Reading the Steins;Gate Visual Novel and the number of Jojo quotes and references is crazy.
Reading the Steins;Gate Visual Novel and the number of Jojo quotes and references is crazy.
Doesn't everything have JoJo quotes and references?

Kira, Fatty, and Akira from Part 4 got added to the EoH roster http://gematsu.com/2015/07/jojos-bizarre-adventure-eyes-heaven-adds-shigekiyo-akira-yoshikage
Reading the Steins;Gate Visual Novel and the number of Jojo quotes and references is crazy.
welcome to japanese media in general [editline]18th July 2015[/editline]
Yes.
that list is far from complete
Anyone else think a Jojo game developed by Platinum would be really awesome? It seems right up their alley...
That'd be kickin' rad, but outside of Phantom Blood, there wouldn't be a whole lot of mooks to beat the crap out of in Battle Tendency or Stardust Crusaders (I know there are like, 5 others, but I haven't gotten that far) that was plentiful in all Platinum games. It'd pretty much be limited to a series of boss battles at that point.
Anyone else think a Jojo game developed by Platinum would be really awesome? It seems right up their alley...
honestly the jojo fights would be more akin to puzzle games than to platinum style character action
Doesn't everything have JoJo quotes and references?
Found this in Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth: You need a Stand for that?
Anyone else think a Jojo game developed by Platinum would be really awesome? It seems right up their alley...
I'm not sure there are many situations where you can say "action game based on x thing made by platinum" would not result in an automatically good game. The real Jojo experience is pretty much turn-based puzzle action anyway. Fighting a Stand is too esoteric and broad to be done properly in a game without restricting Stand powers or a heavily rigid adventure game format.
I just finished watching part 3 recently [sp]when the opening cinematic changed to ZA WARUDO it literally made me yell a bit, it gives me the chills[/sp]

apparently the "what's in an op" dude came through a week ago and finished his jojo analysis and none of you all posted about it this will be somewhat helpful to people not familiar with the manga
he's saying jotarro this bothers me greatly
he's saying jotarro this bothers me greatly
you know who else pronounces it this way?

"You can control this evil spirit?" "Yes, you can control this evil spirit." I don't remember this dub being that bad for some reason.
Part 6 spoilers kinda
jolyne's mother explained I knew jotaro didn't get in a relationship that just doesn't fit him
So, I'm reading through Part 4 atm. (spoilers for anime-only people) [sp]Do you guys think Mikitaka was actually an alien like he says, or just some weirdo?[/sp]
[sp]I wouldn't doubt that he's from another planet. The Stand Arrow bounced right off him and according to him he can't see Stands which is unusual if he is just a human with a Stand.[/sp]
[sp]Oh come on he's just fuckin with everyone[/sp]

On one hand, he does have a Stand named Earth, Wind, and Fire but on the other, he claims that he cannot see other people's Stands. I personally think he's an alien, no actual human being breaks out into crazy hives from hearing a police/fire/ambulence siren. [/sp]

I'm still on part 6 but I sort of know what happens later on, could you pls explain how part 8 is supposed to tie in at all?
I'm still on part 6 but I sort of know what happens later on, could you pls explain how part 8 is supposed to tie in at all?
I can't explain Part 7 or 8 properly without spoiling the climax of 6. Once you've finished reading 6, and began reading 7, you'll pick up what's going on.

Once you've finished reading 6, and began reading 7, you'll pick up what's going on.
[sp]The SBR-verse is entirely separate from and unrelated to the 1-6 Universe/Ireneverse. Pucci's plan and it's execution is one of the most misinterpreted parts of JoJo (though it's easy to understand why it's often misunderstood, it's confusingly written), probably even more than King Crimson and how it works. [/sp] [sp]The whole point of MiH was to give the world the supposed 「Peace of Mind」 of knowing their destiny. With the Universe Reset history repeats itself (literally). Anyone alive would know their future, and be unable to deviate from it. That doesn't really work if everyone's dead with the old universe, so MiH takes every living thing from the old universe, and moves it over into the new one, where they know their future. This is a big part of why MiH's time acceleration doesn't effect living things. However, whoever MiH/Pucci personally kills (Jotaro, Jolyne, and the others) doesn't get moved over, and are gone forever. When Emporio kills Pucci with Weather Report's stand, everything is somehow (more or less) reverted? I'm... not entirely sure how or why this happens, it's not really explained at all. Jotaro and the others are still dead, but the second Universe Reset creates alternate counterparts (free of Pucci's influence) since the originals have ceased to exist. I feel like it ties into how F.F. said that if she was recreated it wouldn't quite be the same her. That said, like Emporio, everyone else from the old universe (The crews from Parts 4 and 5) and all people and events who died before Pucci's time acceleration shenanigans began presumably remain unchanged.[/sp] [sp]Part 7 is how it is because in Araki's eyes he did what he wanted to do with the original universe and he wanted to try something new/start again. It doesn't tie into the original at all outside of it being an separate alternate universe.[/sp]
