I remember there being a whole thing about TBM. I can't really remember what it was though. God that was a long time ago.
TBM was called out to be infected with a virus that would destroy you blockland installation, or something along those lines by the maker of RTB (Badspot?).
TBM was called out to be infected with a virus that would destroy you blockland installation, or something along those lines by the maker of RTB (Badspot?).
Found a news release from July 2005. http://blockland.us/img/Security-Warning.html
Do NOT use TBM Rumors have surfaced recently that the makers of TBM have developed scripts that will damage a users Blockland directory if they attempt to use TBM code or models in a way that they don't approve of. I questioned Rob and MCP (aka Kier) of the TBM crew about this on IRC and they admitted to developing such a script. I questioned them separately about other hacking incidents involving TBM, which they both admitted to, but they tried to pin the blame on each other. These people cannot be trusted and their mod, TBM, should be considered a security risk. MCP has shown a tendency towards spite, vengeance and hacker ethics. I recommend you delete TBM and its auto-updater immediately.
Crap, its all coming back to me now. That's why everyone moved over to RTB.
Aw man, I remember playing this like forever ago. I even still have a screenshot I took of the first thing I built. Linked because bitmap
Wait, is there a way to convert a Blockland key into a Steam key?
What's happening, why is this game resurfacing after so many years? Can someone in the loop let me know? Have they overhauled the engine or added a tonne of features?
What's happening, why is this game resurfacing after so many years? Can someone in the loop let me know? Last I checked a few months ago, it was still going through that process.
I remember a long time ago in Roblox there was a game mode or server or something, where you would build your own vehicle out of Lego and enter a destruction derby with other players and their vehicles. It was amazing and every individual piece of lego block was physically simulated and bits would smash everywhere :v: I also remember a game mode where you would build a tower out of bricks to survive a tsunami. It really sucks because I can't find it and there's no game like that.
Yeah it would do it if you tried to modify the files or something and everyone got really pissed. Badspot called them out on it. There was also something about a back door or something. It was pretty messed up.
More specifically, they only added that stuff because people kept putting TBM stuff into those "all-in-one" packs after they said not to. Like I said, big clusterfuck
Is the community still terrible? I remember that they liked to pick on new players and acted like 12 year olds.
How much does the game cost now? I was a dumbass kid and forgot to save my blockland key, and this peaked my interest in the game again.
How much does the game cost now? I was a dumbass kid and forgot to save my blockland key, and this peaked my interest in the game again.
It's on sale for 33% off right now on steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/250340/
This used to be my dream, now I'm older. Though if it has an active community I might buy it.
This looks amazing. I remember playing Roblox ages ago, and from what I can tell the physics system in this is so much smoother than Roblox.

I have fond memories of feverishly working on a stadium with one of my friends a long time ago in Return to Blockland.
And I realized that I gave my only key to my friend long time ago... :(

I used to loove Blockland, and this trailer has recaptivated me. Re-purchased through Steam!
"Look at all this well choreographed stuff you probably won't do!" Gotta admit it's a great trailer though, going to reinstall now. Only 57mb on steam apparently. [editline]16th December 2013[/editline] Oh wow, they removed maps. That's really incredibly goofy.
Sounds like a lot of nostalgia for others... Is this something "new" people can get into? I bought it years ago when I was a kid but never had the time to play it much. what does agree mean, agreeing with the question or that its still fun?
So how does it hold up today? Is it still good?
This game would look so cool with some AO, would've really made the blocks "pop".

I think the game comes with block recreations of the maps themselves, so it's not a particulrly big issue.
So nobody is going to talk about the jet plane flying through space at 1:42 then?
Someone had a Finn skin in the video. I might just buy it to dick around with a group of friends.
