Well, if nothing else, they sound cool. :v: [editline]20th May 2017[/editline] Washed my car, and noticed a nice crack on the bottom edge of my bumper above my passenger side tail pipe. Wonder if some mf'er backed into me. >:(
Dosn't every single crown Vic have thoes?
It's just one spot, like a tow hitch hit me on the underside of my bumper though.
Boys.... I bought a new car. [T]http://i.imgur.com/2VziRPu.jpg[/t] Got afew things to do to it. My boss said the head gasket was blown and dumping coolant into the oil. I ran it for 30min and drive it and it only overheated never had cream oil. Also the fans were moving REALLY slow. So I got some diagnostics to do. 200 dolla, 33k miles. Mint ass interior.
No creamy oil doesn't mean the head gasket's necessarily good. The gasket could be failing around the cooling jacket and dumping antifreeze into the cylinder like it was with my car.
Dosn't every single crown Vic have thoes?
Ive gotten straight up rear ended at a stoplight, and my bumper isnt even cracked or even stressed anywhere.
CVPIs have the rust spot on the outside of the fender over the rear wheels
my fender rust spots are worse in the front left than either rear one
Fenders are rust free But maybe my bumper just cracked on its own idk [T]https://imgur.com/khhD8lB.jpg[/t]

I think it overheats because the fans are not going full tilt. I have to diagnose further tomorrow and possibly do a leak down test. I did a 0-100 pull and holyshit this things fast for a old man's car.
Your Grom is awesome! I've never messed with my oil pump so I don't know. In regards to oil cooling, you could go for a bigger oil cooler, but YMMV from what I've researched it doesn't do too much. With my bike as an example, some have gone to a huge NCR oil cooler for like $600 but temps haven't been more than a ~5 or so degrees cooler at the best case. One person removed his cooler from the loop completely because it sprung a leak during a road trip and he said his temps didn't actually change much from normal. Hell, my friend's brand new Iron 883 doesn't have an oil cooler.
I did a little more research and I'm pretty sure I can keep it cool by adjust the A/F, I'm fairly certain it's running lean right now. I just put an order in for a PC5, gonna try and extend the life of my tiny lady as much as possible.
https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/6118621379.html Looking at this Thursday. Thoughts? I test drove one before and absolutely loved it. It's just...ugh 24k for a car nearly ten years old that bugs me. But I always find them in that price range. I know it's a lexus...and a ISF but man, my friend got a 2015 mustang by nearly fully loaded for cheaper at 30k miles on it. I just really enjoyed driving one and could see it as a long lasting daily that can carry 4 people as well as being peppy.

I had to swerve and hit a curb, fucked my rim up and lost my trim ring ( I couldn't find it so I guess it just took off w/o me ?? ) [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/243424476056911872/315758236219473933/IMG_20170521_094511.jpg[/t] Good thing I have enough spares to fuck up all my rims :v: [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/243424476056911872/315758236819128330/IMG_20170521_094623.jpg[/t]
Damn that's nice, I love that old school vibe. I used to have a Harley, had to sell it to get my house. Buying this 250 has actually really surprised me. Its a shockingly fun and quick little bike. I thought id be bored coming off a big vtwin but I'm having just as much fun.
when people say blown head gasket in a north star it's usually a lifted head
Yeh, if you go to the work of pulling engine to do them make sure to stud the head. North stars. My old 4.0 North Star aurora would overhear like crazy if it sat idling, so fans are def important in that engine.. however at speed it should run in the middle with or without fans. Most gm fans run at 2 speeds. Did ya check the state of the coolant? Make sure it's not fucking mud. Otherwise, before you do anything slapping a new thermostat in is always a good starting point. But you know that lol. Any who, great find.. it's a wonderful car.
Sadly yes.
LS1 swap, sleeper grandpappy car :v:
Anyone have any idea what kind of car this is I saw at work? It had no badging on it and otherwise no indication on what kind of make/model it was. I wanna say it's an AMC Javelin but I could be wrong. [t]http://i.imgur.com/qvx2m2R.jpg[/t]
AMC Javelin, '69 probably
I know it's not a car but it has an engine :v: I've just got to mount the tires on the Snapper but I ended up with this yesterday: [t]http://i.imgur.com/7WOCB8V.jpg[/t] Turns out my mom got a new mower so guess who gets the old salty lawn champion?

Just bought an '02 Buick LeSabre. Has one critical spot of rust on the frame, but other than that it's really solid for the price. 3800 Series II, nothing noteworthy as Buicks go. [editline]e[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/5UAAA9Q.jpg[/t] Camry has a 2/3 chance of getting scrapped, plate transfer going to the Buick, and the Sunfire just won't die

My conclusion of my recent addition to the family. After about a hr of small trips I'm obviously burning coolant in my exhaust. I have no check engine light yet but it is defently losing coolant. I do not have the facility's to drop the motor from underneath I hadn't talk to my mechanic buddie yet to discuss to helicoil it or stud it and how much he will bend me backwards on it for. If I'm in this car for 2-3k I would be happy. The a/c worked yesterday and now it says low refrigerant. I guess that's the whoes of sitting for 10 years.
if you're lucky it's one of the models where you'd just have to swap two pulleys around to turn it into a fast gocart.
boy I sure do miss my racing mower. souped up 22 horse briggs on a little bitty yard machines frame, top speed of 70 miles per hour. it was good. ran a faster quarter than my beetle.
So i put a set of test plugs in the jag a week or two ago. They're already glazing over. Something ain't right. I'll get replacement sensors for the EFI, i don't know when they were last replaced. And the window seals are going front and back for good measure. Thanks Coventry. Anybody know what to do about the window seals going? I'm tempted to just throw a tiny amount of silicon seal in there and press it in to seal it, but that feels too easy/janky
