Ask your mother. She knows what being shot feels like. :smug: /13yearoldjoke
Like getting shot is a big deal.. Haven't you played Far Cry 2. All you need to do is to take rip the bullet out with your fingers and you'll be all fine.
I've been shot in the arm by an AK 47 in the Korean DMZ. It hurts alot and feels like a sharp stabbing burning pain that you can't stop. Some people say that it feels blunt or something but I don't know, I didn't feel it like that. However my friend lost a leg and a hand because he stepped on a land mine (or a land mine blew up next to him). Can't imagine how painful it was for him. (Sorry if the English is not good. English is not my first language)
i was shot in the Achilles heal once in Falujah back in '04 while i was on duty
Doubt that since you're so immature. [editline]11:12AM[/editline]
Where's Big Dumb American or whatever when you need him
Training to be a UAV pilot IIRC.
I've been shot, but only once. It was for chicken box :downsrim:
Most army's use rounds which expand outward. This decreases the chance of death and that's what they want. It takes more men to help a wounded soldier than one that's dead.
Army's mostly use FMJ not Hollow Points IIRC, but landmine's are designed to wound not bullets.
Army's mostly use FMJ not Hollow Points IIRC, but landmine's are designed to wound not bullets.
actually mines are designed more specifically to incapacitate as many individuals as possible
I knew a guy who was deployed a couple years back, he got shot twice in the lower back and once in the ass. He says it hurt the most when they took the bullet out, and that it hurts to shit now.
The initial penetration, he said, most guys don't even feel. It's the massive burning sensation...
:ohdear:
Getting shot is an extremely big deal in reality. Bullets tear your flesh apart and cause extensive damage. Almost all gunshots will result in permanent damage.
I got shot in the arse with a .22 air rifle pellet, wasn't nice picking that out.
I havn't been in a war or any shoot out but i was shot by a 9mm at my club... well it was a rebound but it still when through my leg. yes i did hurt.
Insurgency Mod is a decently realistic (mildly) one shot kill game.
My brother is deployed in Kirkook Iraq. Does that count? Hasnt been shot though, thank god. Pics for proof:
This post is pretty old, but DAMN your bro looks badass in that picture.
I've been shot on 2 separate occasions. To you guys that want to know how painful a gunshot feels: You know the big bone at the base of your neck? Clench your fist, and punch yourself there, as hard as you can, about 4 times. If you're doing it right, the pain will first feel very sharp, then dull, and will start burning for about 5 or so minutes. That times 10, is what you feel when you're shot. That's the best I can describe it to you.
Seriously, where do you get this crap from? In terms of bullets, one to the chest is easilly enough to put down someone. Taking three bullets to the chest and living is basically a lottery win type chance. As soon as a bullet enters the rib cage chances are it won't stop for a while and will richochet inside of you, mushing up all of your internals as it goes.
Yeah never mind the fact that there's huge spaces between the ribs. And I thought everyone heard about the power of PCP
Yeah never mind the fact that there's huge spaces between the ribs. And I thought everyone heard about the power of PCP
Speaking of our ribs, I wonder what human ribmeat would taste like when bbq'd like baby back ribs. I'm curious now...
Most army's use rounds which expand outward. This decreases the chance of death and that's what they want. It takes more men to help a wounded soldier than one that's dead.
Bullet's are designed to kill, means one less gun returning fire on you, so you go to destroy, after all a wounded man can still fire a gun. Designed to rip and slice all the flesh it can, and transfer all of it's energy into the target to kill them and shatter bone. Same as this bullet
In real life you aren't out of commission in 1 shot... In fact, even taking a hit from a .357 magnum to the chest, you've got around 8 seconds on average to return fire before you'll be incapacitated. (To who ever rated that dumb, go read up on handgun stopping power and stop playing video games for a second.) As for the pain of it, that's going to depend heavily on the situation and what you were shot by. Getting hit by a 22lr, if it just passes through your leg or something without tearing anything major up, you may not even notice for hours until you see the blood. I'd imagine getting hit by the latest-greatest wiz-bang self defense handgun rounds would be the most painful thing imaginable.
Especially with hollow points as shown in the picture above ^^ Now THAT would hurt. Your skin tearing on the way in, hot metal flying through your leg (or anywhere else) and coming out the other side 4 times as big as it entered literally RIPPING out quite a large chunk of skin and muscle [editline]06:45PM[/editline]
Getting shot is an extremely big deal in reality. I would say more like always because well...you have a hole in your flesh! Really Squaken?
