Mine is right outside my front door.

Every vehicle in the driveway is an unintentional project car really

BUGGY
This is gonna be sweet. Didnt someone here set up a pair of these carbs a while ago?
this thing is ridiculously cool and i love it so much
I mean, may as well consider my charger a project car since it likes to break shit often enough. It's either two steps out my side door or ten minutes away at my office/mechanics.
Denver had a bunch of snow fall starting around 5pm Friday and going past midnight into Sunday morning.

Is ldesus bug fuel injected? Also i think theres a few other big owners here.
Anyways, how did the solexes work for you? Is yours sp or dp? I might have to ask you more questions later. I dont remember right but i may have dicked up the linkage last time.
No Beetles except the newer Mexican ones are fuel injected, so no, mine's carbed. Also dp. All Beetles from 1968 and up are dp.
Also they work great. It's got more power but it isn't faster. Just quicker 0-100 kph.
Might of screwed up a number there. I seem to of misplaced the quotation but the total bill is $730.
Nope. I was wrong. So much for having money to play with after the underbudget transmission swap.

Qty 5 Motomaster 205/75R15------------------------------------------$382.45
Qty 1 Tire Balancing *I thought this shit was free with the swap?------$115.00
Qty 1 Four wheel alignment--------------------------------------------$89.99
----- Labour----------------------------------------------------------$360.98
...and because I knew the idler arm was acting fucky, of course that turned out to be failed bushings that had to be changed for the alignment.
Oh well, looks like I don't have a massive amount of play in the steering anymore. \:v:/
Idler Arm Bushing replacement-----------------------------------$185.99
That gives you the raw estimate. Also pushes the roof replacement forward by two weeks.

About 15 minutes.
Wish I had a garage at home.
On the hunt for new tires. The RT43's were downright dangerous this last down pour.
My car was all over the road, hydroplaning as if i was riding on slicks.
I'm looking at 205/75/15 mainly, though 215/70/15 is an option. 205/70/15 is stock.
Looking to go aggressive on a budget, 205/75/15 is just big enough to get into offroad tires.
Anyone have suggestions?
I LOVED my Douglas Xtra Trac II's. They've been discontinued, the new All Season is not aggressive nearly as much. Needs to be under $300.
The Cooper Weathermaster S/T2 and TrendSetter look like good options. Would love some General Grabber AT2's, but expensive as hell.
So, weird question. On the Yota, I've noticed now that it's getting warmer that if I tend to restart the truck while the engine is warm (such as doing grocery runs or getting dinner to go, or something quick like such), it has a hard time starting and tends to idle rough until I run the in gear for a few seconds once I get it started. Cold starts are fine beyond stalling if I don't rev it for the first second or two. And when it's warm, you can clearly tell it's running rich for the first few minutes until it gets going again.
Does this seem like an issue, or just a run of the mill 1980s carb being a pain in the ass and I'm not used to it?
Only thing i can think of would be that the float needles arnt sealing and a bit of fuel is making it into the engine. When I had my Catalina with the 2bbl Rochester, it'd flood a bit after warming up making starting harder. Eventually I had to rebuild it which fixed the issue. Can't say i know how the carb on your yoda is put together but a rebuild might be in your future. Rich running was a common issue till then as well, all the needles and jets were all kinds of fucked up and worn.

Oh shit i was going off of your avatar and i didnt recognize you. My bad. Is it 1600cc then? What jet sizes do you have in the solexes? Also, could you sync the carbs with one snail gague, or did you have to get two? Actually now that i think about it, i wonder if i could hook my motorcycle sync tool up to the nipples on the manifolds.

I didnt have any more room in my driveway or garage so i cleared off a concrete slab in my backyard and got a 10x20 tent.
Anyone can recommend me a good used oil analysis service by mail? I wanna try out liquimoly 5w40 in my speed 3, and see if its better than rotella t6.

It used to be a 1300, but that engine literally broke in half (crankshaft) last year so now I've got a 1600. The jet sizes I have no idea. They are two single Solex 34 carbs anyway that I bought ages ago. The sync was done with one gauge, yes, but you have to block off the sync tube between the carbs.

Couple of mine
So I'm trying to find an ECU for my turbo miata project, and got recommended Megasquirt 3 PNP over the MS 2 PNP and other solutions. The only problem is, I can't seem to find anyone that sells MS3 PNP for a 97 model year.

Literally every model year except 96-97, would anyone know why that is?

Fuck I would LOVE to go to Ebisu one day, buy a drift car and spend 2 weeks drifting.
In other news, I just bought a AST 4100 suspension kit from a E46 M3.

Was that this week? Didn't he do the exact same thing to the left side of his car at the one main turn or w.e.
Plus that man drives like a bat out of hell.
i got a flat, but the guys who did my tyres tightened the nuts too hard to get off by hand. i need to get the wheel off to put my spare on to get a new one.
any ideas on how i can get the wheel off?
I usually lurk this thread, I never thought my stock 2000 Jetta VR6 was interesting enough to post.
Well, I just got these pictures in of the new wheelios, the car just got in:

I get home to take delivery in 2 weeks! I can share more once I actually see it in person.
Put the lug wrench on the lug and hit it with the spare tire??? Unless you can rig up some sorta snipe, dropping a heavy-ish load on the tire iron is all I can think of. Jump on it/kick it
Stand and jump on it and swear profusely like I do.
my step dad was over doing some renos and we already tried all of the above. just ended up bending the tyre iron.
remove the subframe
[editline]2nd May 2017[/editline]
Also dude my man what are you doing, you had this problem about a month ago. Buy a nice length breaker bar to replace your tire iron.
Today I finally replaced the fuel pressure sensor in the Volvo after a year of CEL lights. Losing engine power on the highway multiple times in no fun.
Some PB blaster or a torch and then jump on the tire iron

Of youre at home: Find the correct socket and get a breaker bar.
