What many need to understand is that this person, just like many others who live for and obsess over becoming internet famous, is only trying to extend her 15 minutes of fame. She wants to be in the spot light and found an opertunity. Social media, and the obsession people have with social connectivity drives them to do childish and downright ridiculous things. And for what? More follows, more likes, more internet fame that in 95% of the cases never turns into anything more than just that, internet fame. In the end it all means nothing and even ends up sparking more anger and hatred towards the one seeking the fame than it does opportunities or anything good. It's sad and pathetic and this person does not even deserve her own facepunch thread let alone her own twitter account. Rather, this person should get off the internet for a while, and maybe even read a book called " the boy who cried wolf".
They are acting out her fucking harassment. It's not even trying to look honest.
Not defending some of the stupid shit she's done or how dramatized this documentary is but can we can all agree doxxing and death/rape threats need to fuck off?
Not defending some of the stupid shit she's done or how dramatized this documentary is but can we can all agree doxxing and death/rape threats need to fuck off?
I was gonna say something about the mentioning of doxxing in this, too. The group of people they interview (her friends, that "crowd" [you know what I'm talking about]) go on about doxxing being so bad, but it always seems like a completely necessary tool for them to use against anyone that disagrees with their opinions or challenges them in any way...
If you think there is a sniper chasing you, I'm pretty sure you should call the fucking police, not the news. Especially not syfy.
Not defending some of the stupid shit she's done or how dramatized this documentary is but can we can all agree doxxing and death/rape threats need to fuck off?
Most of these professional victims are the ones that Dox and harass people, Zoe Quinn, Brianna Wu, etc.
She could have averted everything by saying it was a joke hoping to spark a discussion, but instead she drops shit about the dude not understanding because he's a white male. She brought the shitstorm into her life on her own accord.
Suey park flipped and became anti fake-sj (As opposed to real social justice, which is a legitimate and different thing). She made a whole video about how her environment was toxic and cult-like and she has no reason to lie about this anymore unless she flipped back and I haven't heard about it. [editline]25th February 2016[/editline] Plus, I personally know at least one person that would do this. Not actually shoot her, but figure out where she lives if she lives close and do this to her as a joke. [editline]25th February 2016[/editline] it seems like she got pulled back in. honestly, i pity her. we talked a bit during her short period of getting out about how pressured she constantly felt by the community. It's sad to think that she may be under that stress all over again. I know I can't stop people from hating her, but consider that it's probably not entirely willing. In that short period she lost basically all of her friends. She probably caved.
No sympathy. She's a grown ass woman who perfectly understood the consequences of her actions. She was a professional fuckface, and big surprise being a professional fuckface requires extreme (ironically enough) amounts of contextual tact and lightning quick talent to stay in the business (ask Rush Limbaugh, Al Sharpton), and she has neither. She is an F- grade demagogue, deserves every iota of shit she helped to throw on herself.
She could have averted everything by saying it was a joke hoping to spark a discussion
She did that though.
She did that though.
Only well after the fact. If she had said it immediately after the #CancelColbert thing started she might have just been able to play it all off as a joke back at Colbert but then again her past tweets would probably have damned her anyways.
Most of these professional victims are the ones that Dox and harass people, Zoe Quinn, Brianna Wu, etc.
AFAIK she never at any point doxxed anyone and it'd be offensive to insinuate that she deserves it because she's extremely vaguely in the same crowd of people. Don't know what your point is
Even if she was just joking, when you say you want to Cancel Colbert without any sense of exaggeration or irony (if that didn't happen then sorry), what did she think would happen?
