Hey guys, I'm planning to start reading the manga but I was wondering if I its fine to read where the anime left off or are there some bits that werent adapted and are worth reading?
I started with the anime and jumped into the manga before the anime ended. And it seemed to be a smooth transistion.

Just start reading part 4. The anime adapted every single panel and added more.

The anime is 1:1 so you haven't missed anything aside from Araki's art style. Just start reading Part 4 now like I'm doing.

I'd say 1:1.5
Remember this scene?

It seems like they added more scenes in part 3 than in part 2 and 1.
At least David Pro remembered Star Finger, Star Platinum's strongest move, while Araki forgot it existed.

Araki forgot it existed because it's a leftover from what SP was originally supposed to be
i remember hearing that SP was supposed to get the powers of the stands it fought, kind of like Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star, but it would've made him way too OP so Araki scrapped it
Honestly I just want English dub Dio to sound like Cumberbatch as Kahn. Hammy as shit, but with proper stage trained gravitas.
I just finished reading part 5 and the antagonist [sp]Diavolo[/sp] has just left me all

[sp]Like I don't get him at all. What are his motives? How the FUCK does his stand work? What the hell is Reqiuem? WHAT[/sp]

MAJOR PART 5 SPOILERS
[sp]Diavolo's motives are that he does not want his identity to be known, he wants all traces of it gone so that he can rule his gang anonymously. Which is also why he wants Trish dead[/sp]
To understand the power of [sp]「KING CRIMSON」just simply watch the Futurama episode Time keeps on slippin'. Also it just works.[/sp]
[sp]A requiem stand is basically a powered up version of a stand that one receives by stabbing their stand with the arrow[/sp]

[sp]just saying that it's a powered up version of a stand is misleading, since SCR has a power that is in no way related to his original power[/sp]

[sp]tbh I forgot SCR even existed :V[/sp]
I wish Vento had better translations...

in the totality of the first 3 parts there's like a total of 2 cut scenes in the anime compared to the manga

[sp]the only reason i remember that SCR exists is because his design is visually one of my favorite stand designs[/sp]
back when i read part 5 there was a group that had re-translated a couple of the early chapters and were making their way through the whole part
though i haven't checked, they've probably made a fair way into VA by now
SCR is probably one of the most unexploited good concepts of jojo and it makes me really sad

You mean JojoProject?
Last I heard they pretty much disappeared off the face of the planet.
I know Jojo's Colored Adventure is slowly re-translating VA. IIRC they finished the arc where we find out what Sex Pistols does.
After reading a bit of part 4, Josuke's pretty cool if not a bit more quick tempered than Joseph
[sp]Also, I'm very, very disappointed in Joseph.[/sp]
So are there any plans to animate part 4 and onwards? As much as I love the Jojo universe so far I can't read the mangas, I need to see it animated and voiced or it just doesn't flow with me.

no confirmations yet, part 3 anime was confirmed about 6 months after parts 1 and 2 ended

[sp]people who know ripple age slower than people who don't, so by the time Suzie Q stopped having a sex drive, Joseph was still going full speed, so he's got a couple decades of nuts that need busting and then some hot young lady comes to him asking for sex
it's still a dick move, but it's understandable[/sp]
Started reading Part 4 now that Part 3 anime finished and it's just as good as everyone says.
Also, I accidentally got some spoilers for a character later on in part 5 and [sp]I'm super let down about what happens to Polnareff.[/sp]

I still can't believe it. [sp]A fucking tortoise guys.[/sp]
Also, i never got how so many people don't understand King Crimson. Like, its not that complex.

KC seems to be fairly easily understandable until you get the real headscratchers like [sp]the bullets going through Diavolo[/sp] and [sp]Narancia's death[/sp]
overall, It just works.
does anyone have this picture of king crimson smashing a keyboard and saying "HOW DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND HOW I WORK, I EXPLAIN IT TO THEM POST AFTER POST AND THEY DONT GET IT" or something similar

Well[sp]Diavolo can control everything that occurs between point A (activation) and B (deactivation) - I speculate that the user will continue doing any action they began going into point A (e.g. Sticky fingers throwing a punch at the boss) but no further action after that between A and B, and the user doesn't recall what happened between A and B either (Buccellati still has his stand's arm extended after B in one scene, and a cat walks across Giorno's lap but he doesn't remember it doing so). The bullets were already in motion once Diavolo activated his stand for Doppio against Nero (the action had already taken place before A), so within Diavolo's 'world' between A and B, "everything disappears" and "only the results remain" - him deciding that the bullets should not exist for 0.5 of a second to make them not hit him. You can see it[/sp] in this panel [sp]The bullet trails disappear behind and reappear in front of him. As for Narancia's death (In Giorno's body) my best guess is either that Diavolo erased the bars and reappeared them once he got Narancia in the right place (a few seconds of Diavolo-time had passed, he probably had the time to throw Narancia up there with his physically strong stand) or he just straight up forcibly rammed Narancia onto the pipes and Araki's art doesn't account for how this was achieved
Either way I think this makes his stand more threatening than Dio's, since Dio was still vulnerable (or at least wary) of the ripple in frozen time as well as being attacked by Jotaro with the same stand power, while Diavolo has control over everything [/sp]

I was under the impression that King Crimson was a combination of being somewhat confusing made much worse due to having poorly translated scans.

if that's so, then why [sp]can't diavolo just punch and kill polnareff during the crimson time? if he can just kill narancia as easily as that during the time erasal, then why can't he kill everyone like that? if Diavolo had absolute control in his time erasal, why is a single person still alive?[/sp]
I was under the impression that King Crimson was a combination of being somewhat confusing made much worse due to having poorly translated scans.
king crimson is somewhat complicated but the main reasons why people dont understand him is poor scans on top of very messy fights that you can't really understand if not animated
if that's so, then why [sp]can't diavolo just punch and kill polnareff during the crimson time? if he can just kill narancia as easily as that during the time erasal, then why can't he kill everyone like that? if Diavolo had absolute control in his time erasal, why is a single person still alive?[/sp]
Stand range I guess. Which page?[sp]He doesn't take on the entire group after they back up Buccaletti after their first confrontation, which suggests he has high physical power but can only activate KC for a short time after which he is exposed (he keeps using the power to stay in the shadows and attack indirectly rather than move into the open) It corresponds with his character trying to protect his identity. When he kills Narancia he is possessing Trish I think, meaning he's right on top of them and can remain concealed even using his power
The scene where he's possessing Trish and they are running towards SCR, he panics because Giorno tells everyone to stop and move away from one another, suggesting he needs Trish close to SCR to be able to reach it. He does manage to attack Giorno from Trish's body though, so his range is likely only a few meters[/sp]
