Ultimate version of spiderman had Harry as venom and Norman as the green goblin.
Uhhh, are you talking about the animated series Ultimate? Because Harry of Earth 1610 (Ultimate) in the comics, was Hobgoblin and he's dead now. Eddie Brock was still Venom in Earth 1610.
Well, everyone's saying that it's just all the different companies trying to make Avengers-like films, since that worked so incredibly well. So out there, right now, you have DC making the Batman vs Superman movie, that's also going to feature Wonder Woman and is apparently gonna have a few other heroes; X-Men: Days of Future Past, as well as another X-Men film that was announced that's part of yet another famous comic book storyline; and finally this movie. All of those (though you can't judge the X-Men movies the same way, since they're actually decent most of the time and don't feel like cash grabs, unlike the other two) seem to have rushed plenty of stuff. The way they announced the Batman vs Supes movie was pretty damn sudden, and I have no doubt Spider-man 2 wasn't going to have this many characters from the start. Basically, they're just trying to keep up with the competition by sticking a shitload of comic book characters in the movies
Days Of Future Past doesnt seem like its trying to cash in on Avengers, its based of a pretty famous and influental X-Men story, and it was inevitably going to happen with the way the movies were going and with First Class. I'd say its just good timing.
best part of the new movies is that he actually is skinny like he should be not this burly dude [t]http://collider.com/uploads/imageGallery/Spiderman_3_Hi_Res/spiderman_3_movie_image_tobey_maguire.jpg[/t] but a skinny nerd [t]http://epdaily.tv/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/url-32.jpeg[/t]
Spider-Man was never drawn that skinny originally and in fact, I'd betting most original drawings from Ditko have webhead's physique more like Tobey than Andrew so not really "skinny like he should be". Andrew does look like a lot like the Ultimate version of Peter who was drawn smaller and skinnier than Earth 616's Peter.
This looks so much like it's trying to be Ultimate Spider-Man and Raimi's trilogy at the same time, and it's strange.

If anything, X-Men is more on Marvel's side of actual good ideas for movies rather than just "hey they did this, let's do it too"
Electro looks like Dr.Doom from that other failed Marvel series.
Electro looks like Dr.Doom from that other failed Marvel series.
Not really.

Shit like this movie, however, just seems too rushed to be comprehendable.

Also, The Avengers only had movies for Iron Man, Hulk, Cap, and Thor, Hawkeye was in Thor and Black Widow was in Iron Man 2.

Shit like this movie, however, just seems too rushed to be comprehendable.
Like the reason why you could easily work stuff in like the Sinister Six in comics is because they revolve around an 'arc' that could go on for a couple of months but y'know comics=/=movies. In one film, you got around 90 minutes and plus, you're also introducing villains that weren't established before. So you not only have to carry things that were established in the first movie, not only do you have to explore character arcs that were hinted/worked on before, not only do you have to make a couple of little origin stories for multiple villains but you also have to have Spider-Man fight these villains...in one movie. It sounds like a mess. Films are not comic books. Marvel was smart when it made movies for each separate major superhero and quite brave too because nearly all of the Phase 1 characters were B-list superheroes. But now, Iron Man and Thor are way more popular than they ever were before. I suppose DC tried doing that with Green Lantern but we all know how that turned out.

At the time, Jack Kirby's more bulky style was used as the basis for pretty much all Marvel comics, so seeing the clearly younger teenagers of Spider-Man set the book apart. Ah yeah but Ditko's also drew Spidey bulkier than the those scans as well. However Tobey's build was nowhere near as bulky as Kirby's standard superhero physique. I haven't seen elektro in years, he's made a big change lmao, I remember when he looked like this
so my brother (who hates Spider-Man 3 with a passion) pointed this out to me
truly the amazing spider-man
so my brother (who hates Spider-Man 3 with a passion) pointed this out to me
don't you dare compare Dane DeHaan to that

The costume is more simplified, and he has scars instead of the mask. Also he glows when powered up. [t]http://i.imgur.com/CsAbdh3.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/mjjQTGL.png[/t] [editline]5th December 2013[/editline] also was "The Amazing Spider-Man" worth a watch?
also was "The Amazing Spider-Man" worth a watch?
Frankly I thought it was a bit shit or mediocre. Watch the Raimi trilogy, or at least, 1 and 2 and then watch TASM. Opinions are really divided over which was 'the better one'.
andrew garfield still looks like a slim jim. he should really do something about that hair.
bring toby back
Looks great, not too sure about this scale though. First one was far more subdued and this is just craaazy.
Honestly i thought that The Amazing Spiderman was better than Raimi's Spiderman, i also prefer Andrew over Tobey. Idk, but i found Maguire's acting to be a bit forced [img_thumb]http://wac.450f.edgecastcdn.net/80450F/screencrush.com/files/2012/09/tobey-cry.jpg[/img_thumb] Seriously, just look at him. I have to admit that these CGI scenes look too hyperrealistic to feel true, and they are also a bit over-saturated, but we'll see in the actual movie.

Am I the ONLY ONE who liked Tobey better than Garfield?
