It's similar to Raimi's Spider Man, except the main character and his girlfriend are played by a good actors

It's not nothing but light hearted stuff, but it's still supposed to be colorful and entertaining. The Amazing Spider-Man was just boring and lifeless. It felt like it was made by a machine.
yea but that was because of it being a cash grab, not because it was darker
Looks pretty sweet. Looking forward to seeing more of Rhino

Also, good actors are worthless if the script is terrible.
I don't think anyone could write a good script for a reboot of a virtually recent movie whereas the purpose is utterly to prevent the movie rights from going back to Marvel But yeah, even with the list of good people working on this movie, The Amazing Spider Man movies are probably going to be that kind of movie that you watch, think that it was ok and then completely forget about it
is this a joke
It's like from that webseries baman & piderman
What the hell is this?
yeah that part looks somewhat off replace Spidey with Schwarzenegger, problem solved
James Franco was the best Harry Osborn imo
great deduction over the only spiderman franchise with that character available and a trailer that kind of introduces him!
Rhino, Electro, and Hobgoblin? Also saw Doc. Oc's tentacles and some angel-esque wings next to them.

too much shit going on at once, can't they stick with just one central villain?
They're doing this so that the third film can have the Sinister Six.
I feel this electro's design looks a bit silly.
I love the new Spider-Man outfit. It looks spectacular - far and away the best onscreen version so far. It looks like it's right out of the comics! However, that makes the rest of the costumes - and the trailer - much more puzzling. If Spider-Man doesn't have to have a super-realistic costume with pores and textures like crazy, how come the Goblin outfit has all this exposed machinery on it? Why does the Rhino machine (from what little we've seen) look like a overly complex mech? Why does Electro wear a black hoodie for half the movie and then shift to a flat black tech suit? None of these designs are especially interesting, compelling, or memorable. The Green Goblin is especially confusing because it seems like it takes its cues from the Raimi trilogy. In the comics, the Goblin has always been portrayed with an exaggerated style - taking cues from classical goblins, he wears garish purple clothes over green skin, with a huge, twisted smile. Similarly, his glider and pumpkin-bombs go with this lunatic style. Raimi's super-soldier take was clever, but it looked pretty bland (the Dafoe-caricature mask was okay). I presume there will be a similar backstory here to explain why they are reusing the New Goblin costume.
Nitpicking. I like that they are turning Spider-Man into DUUUUUUUN + Exposions. Liked the first one can't wait for the second one. I want Carnage, Venom and the other Symbiotes though, I like those the most.
looks massive
That's what I said. :downs:
They're basing Rhino and Electros looks heavily off of the Ultimate incarnations, and they look pretty close, Electro had two looks in Ultimate comics, blue energy being, and a black suit, and Rhino's suit was just a mech. Also, Spider-Mans suit isnt as ridiculous as Green Goblins, and also, Spider-Mans is made by a dude who doesnt even have a job, Green Goblin, when an Osborn, is a billionaire.
Harry's actor was in Chronicle right? if so he was god damn solid in that movie. This will be good, I love superhero movieseventhoughIronManisobviouslythebestsuperhero

haahahah oh god i was laughing at this fucking track throughout the whole thing. so fucking hilarious

You think that they would of splashed out on the effects a bit.. considering in films like elysium and star trek into darkness has CG that is more or less realistic as fuck..
There was an 8 second clip of Spiderman dodging Electro's shots with shit CGI effects, that will probably be a full scene in the film. I'll give this one a miss.
Wasn't one of the main problems of the original films that they had too many main characters? Why return to that formula?
Aw, as someone who really liked Dane DeHaan in Chronicle, this trailer gives me a great big "eh" impression for his role as Osborne
What, I thought he was playing it great in the preview, however he'd still be a better venom.
Wasn't one of the main problems of the original films that they had too many main characters? Why return to that formula?
Well, everyone's saying that it's just all the different companies trying to make Avengers-like films, since that worked so incredibly well. So out there, right now, you have DC making the Batman vs Superman movie, that's also going to feature Wonder Woman and is apparently gonna have a few other heroes; X-Men: Days of Future Past, as well as another X-Men film that was announced that's part of yet another famous comic book storyline; and finally this movie. All of those (though you can't judge the X-Men movies the same way, since they're actually decent most of the time and don't feel like cash grabs, unlike the other two) seem to have rushed plenty of stuff. The way they announced the Batman vs Supes movie was pretty damn sudden, and I have no doubt Spider-man 2 wasn't going to have this many characters from the start. Basically, they're just trying to keep up with the competition by sticking a shitload of comic book characters in the movies
What, I thought he was playing it great in the preview, however he'd still be a better venom.
I don't think he would suit Eddie Brock at all. [editline]5th December 2013[/editline] Well maybe if he bulked up
What the hell is this?
idk a throwback to comics???????
I don't think he would suit Eddie Brock at all. [editline]5th December 2013[/editline] Well maybe if he bulked up
Ultimate version of spiderman had Harry as venom and Norman as the green goblin.
