I have some respect for those, but I still can't get over the FWD layout, especially in those super special track editions! Even with the horrid Fiat/Chrysler reliability, I probably buy one as a second car if RWD was the case. Small enough that I could possibly store it my parent's basement if I needed to, like my Miata.
It's the European way for the most part, cars here just evolved into a FWD majority. They've not got insane power for FWD cars, there's others with far more like Focus STs, Honda Civics and whatnot, so it's not unreasonable for a FWD to handle 200 or so horsepower. I've not driven any RWD cars so I can't judge but my 160HP Fiesta is a good fun car to drive, it handles well and dives into corners with very little understeer.
Twingo is now rear-engine rwd, right? Did they make a fast version already? Because they should
Yes and no, but they did make a concept twingo with a 320bhp v6, idk where that concept car is now
Twingo is now rear-engine rwd, right? Did they make a fast version already? Because they should
There is a faster version of the Twingo, but it's not in the Twingo body... (All of this is thumb'd for huge and laziness) Soooooo today I did a thing. I bought an AW11 for $850 including delivery. [t]http://i.imgur.com/LzPPSBj.jpg[/t] It's uh, special. The Bumper has been pushed in, but it hasn't killed the frame or even touch the radiator. It also is very dirty. [t]http://i.imgur.com/kNs8AML.jpg[/t] No apparent oil leaks, but just coated in dirt, and the interior is just as bad. [t]http://i.imgur.com/tE3YlUh.jpg[/t] The first thing I need to tackle is getting a new battery. Both batteries the dude had were absolutely dead. We could jump the car and get it to run, but as soon as we'd remove the jumper the car would die, went and got both batteries checked, and they said they were dead. Previous owner said the alternator is relatively new, but I'll keep an eye on it. It be a simple thing to just throw in a new battery, but the previous owner did a shit on the wiring and made it a mess. [t]http://i.imgur.com/pF6Mfee.jpg[/t] The other cable is a messed up extension that is really ratty. So that's my first step, replace the battery cables. Other things to fix include a clutch pedal adjustment, fix the power window mechanism to keep the window up, change all the fluids, bumper, broken signal lamps and covers, brakes, and fix the speedo. But first the goddamn battery and cables. Now as you can see in that last picture, those connectors aren't gonna fit on the standard terminal. A quick google shows that their are adapters, but is there another way? TL;DR: Got an AW11 for under 1k, I absolutely love it but it needs a lot done before I can get it on the road. ALL HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.
Dear duct. Pressure wash all the things.
Dear duct. Pressure wash all the things.
Already on the list.
Dear DuCT: Please send me some of your luck finding nice project cars for cheap (ish). Also, remove all the wire harness from the engine bay and check all connectors for weakness and or failure, check all grounds and clean as necessary. Check tire dates (DOT 1234 XXXX, Where xxxx is tire manufacturer date, example; 1234 would be 12th week of year and 34 would be year. 3 digits like 123 would be 12th week of 1993) A heat gun on low and a TON of patience with 4 extra hand can pull that front bumper dent out. DO NOT get too close or try to cut time down and dont be forceful, that'll rip the plastic or melt it or burn what paint is left on it.
Cleaning day for my 2013 Charger. [t]http://i.imgur.com/VgjMjZP.jpg[/t] ft. 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (Not Mine) [t]http://i.imgur.com/y3SZWrt.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/CguQwTa.jpg[/t]
https://allentown.craigslist.org/cto/6082292531.html
lmao is she selling her car or herself
Twingo is now rear-engine rwd, right? Did they make a fast version already? Because they should
There's the Twingo GT, a 900cc turbo with 110 horsepower, but that's as hot as it gets for the Twingo. The concept version from a couple of years ago was the Renault TwinRun which had a V6. [editline]10th May 2017[/editline]
lmao is she selling her car or herself
mostly her books I think
whats the rental??
eco shitbox :v: ford fiesta i think.
I made a to do list :suicide: The plan was to drive on June 23, which gives me 43 days. That should be enough really, however I don't think I'll be able to get the finances together to finish it before that date. So more realistically, I'll probably be able to drive it in like August :(
I couldn't figure out why my suspension was riding like crap, so while waiting on someone to show up I decided to take all of my wheels off and re-do my spring pre-loads. Came across this. Front left spring wasn't even tight. Just fre-floating as the perch moved up and down on it's own. :disgust: Rides better, but still not the same as it did when I got them a month or so ago. Not sure what's going on.
Anyone with an MR2 want to post there battery cables? I'm in the process of ordering the Haynes and BGB, but I'm really confused as to what the fuck the other guy did.
I went to O'Reilley's and bought what I thought was an air compressor. It's just a tank. I didn't even know that was an option to buy the tank and compressor separately. Edit: Helicoil is in. Just gotta wait for the rtv to set.
Sooo got a problem. My brother left an 03 Saab 9-5 with the GM 3.0 turbo motor in the yard two years or so back and it's seized up now. Marvel Mystery Oil down the plug holes still the go-to for crap like this?

Edit: Helicoil is in. I also find that 3-in-1 oil for little things like hinges works amazingly, because it gets fucking everywhere even if the god damned bottle is closed. Something with 3-in-1 will almost never seize. Mix these things evenly 3 ways and you'll have god-teir unseizing fluid. I did this with an old lawnmower engine and it's still in use today.
went to the drag strip and finally ran a decent time! after a best of 12.9 this is a big improvement. i was surprised that the factory all seasons hooked up in 1st gear!! definitely didn't expect that..
Fuel filter kinda clogged? Fuel pressure low-ish? Don't wanna fix it today and just wanna go to the store? Just up the injector opening time in megasquirt :v:
Please make a vid of the exhaust. I heard one driving through a parking lot and it put my SRT-4 to shame. Nothing but turbo and burble. It was awesome.
Will do, I'll try to make something soonish.
So I get a call from the shop today. They have the old transmission out and were verifying that I wasn't gonna have reasons to pull it again (which makes sense because it's a pain in the ass). blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah
Get another call yesterday. They pull the flywheel off and immediately determine the seal is fine but instead the oil is from the distributor oil seal above. Okay, that I at least knew needed to be done so he won't charge me for the time needed to reach the rear main and told him what the hell, if you are in there change the distributor seal.
