Shigechi: I didn't study or exercise, but my papa and mama said that they loved me the most out of all the people in the entire world! I'm glad I was born as their child! Josuke.. [sp]Please, catch Kira!![/sp] [sp]Even after his death, David has to get to my feelings. Poor shigechi[/sp]
you should probably tag spoilers, there's probably a bunch of people here who aren't up to date yet
My deepest apologies, guys. I was trying to get my post done before class started and I forgot to go in and put down spoiler tags. Sorry to anyone that happened to see anything!
you should probably tag spoilers, there's probably a bunch of people here who aren't up to date yet
you could also not then include said spoilers in the quote
you could also not then include said spoilers in the quote
i tagged the one straight up spoiler that wasn't tagged but i didn't do the rest since it doesn't spoil anything outright changed it now
oh my god i just binged the second half of the part 4 manga and holy shit the ending, i was nearly crying [sp]the josuke and kira fight is one of the best things ever[/sp]
I love all the fight scenes in the manga but I really have trouble determining how serious injuries are supposed to be. Sometimes a person can have a giant crater through their skull and then be fine! [editline]1st September 2016[/editline] although it is kind of telling that two Parts in a row feature a protagonist that can heal their allies
I wonder what's the exact range which Crazy Diamond can "fix" shit up. From the anime it seems he has to be at least decently close for it to work.
I wonder what's the exact range which Crazy Diamond can "fix" shit up. From the anime it seems he has to be at least decently close for it to work.
I thought it was contact at first, but i guess the same a Crazy Diamonds range? So about 2 meters from Josuke?
I like how in DiU, supporting characters can just get completely fucked up because in the next couple pages/scenes, Josuke will just fix them.
Josuke's healing powers do lead to one of the best lines in Part 4- [Sp]"There, you're healed- now its a fair fight, right?"[/sp]
I like how in DiU, supporting characters can just get completely fucked up because in the next couple pages/scenes, Josuke will just fix them.
I made note of that - in part 4 people get much more fucked up. [sp]The trend stays in part 5 since Giorno has a healing ability as well. It kinda dies down in part 6, but flares a bit again in part 7 thanks to zombie horse.[/sp]
So here's a question that's been puzzling me: are all the JoJos approximately the same muscular size, or are the newer ones actually smaller than the bulkier older folks? Like, when you compare a panel from part 3 with a panel from part 5 Jotaro is way bigger than Giorno, but when you compare panels or art drawn at the same time then there's almost no size difference...
I like how in DiU, supporting characters can just get completely fucked up because in the next couple pages/scenes, Josuke will just fix them.
I don't know, for me it seemed like Josuke's healing ability (and the subsequent "healing" characters in later parts, to a much greater extent) kill a lot of the tension in fight scenes, you don't really care what happens because you start to get used to seeing characters chopped to pieces, only to be fine and dandy in the next chapter. The lack of consequence in part 5 is a harsh contrast to part 3, where injuries left characters out of action for huge portions of the storyline. I think p4 uses it well but it was the start of the trend, somewhat

I mean hell, just look how different Josuke looks. Though that does make me wonder what characters like Giorno and Johnny would look like in part 1 and 2's styles.
While I can't find the specific piece Araki did, showcasing all the main JoJos in his modern style, have something close. [t]http://i.imgur.com/2yet5Ul.jpg[/t] The JoJo next to Giorno is Jonathan, I believe. So yeah, Giorno would probably be adult Jonathan levels of buff, while Johnny would have young Jonathan proportions if either was drawn in Part 1's artstyle.

I thought that was Joseph (because of the scarf) until I realized Old Joseph was there. I always like looking at Jonathan in Araki's new styles. I always though that he changed the most drastically in the transitions.
I think it's because Araki was heavily inspired by FotNS at the time, which is quite obvious. I can see why he likes drawing Jonathan in a new, unique way.
I also can't help but feel the whole "Whiny yet well meaning rich kid" vibe from the book version, which I think Araki wanted to portray Jonathan all the way back then- it's one of the reasons why Dio kicked the shit out of him, was because of this spoiled brat looking bastard. I'm probably misremembering things there, but either way I don't blame Araki for wanting to remake older Jojos in a newer style. (Though I must say, put a damn shirt on battle!Jonathan)

Could probably find a better picture if I tried harder. [editline]1st September 2016[/editline] I think this is suppose to be Jonathan. The headband is throwing me off and making me think it's Joseph again. [t]http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/jjba/images/9/98/Exhib1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20121129122036[/t]

Sucks since part 1 and 2 does not look right at all in the new style. Reminds me of how fucking weird Koichi looked in the early chapters. alien looking motherfucker

That's why I gave him a pilot's hat with goggles - sort of a steampunk or biker look." I will never forget Cabbage Patch Kid Koichi for as long as I live. [t]http://i.imgur.com/w4izL2X.jpg[/t] Edit: I finally realized what character it was reminding me of as well.
