Memrise dude, it does wonders for remembering stuff like that.

My friend used Anki for the kana. It worked wonders for him.

Small question - how are the ら-sounds pronounced after ん? For example in the word べんり, since the tongue is already touching the roof of the mouth, should I make a softened "D" sound from there? That would effectively make it sound kinda like "bendy". Or maybe I'm just not pronouncing the "R" sound properly at all :v:

It is different from a "d" sound, where the tongue is touching your teeth (or at least very close to), not your palate.

I gathered that that was your name, but that really doesn't transliterate well. I thought your first name was Ilshad. [editline]8th July 2015[/editline] And personally for Lexington, I'd have done レクシングトン because of the way vowel de-voicing would work. Transliteration is annoying.

Well I googled it and your way is apparently the way Wikipedia did it, so I guess that makes me wrong.

I think the 3rd is incomplete, you can combine/compare them: 我的大学的日语课有一百多个学生，但是我的汉语课只有二十个学生。 I like this better: 我的大学(的)日语课。。。 Yours might be correct though, im actually not sure

Man they were really obvious changes too. 谢谢 I have problems with not finishing sentences where the equivalent in English would just use a magic context word to lazily finish it. Once you've learned a little more than 你好 hit us up on QQ if you would like. We practice in a group occasionally with both non-native and native speakers while native speakers often practise English. I started using it after a month or two of learning. My advice, learn the characters along with the pinyin, otherwise you jumble up words because so many sound the same. It's also awesome to read and write Chinese. Does anyone know any good self-study materials for Mandarin? (intermediate level) atm I use memrise and [url]http://www.listeningpractice.org/[/url] I studied languages 4 months in Beijing and 1+ year in Tokyo. My Japanese is JLPT N1 level and my chinese is around HSK 3. I've also self-studied a bit of Korean.

在我的大学我们学简体，　但是我喜欢繁体 I might be going to Taiwan so I have been paying attention to some traditional characters but to pass my course at Uni I need to be able to read/write simplified so that's my main focus for now.
