Remember when Jonathan [sp]Morris[/sp] defeated the evil vampire [sp]Dracula[/sp]
Oh man, that sounds genuinely really good. Is it actually using the SNES sound chip I wonder?
The more I listen to chase, the more I actually like it.
Bloody Stream and CNBT are still my favorites, but this one has started to grow on me.

The translated lyrics helped win me over, it's basically Josuke saying to[sp]Kira Yoshikage[/sp]"i'm going to chase you literally forever and beat your ass so hard you die"
You guys think we'll get a third OP when[sp]Kira becomes Kosaku Kira?[/sp]
I'm thinking about getting some of those Super Action Statues but (1) I'm used to spending $15-30 for action figures so the $50+ price tag is really giving me pause and (2) I don't know exactly what scale they are and I'm worried they'll look dumb if they're noticeably smaller than my other (~7") figures.
I almost pulled the trigger on a DIO & The World on ebay the other day, but I chickened out of it.

You're paying so much because most sites are price-gouging westerners. I get mine for $30-$40 though stock is often hard to come by. Also I measured them and they stand almost exactly 6 inches tall. Try Amiami, never trust Amazon or Ebay for imported stuff like this.

I have the SAS Part4 Jotaro and it's definitely one of the nicer figures I have - I'd love to pick up a Star Platinum to go with it when I have the money

Killer queen emblem/ necklace made out of solid brass, thinking about doing a gijinka KQ for a late night/rave outfit. It'd have a light-up mask and everything
Also finished 4taro’s dangerously sharp triangle piece, time to make his sun medallion
you'd make so much money selling stuff
Does SwapMagic let you play imported PS1 games? I'd rather pay $20-40 for it and HttF than the $100+ for the North American version.
finished part 6. Didn't like it quite as much as part 5 or 4 due to the setting but was still good. Major ending spoilers: [sp]I loved the joke about Rohan Kishibe being able to keep his mangaka schedule during the time acceleration[/sp]

Dude he just throws that ink at teh page its amazing.
And yeah, while i think part 5 is worse than 6, 6 is definitely one of the weaker ones. It has some great characters and fights though. Survivor may be my favorite stand.
I'm finally getting into Part 5, I wasn't really feeling it but the mirror and train chapters really sold me on it.
I still think Giorno is incredibly bland, he's like all the worst parts of Jonathan and Jotaro put together, and his Black Dynamite-esque "I must save the orphans from doin' smack!" motivation is a little weak. Plus it's kind of disappointing how there's almost no connection to previous chapters (2 featured Speedwagon and a Zeppeli, 3 had Joseph and Dio, 4 had Jotaro) since they sent Koichi away and Giorno's parentage is pretty much a non-factor. Now that I'm used to the gang I think they and their stands are pretty cool, though.

There is one or two links that you haven't seen yet.

Even still there's no hook. Like, it's interesting that Josuke is [sp]Joseph's illegitimate son[/sp] because it allows Jotaro to come into the story in a mentor role, teaching him about stands and staying in town to help them solve the mystery. So when the focus occasionally shifts to Josuke and Okuyasu fooling around it's fine because those are more of diversions or side-stories, plus there was a nice transition to ease us from Jotaro to Josuke (just like Joseph in Part 2).
But with Giorno there's no through-line, it's like "Giorno has the heritage of [sp]DIO and Jonathan[/sp] - and he wants to be a gangster to stop drugs from being sold." It would be like if Jotaro said "So, Josuke, turns out you're [sp]a Joestar[/sp]. Well, see ya" and then left.
Plus he has no characterization at all. I remember when I started reading JoJo and I liked Jonathan even if he was a little one-note in his pure-hearted gentlemanliness. But then Part 2 rolls around and Joseph comes in with personality in spades - exploding soda bottles, whipping out a tommy gun, hitting on chicks, blowing up a vampire with a dozen grenades - and that personality was what really sold me on JJBA. Even Jotaro, who was a little dry sometimes, won me over with his steely badassery. But Giorno? Nothing. I feel like he totally fails that Plinkett test ("describe the character WITHOUT saying what they look like, what kind of costume they wore, or what their profession or role was") because there's so little to his personality. Every other character in the gang has more personality than him.
Giorno is the worst jojo
He's got THE DETERMINATION OF HUMAN WILL and absolutely nothing else going for him

Don't forget he also wants to be a ~*"GANG-STAR"*~ [sp]which he achieves in the end, obviously.[/sp]
Anyone else that has the new jojo game, eyes of heaven. Know if theres any way of upping the difficulty. I tried a couple free play matches and the AI barely fights back.
Cool game though

When you select the AI character there should be an option at the bottom when you can customize them that'll change their difficulty.

Cool thanks, I'm having a better time with this one as its easier to pick up compared to all star battle. At least it is for people like me that are garbage at fighting games.

Because the translator fucked up. He supposedly has a personality in the original Japanese text
Because the translator fucked up. He supposedly has a personality in the original Japanese text
Thats not the only reason though. I still don't like him much. I actually get a lot of people telling me that i'm wrong for not personally liking Giorno.
Because the translator fucked up. He supposedly has a personality in the original Japanese text
giorno's face is so unemotive that i don't know how much a better translation could help
Because the translator fucked up. He supposedly has a personality in the original Japanese text
Aren't there new translations, though? I'm reading the new colored versions and he's still pretty blasé.
if there's anything I love about Giorno, it's the fact that he comes up with the most ridiculous plans with an absolutely straight face, [sp]'we need to steal 100 cars' is a classic panel, I don't care what people say[/sp]
also, [sp]Giorno fights are the best fights because it's just a contest to see what absolutely ridiculous power he's going to pull out of his ass next. Baby Face is a w/e stand, but the Baby Face fight is golden for the antics being pulled[/sp]
wasn't GioGio meant to be a jonathan with DIO's will? Like he wants to do a level of good but is totally willing to do whatever to get there

On topic of GioGio
