if you have absolutely zero tools it's something you can do for $30 in 20 minutes in the autozone parking lot
I used to have a 120pc Craftsmen set but most of them have disappeared over the years so I picked up a 60pc duralast set yesterday. I got a buddy giving me a ride to work and I can either do it in his driveway or possibly my apartment parking lot. I mostly just don't want to fuck my car up since it's my daily and only transportation. And after doing some reading on helicoil, it's seems to be a bandaid solution before selling the car. But I'm not spending $400 on the Ford recommended kit. [editline]7th May 2017[/editline] Either way it's waiting till payday on Friday.
Cleaned the car and noticed a blister in the paint. On a suspicion I set the pressure to full blast and gave it a shot. ...It's probably gonna need a plate welded in.
get timeserts if you're not confident in helicoils. better than stock [editline]8th May 2017[/editline] that isn't too bad. spray with rust neutralizer, bondo, and repaint
I just finished washing and drying my car and it decides to rain for a literal two minutes. Silly me thought it was safe to dry it off once the sky cleared and it rains again an hour later. I've been bamboozled.
that isn't too bad. spray with rust neutralizer, bondo, and repaint
It's decaying from inside the panel. If I don't cut it out it will spread.
what you can't see won't hurt you

They even have Ford triton specific timeserts. :v: Ah shit, that's the $400 kit

So I and a few other friends are getting a decent car group going in my little ol' town and would like to know a good place where we can get some stickers custom made to represent our group name?
I think Clutch2 makes stickers. Speaking of which, I haven't seen him post in a while
So I and a few other friends are getting a decent car group going in my little ol' town and would like to know a good place where we can get some stickers custom made to represent our group name?
if you're in a large-ish city you probably have a local vinyl printing place that could do it for you otherwise check out some of the people who make car stickies (check /osg/), usually all that stuff is small-batch anyway so if you have a decent group of people they'd probably be willing to quote you something. i bought a batch of 7 stickers from a guy in that thread and they were p alright. they took forever to get here because he was in canada and customs held them for like 3 weeks though. [t]http://i.imgur.com/c69iFLzh.jpg[/t]
That's awesome that CO has such a great car scene. Even going to nearby MA for events, I haven't seen an entry list quite that big. That course does seem a tad on the slow side, but still has a solid layout. I once considered maybe eventually moving to CO, but then I realized the winters would be even worse than they are in NH, and would probably take a little longer to melt as well!

People will try just about anything. At least this got the numbers halfway right!
So I get a call from the shop today. They have the old transmission out and were verifying that I wasn't gonna have reasons to pull it again (which makes sense because it's a pain in the ass). The clutch seemed to have about half its life left in it (seems a bit odd as it was replaced in 2015) but the other issue was the rear main seal is leaking. That I'm a bit more confused about as I had that changed in 2014. It's only seen about 50000km which seems low. How long do those seals usually last? I was expecting at least another 100000km.
Probably wasn't done right to begin with. I had to redo many main seals because of idiot techs not cleaning/scotchbrite-ing the seal bore and journal surface on the crankshaft.
Got my motor today after like what feels like at least 3 months, also got to park the Integra back in the garage finally! [t]http://i.imgur.com/QtN5AnI.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/bYVXrwm.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Hf7pzjR.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/bQi2TNP.jpg[/t] Was slightly disappointed that it saw so much salt but it's still low miles. Everything was great until I opened the valve cover........ [t]http://i.imgur.com/gXdTiwS.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/1zRfeSi.jpg[/t] WTF WHY IS THERE ROLLER ROCKERS IN MY HEAD. P08 intake mani, properly sized throttle body and exhaust manifold? Nope, it's a fucking P07 VTEC-E, Economy VTEC head. So like 95hp and like 30hp under vtec for that sick 50mpgs. Turns out that I guess there's a D15B with a P07 head but all of the P08 "bolt ons", why Honda decided not to match this motor up with the proper intake/exhaust manis astounds me. What I was trying to purchase was meant to have with a P08 head which is the same head used on a D16Z6. Supposedly even if I even got a Z6/Y8 head for this motor, it would have like 8.1:1 compression too. It's literally a D15Z1 with OEM bolt-ons lol Fuck my life, it's gonna be like July before I get this pile of shit running. This is just dead on my luck like always. Bought it from the place that I did because of things like this, gotta call them up and get the exchange figured out if I don't get a call back later tonight. They actually care if you get the product you bought or not, most importers just ship out whatever they got in a container/half cut and couldn't give two shits if it's what you thought you were buying or not.
Now that all the ball joints and tie rods are in place and awesome, my new bushings and camber bolts will be here next week. The blazer already drives better than it has in years, but with the new bushings it should be even better. And I learned a valuable lesson on suspension parts and why K series MOOG is highly regarded. [editline]8th May 2017[/editline] And apparently, the mechanics like it since they offered me $1800 for the damn thing when I was getting an alignment. The frame is still solid and the interior is clean. A rarity after 18 years of harsh winters.
Probably going to pull all my trim tomorrow and refinish it. The chromed plastic around the gear selector is scratched and ugly so if I can get that off, it's going to get refinished too. I'm probably going to refinish it all in a brushed look because honestly this fake wood stuff is p. ugly.
Well thats a cute lil car I think the buggy is bigger
But does it sound like this? (Not my video but you get an idea)
Please make a vid of the exhaust. I heard one driving through a parking lot and it put my SRT-4 to shame. Nothing but turbo and burble. It was awesome.
