Why can Dio and Jotaro fly?
Dramatic effect. All of the ridiculous shit in the Part 3 finale is just for extra excitement. Jotaro[sp]flying through a building after getting assblasted by DIO would logically kill him but he stands back up later just fine.[/sp]
I'm willing to bet he didn't use most of his vampire powers because [sp]why bother with ice or lasers when you can stop time.[/sp] Josephs use of the ripple is limited to overdrive punches and infusing it into hermit purple, both of which wouldn't work against someone as powerful as DIO. Silver Chariot didn't do that stuff because [sp]he was basically incapacitated as soon as he entered the fight.[/sp] Flying I dunno you've got me there. An army of vampires would be pretty useless against the crusaders as demonstrated by Nukesaku. And I'm guessing [sp]He wasn't able to regenerate because his head got blown up too, which is how you properly kill a vampire in Jojoland.[/sp] Don't know how we are on spoilers but I did it just to be safe.
I reckon[sp]the ice requires physical contact, but why even bother risking getting close when you have a stand. The STINGY SPACE RIPPA beams are purely physical, they're fast but probably not faster than star platinum and could probably be blocked. Either way he could have just lost his offensive vampire powers in return for Jonathan's stand power as he integrated with Jonathan's body. Either that or Araki just wanted to portray new powers rather than old ones Joseph did use the ripple throughout the battle to supplement his stand attacks and set up a defensive barrier, which is why Dio was reluctant to even touch Joseph even with The World. About using his stand 'properly' - I like to think the protags and Dio readied their spirits before the final battle and were able to use their stands to their fullest extent in the presence of their ultimate enemy hence the auras. Dio might be a vampire but The World is just a normal stand, like Star Platinum. The World was able to be destroyed and override Dio's regenerating ability I suppose[/sp]

Plus the first rule of anime fights is that blunt damage might as well be no damage. In your average anime being punched through a wall won't do anything, but something sharp will do serious damage by the simple logic of cuts being visible damage while you can handwave blunt damage.
Bullshit, Dio is perfectly normal as far as vampires go. He [sp]refused to even touch Joseph when he was covered in the Hermit Purple Ripple shield, and HERMIT PURPLE AND HAMON didn't actually reach Dio before he cut it off.[/sp] If Joseph was able to channel a full-strength Overdrive into Dio he'd be just as dead as any other vampire. The assumption that part 3 Dio can ignore the Ripple makes his fight with Joseph make no sense. The whole point of the Ripple in part 1 is that if you can get a solid hit in, they're done. The hard part is actually touching them.
Why did Dio [sp]not easily regenerate after being blown in half? Well, you can put that down to Stand shenanigans perhaps.[/sp]
Remember in the very beginning of Part 1 [sp]when Jonathan smashed Dio so hard it took him awhile and a lot of bodies to regnerate?[/sp] Same basic principle.
I think it's more that simply being a Jojo character allows you to survive horrific damage and recover in minimal time. In Part 7 alone [sp]Johnny is shot multiple times, even in the face. Gyro has his leg ripped off and it's healed, albeit with magic bullshit.[/sp]In Part 8[sp]Josuke receives needles directly in the eyes and recovers immediately with no lasting damage.[/sp]
Whenever fightcade works, I'm having a blast playing (read: losing in) HftF. Too bad there's not too many people playing it, at least ones that I could play against.

part 5 spoilers: [sp]*sweating french turtle* Where did the stand/soul of the turtle go?[/sp]
part 5 spoilers: [sp]*sweating french turtle* Where did the stand/soul of the turtle go?[/sp]
I'm assuming into what was left of [sp]polnareff[/sp], no matter how long it survived afterwards.
are these still funny
Holy fuck those legs.
[unpopular opinion] I'm waiting for the anime because half the appeal of JJBA for me was the sound design.
I'm waiting for the anime because I can't read. :(
I'm waiting for the anime because I can't read. :(
What about subtitles?
I'm waiting for the manga, goddamnit Jojolion hurry up.
Just finished Part 4. I didn't realise they stuck the [sp]Mona Lisa[/sp] panel right at the end of the last showdown.
im waiting for the anime because characters like kars & dio are much better with voice acting [editline]11th July 2015[/editline] honestly cant wait for kira's seiyuu
[sp]i hope they cast david bowie as kira[/sp]
I hope they keep his VA from ASB he sounded pretty good as Kira
I hope they keep his VA from ASB he sounded pretty good as Kira
pretty sure they're keeping 90% of the ASB seiyuus
One day late but whatever
They really should have added "Get Back" at that ending sequence.
They really should have added "Get Back" at that ending sequence.
if you want the rest of the show to be a slideshow because of using all of the budget for a single song, then sure
They really should have added "Get Back" at that ending sequence.
They could have at least used Last Train Home.
They really should have added "Get Back" at that ending sequence.
they cant
They really should have added "Get Back" at that ending sequence.
Dude it costs a shit ton lf money to license a Beatles song
Finished part 6, the ending was already spoiled to me but I still enjoyed it. I liked it more than part 5 but it might just be because of better scans and full color. The stands were extra weird. What the fuck was up with [sp]Heavy Weather's snails? What does that have to do with anything?[/sp]
[sp]Heavy Weather's snails? What does that have to do with anything?[/sp]
Araki finds a way to make the most bullshit-sounding stuff convincing [sp]Subliminal image snails, those wierd ass Rods, Zombie horses that can heal wounds, etc.[/sp]
