Es sollte "es sollte" sein :) [editline]17th June 2015[/editline] In other words, thanks for your help but my writing is quite alright. [editline]17th June 2015[/editline] I suppose I should also clarify why you're wrong about the "aber" thing. If "aber" were an adverb, you'd be correct. However, "aber" is a coordinating conjunction, which means that the clause which it connects has the same word order as if it were a standalone sentence. Therefore you'd write a sentence like "Ich ging zu der Bank, aber sie war zu." I went to the bank, but it was closed. not "Ich ging zu der Bank, aber war sie zu." This is incorrect. I went to the bank, but was it closed. It ends up sounding like a question. If it were a question (which wouldn't make sense in that context) it would be correct. I thought the bank was open, but was it actually closed? Remember the difference between coordinating conjunctions (aber, und, denn, sondern, oder, etc.) and adverbs. "Also" is an adverb commonly mistaken by students to be a coordinating conjunction. I am new here, so I don't know the city well. not "Ich bin neu hier, also ich kenne die Stadt nicht gut." This is incorrect. Hopefully that helps
I'm going to Vancouver in the coming Monday, woo!
Turns out there's a Chinese cafe with bubble tea here in the middle of nowhere. I had no clue. I might go buy some tomorrow, I hope they speak Mandarin, though it'll be awkward as fuck trying to use it.
If i score more than 90%, i probably get to go to Canada in January (for free!) and study there for a term. Last time i took an english exam, which was the TOEFL iTP, i scored 97.5%. Still, i'm pretty nervous. Absolutely love the alphabet and the writing. I tried to learn it by myself once, but it's hard for me to learn anythig without a schedule.

duolingo is really neat, but it's driving me up the wall that i can't type in transliterated cyrillic since i'm too lazy to change my keyboard language trying my hand at ukrainian fyi
Finally finished learning the Korean alphabet. Yayyyyy vocab time
I want to go to a Japanese language school here, but the timings just don't work out. One is on Saturday mornings for almost a full year, and I work basically every weekend. The other is evenings, which works better for me, but I'm not sure of what they cover in those evenings, and it'd basically mean 8 weeks of having no spare time after work some days.
珍珠奶茶 would be good enough I don't know if they make bubble tea out of other tea but they'll probably specify it if that's the case
They have like 20 types of tea. Though a lot of it isn't tea, I was going off the menu.

11 hours economy class is a torture I can't feel my bum
I'm trying to have Anki clean up old media files I don't need, roughly 750MB of them, and it's currently unresponsive and eating over a gig of my RAM.

Unfortunately, the only language I know other than English is American Sign Language. Which I'm fluent in. Unfortunate because I can't talk to people in it through a forum. :\
Take pictures.

Hallo. Using Duolingo to learn German. Also I took Ancient Greek in high school so go me?
Anyone else here have interest in the Klingon Language, anyone besides me have Klingon Hamlet?
i love TNG but have no interest in learning klingon however chances are i'll still take a crack at it when it comes to duolingo
Japanese needs to hurry up and get on Duolingo :v: You can, though, practice your Japanese by going on the Japanese > English course.
You would think they could just reverse the Japanese questions then go from there.
Learning the Cyrillic was the easiest part but memorizing words is a pain. Don't even want to know how difficult it is to learn the syntax of Russian (already finding it pretty tough)

Best way to learn is to go ahead and watch Russian TV and movies and read children's books.
