I personally think the Gherkin is one of the most amazing/beautiful buildings in London, if not Europe.

That looked like fun! you guys should totally come down to the portsmouth coastline, theres loads of nuclear tunnels to urbex
Anyway these can go into a downloadable zip? A lot of these would make excellent backgrounds.

I could put some of them in a zip file, but not tonight.
Went up there at about 8pm and came down at 10:30, so no, we were up there for about 2 and a half hours.
If you're asking because of the couple of shots near the end which look like they were taken in the morning, it's because I used a 30 second shutter speed and very high exposure.
that's amazing
Your Urbex is amazing, I'd love to join you guys to do this one day.
Why doesn't MY country have all these abandoned cool things...
Every abandoned building I found has doors and windows sealed with goddamn brick walls
Id love to go urban exploring, no where to really explore around where I live though. Great pictures by the way.
I think it would be epic (in a movie-like way) if the building was scheduled for demolition THAT DAY.
"Wait, what was that?"
*Bulldozer crashes through window*
"SHHHIIIIITTT!"
i've always wanted to try urbex, too bad i live in the mountains of nj.
awesome
Awesome. You are the reason I like URBEX now.
You're really good at UrBex.
How can you be bad at it?
OP, very nice, I think abandoned is just as cool as skyscrapers being built though
Next year I'm hoping to do a few skyscrapers myself, All I've gone through so far was a couple of drains and an abandoned house (no one's ever going to live there again, the house is about 60 years old, and it's almost fell under the weight of it's own roof)
Man that looks so fun. My sisters boyfriend sometimes checks out these threads and he wants to go UrbExing with me sometime. Hopefully we can find a good enough place.
Save up your money and go to Pripyat sometime.

Great photos, some of them would make great desktop wallpaper.

Bring vodka.
This is for people who wanted a selection of full sized images. Some are a bit blurry because it was extremely windy up there.

Abandoned buildings are awesome.
So much crap can be done in them.

That is awesome, I've never seen how people manage to get to the top of buildings which are in use.
These are amazing shots Bengley, Can't wait until I can afford to go to London.
I could put some of them in a zip file, but not tonight.
Thank you for the pictures good sir.
I had pics from my hometown before they imploded an 11 story building, My job was to remove the antennas off the roof for the radio company i worked for...
As i posted in my train thread I will be getting some pics of Las vegas of:
The monorail
City Center
various casinos
hoover dam
other landmarks
I couldn't find the urbex megathread so I hope it's okay to put this here.
Anyway, I have an urbex etiquette question. I understand that taking souvenirs is wrong, simply as a courtesy to the next person to come along. But what if the building only has a few weeks left before it's gone and all the contents get taken to the landfill? How much theft can you justify in the name of preserving cool old shit? None? Some? As much as you can stuff into a backpack and still fit under the fence?
Either way, I'm going back to this place tomorrow night before it's gone.
Wow, those are some amazing photos there. Good job, sir.

Personally I don't care about this etiquette, I've found that a lot of people who do urbex are yobs anyway. Seeing as it's going to be demolished imminently, I'd say go for it.
