Well High Voltage is already an arc and Requiems aren't upgrades of a pre-existing ability, you ever notice how [sp]Chariot Requiem never stabs anything?[/sp]
Do the arcs cancel out the use of stand names? And it's not like it'd be the first time a name was reused, a la Earth Wind and Fire (though it was changed). Also, [sp]I always thought that "Bite Za Dusto" was technically a Requiem stand, giving the user a new ability pertaining to the situation at hand (i.e. Kira wanting the people who know his name to keep silent), and thus I thought electromagnetism was closer in function to that. I'll keep working on it, though![/sp]

If a Stand gets stabbed with it the Stand will break apart and reform into a new Stand that operates based on the user's desires i;e Polnareff wanted to keep the Requiem Arrow away from Diavolo and Giorno wanted Diavolo destroyed. When the user has his desire fulfilled then the Requiem Stand dissipates (speculation here, as much as I wish PHF was canon it's not and it's heavily implied Giorno lost GER after fighting Diavolo). However, the regular Stand Arrow only works on people. If a non-Stand user gets stabbed with it they get a Stand and if a Stand user gets stabbed again they get an upgrade to their current abilities.[/sp] Don't worry though, there's a lot of confusion related to it and there's nothing wrong with not getting it.
I always thought a stand that could disrupt the link between a user and their own stand would be interesting. Like increase the time it takes for the stand to react to an order the user gives it.

Is there an alt-code/copy-paste resource for JP-quotes (when surrounding a Stand)?

I dunno why but I much prefer Heart Attack when he had the shrieking voice. I think it fits better. It emphasis the whole ''Crazy bomb out to destroy you" aspect. [sp]Also Kira's hand being pressured into the table. I think I laughed way more than I should have on that part [/sp]
Have you guys ever thought what would your stand look like and do if you had one? I keep coming up with ideas but they always end up being pretty broken, main antagonist level of broken :v:
Reach & Impact A mostly defensive type of stand that depends heavily on its user's relationships, ideals and perception of other people. Has two layers of defense: 1. Reach Prevents any attack from ever reaching the user, as long as the attacker's words are unable to reach the user('s heart). The Stand will go to absolutely any length to ensure the user's survival, bending time and space if necessary. Guns endlessly jam, misfire and miss every shot A person swinging at the user with their fist would suddenly find themselves 1 meter away from the user In more extreme situations, Reach & Impact alters the flow of time or causes a situation that unexpectedly kills the attacker. 2. Impact Prevents any attack from impacting/doing damage to the user, as long as the attacker's words are unable to have an impact on the user's state of mind. Bullets ricochet off the user, flames leave no burns, fists break and twist upon impact. But slowly damage builds up, making the surface of the user's body look like cracking glass. The build-up symbolizes the user's changing state of mind. Reach & Impact has one very big weakness - the user cannot control the effects of it whatsoever, and therefore cannot actively use it. The user's survival is ensured, but anybody around him could pay with their lives to make it happen. What counts as an attacker completely depends on the user's perception, including their subconsciousness. Naturally, due to this Stand, the user would be an outcast, their heart closed off from everything around them. But only people whose words reach and manage to impact the user have any chance. [editline]4th September 2016[/editline] damn I spent way too much time on this
I tried making my own stand once. I found out that I'm not really that creative and made a generic punchy stand with fire. :vs:
I would probably name my stand after one of my favorite songs like most of the protagonists from part 4. I always loved the names Crazy Diamond, Echoes and Killer Queen. kinda hard to figure it out what it would look like thought. Since it also boils down to the person's personality. A humanoid stand would my go to game thought.
Remember: the coolness and quality of a stand is directly proportional to how obscure, seemingly useless, and nonsensical the power is. A Stand whose power is to make sandwiches out of motor oil is way cooler than a Stand that shoots lasers beams and punches really hard. That being said, I've had an idea for one. It's a full body suit Stand that allows the user to adhere to a flat surface and travel at high speed, like Link from A Link Between Worlds. The smoothness and material of the surface affects the movement speed, and the user is able to drag others into this two-dimensional space, though doing so is highly disorienting for the other person.
i've had a lot of other stand ideas but R&I is definitely the one I put the most thought into as for its appearance a claw-like glowing hand that cuts off at the wrist/forearm part, seems to always 'stem' from its user as if connected to them by an invisible thread can split into multiple hands, if the situation calls for it
Oh, so we're doing Stands? Well, mine'd definitely be 「Collect Call」. With it, you can place ink "marks" on objects. The positions of any two "marked" objects can be swapped at any time, with each object retaining its individual momentum. By "marking" yourself and swapping your position with "marked" objects, you can get around quickly, confuse opponents, make a quick getaway, etc. And that's just the start of the tactical possibilities.
Aww i remember that one. As far as stand powers go one i thought of was the ability to build up acceleration and then apply it to an object. Simple but limitless tactical use. Name? Something with drive in it, or something sounding like drive, like Steel Driver.
「Muse」 Power: space condensing/expanding Like an optical illusion made reality, the user could go from hundreds of meters away to standing next to you in an instant, or making your punches take minutes or hours to reach them. I love OP/confusing powers like The World's or King Crimson's, but their range is barely a few meters, so I thought a high mobility/range stand would be interesting. Of course I'd be a villain. lol Potential uses: turning a 5 foot drop into a 5 story drop and throwing someone off. Locking them in a room and expanding the length so that they never reach the door. 'Scaling' the surroundings so that they effectively shrink. Lengthening limbs to such an extent that they can't defend themselves. Shrinking space around itself to hide. If I'm feeling particularly OP, I could claim that since time is linked to space, some time manipulation stuff could go down along with the main ability. Weaknesses: Requires line of sight for direct attacks. 'Shrinking' requires holding of breath. If an enemy stand is fast enough they could probably react to mine if I attacked close range. Keeping distance/preparation is its strengths. [editline]4th September 2016[/editline] Woops, just realised how similar this is to NotMeh's Reach. Promise I didn't copy you dude
So I had another go at making a stand. 「Slippery People」: The ability to make up to 3 perfect clones of myself. The clones wear whatever clothing I'm currently wearing, but don't spawn with objects that I have in my possession (weapons, anything in my pocket, etc.). The clones cannot speak but match my strength and stamina. Clones cannot go any further than 10 meters from the main body or they will be destroyed. Any damage done to clones is not done to me. However, the clones are not made of flesh. Instead they are a glass-like material. If you were to break a clones hand off, it would be more like a broken bottle than a actual torn limb, which in turn can be used as a makeshift weapon. I can also force the clones to violently shatter, shooting shards of glass in all directions. When a clone dies, the glassy remains will just fade away.
「Daft Punk」 Ability: using your light-stream as a barrier so long as you have an object that make lights. It has potential to use it as an unbreakable shield for around 25 meters and can last as long as the user wish. So no bullets, Star Platinum's punches or even explosives will break it.
Mine would be 「Mysterious Waves」(I can't for the life of me find a fitting name after a band or song, so here's a pun) It can adjust frequencies of objects. "So what?" you may ask. Immediately after, you may ask "What's that rumbling?" My stand adjusted the Public Announcement system in the building you're standing in to emit a sound. Specifically, it's emitting the resonant frequency of said building, causing the building to vibrate (By Araki science, it should work as well as (part 6 spoilers) [sp]using subliminal messages to convince everyone they're turning into snails[/sp]) You may also notice you're getting sick. That's because my stand adjusted the lights by increasing the frequency of the emitted light to gamma radiation levels. Enjoy your radiation poisoning. I can also use it to change stations on the radio.
「Space Oddity」 This Stand allows for the existence of a pocket dimension which can be accessed via entry/exit portals made by the Stand. This allows for high speed, long distance travel made possible by stepping inside of a portal and traveling through the dimension to exit out of another portal somewhere else in the real world. And it is instant since time outside of the pocket dimension passes slower. It has a great combat use, since you could throw a heavy object inside and make it build up momentum inside the dimension until you want and then open an exit portal to obliterate anything on its path. Another example of this would be to simply take advantage of existing force and open a portal under a falling object (ie: The top half of a colapsing building) and make an instantanious exit portal on top of the enemy. Another use, is to use the pocket dimension to safeguard important items or people (kind of like the turtle in part 5). The appearance of this Stand would be a musketeer that uses his rapier to create the portal, and he would be galaxy themed, like having the inside parte of his cape look like space.
If any of you guys have any cool ones to share I might be up for drawing them.
「Sunrise Angel」 [t]http://i.imgur.com/HSkHP88.png[/t] A long-distance stand, it's only ability is to increase the "power" of any light source. The destructive power of this stand has some serious potential, making lightbulbs burst into shrapnel or causing serious burns by empowering a shaft of light that's hitting somebody's exposed skin. Similar to 「The Sun」 but controllable and with more potential. Low power because it depends on active light sources, which means in a dark place with no lights it's kinda useless, same as if the only available source is those dumb little fairy lights some people have in their bedrooms, not a lot of power in those things even if they've been stand altered.
Have you guys ever thought what would your stand look like and do if you had one? I keep coming up with ideas but they always end up being pretty broken, main antagonist level of broken :v:
something I inevitably do, whenever I get into any sort of fandom or whatever, is start formulating ideas regarding the property so occasionally, whenever I'm on the bus, or in class, or doing work, or whatever, I start coming up with stand ideas the one I've put the most thought into is what I consider a 'protagonist' stand: 『•ALL• STAR』. 『All Star's』 main ability is to 『pause』 the perception of the victim. People of lesser mental fortitude (IE most non-Stand users) are essentially locked in place. Others are still conscious, but to them, it seems like time has been stopped. They can still walk around and (attempt to) interact with the environment, but they don't perceive any change in the environment past the moment of being hit with the ability. However, while they see everything as being locked in place, outside of their mind, everything goes on as normal. In order to keep this activated, the user has to keep full focus on the victim, and their perception of time starts to slow down as long as it is active. Later, 『All Star』 gains two more abilities, basically a mid-game ability and a late-game ability. The first is 『World's on Fire』, which allows the user to cause one of the victim's five basic senses to kick into overdrive. Eyes become far more sensitive to sunlight, unpleasant scents can stop the victim in their tracks, that sort of thing. The last ability is known as 『They Don't Stop Coming』, and it causes the victim to experience a short period of perception over and over in a loop. The idea behind this mostly sprouted from the idea of 'what if someone got ora ora'd over and over, hundreds and thousands of times'. This, like the first ability, is a purely mental thing, and if you were to experience a loop that happened thousands of times over the course of, like, a week or something, it in reality would have actually happened over the course of time it takes neurons to fire off. On your end, though, it feels like the whole week. [sp]I didn't realize I was basically copying Giorno's dropped ability until it was too late[/sp] I used to have a word document filled with my ideas, but alas, it died in a hard drive failure a few years ago. I'm kinda busy right now, but I'll probably make a post soon with a bunch more of my ideas.
If any of you guys have any cool ones to share I might be up for drawing them.
hopping on the [sp]speed[/sp]wagon Stand Name: Dance Hall Days Stand Ability: [Consumptive Biological Regeneration](http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Consumptive_Biological_Regeneration) Power - D Speed - C Range - D Durability - E Precision - A Potential - B Description: The power to regenerate any part of the body by devouring a similar part from a victim. Variation of Consumption Healing and Organic Regeneration. The user can regenerate any part of their body by devouring a similar part from a victim. In this manner, they can survive virtually any injury or even old age by replenishing their deteriorated body by feeding on humans and animals for replacement parts.

「SOLDIER'S POEM」 Destructive Power: D Speed: C Range: A Durability: C Precision: A Development Potential: B 「Soldier's Poem」 can write down the events of what is happening anywhere in the world. It can also write down what someone is thinking, however this takes longer. The stand's ability works faster depending on the complexity of what it's writing - for example, reading someone's mind takes much longer than writing what's happening in China while in Ireland, and writing that takes much longer than writing down what is within a kilometer's range of it, which would take a mere second. 「SOLDIER'S POEM REQUIEM」 Destructive Power: D Speed: A Range: A Durability: A Precision: A Development Potential: A 「Soldier's Poem Requiem」 acts much like 「Soldier's Poem」. However, in addition to it's normal abilities it can erase events and write down what's going to happen in the future, as well as losing it's range disadvantages, going as far as to be able to predict what someone in another universe is thinking in a mere second. --- The design of Soldier's Poem, I've always imagined as being in the part 5 style of semi-robotic looking stands, with a feminine figure ala Spice Girl. It'd have a brodie helmet that wasn't on it's head correctly (tilted at an angle) with a mesh covering the dome of it.
I made one for a hypothetical jojo rpg character once, her stand was 「HUMAN LEAGUE」. I'll just copy paste what I wrote there. I imagine it wouldn't really have an appearance, though Ebony Devil did despite controlling the doll so I dunno Stand Power: Crowd Creation – Josuru can create crowds of people that she subconsciously controls. The people appear seemingly out of nowhere, walking out from behind objects that block line of sight and appearing when onlookers blink or glance away, and appear like a normal assortment of people with little in common. While there is no real limit to how large a crowd Josuru can create, the more people she creates the harder it is to coordinate them and the less realistically they act when left alone. While she can’t control what kinds of people she creates, the larger a crowd the more likely someone useful will be in it. A swarm-type stand, the damage Josura takes when her stand is attacked is relative to how large a crowd she’s working with – with a crowd of ten people, injuring one would transmit 1/10th the injury to her, and so on. While physically no less durable than normal people, crowd members that are knocked unconscious release the portion of Human League that animated them, effectively dying. The corpses left behind are real human corpses, though all identification they carry is fictional nonsense and genetic analysis of them would show them to be related to nobody and to be part of no register or file anywhere in the world. While Josuru can control Human League’s crowd members directly, she can also leave them simple orders to follow. The larger the crowd, however, the simpler their orders must be to be followed correctly.
「The Regulator」 Has the ability to punch a person or object back to where and how it was somewhere in it's timeline within about 5 minutes depending on how hard it is punched. So if it punched fresh toast on a train, it would travel back down the tracks to where it was 5 minutes ago, have turned back to bread and would still be travelling however fast the train was going at the time. Alternatively, if it punched the train, everyone inside would fall onto the tracks and the train would now be heading towards them. It can fix damage to an object by sending it back to before it was broken but it can't put something back together if it's been shattered or taken apart. So it can mend a dented car but it can't unshatter a window. A person won't know they've been hit until they notice that they've lost time or see their surroundings change suddenly, from the victim's perspective they skipped forward in time but in reality their body has just reverted back to where they were. It can punch someone back to before they've been hurt but it can't fix a missing body part, it would just make the person forget they lost the part and from their perspective it will have just vanished for no reason. It also can't bring a corpse back to life, the body would move back to the position it was in before it died but it would still be dead.
