Just a quick question, how did Jotaro obtain all the stuff he had in the prison cell when we first meet him? Like, his stand can't go that far from himself.
Because Araki didn't invent stand range yet :v: Unless [sp] he was unwittingly za warudoing in and out of the prison[/sp]
[sp]Rohan is an asshole and doesn't want to take help from Josuke[/sp]
[sp]Rohan also may have the most openly broken stand in the entire series, yet he's too stupid to realize that it allows him to make other people do LITERALLY ANYTHING HE WANTS THEM TO[/sp]
cuz he just wants to art, that's all he cares about. That's his life. I get it.
It's a shame, I'd love a scene of the gang trying to produce a makeshift puppet for Kakyoin to throw off a powerful stand user. Just imagine them tying a bundle of sticks with shoelaces or some shit like that, it'd have been brilliant.
Is Kakyoin's one time use ability to cut someone through a drawing ever explained?
Is Kakyoin's one time use ability to cut someone through a drawing ever explained?
He likely sniped Jotaro with Hierophant, it's a medium/long range stand with ranged capabilities right?
He likely sniped Jotaro with Hierophant, it's a medium/long range stand with ranged capabilities right?
I think it's about 20 metres, plus he has ranged attacks and tentacles
I think it's about 20 metres, plus he has ranged attacks and tentacles
Come to think of it, Hierophant could have started out as a body control stand which was quickly retconned - that would explain Jotaro's knee being cut out of nowhere, the nurse who is controlled and tries to stab him with the pen and the fact kakyoin is holding a toy puppet when he fights Jotaro, if I recall all that correctly
Both Kakyoin and Polnareff's retconned abilities were manifested under DIO's influence. Araki could have said that the flesh bud gave them sinister energy, I dunno. It's a sea of wasted opportunities, I don't think anyone cared about that fifty years ago.

Also, he kinda uses that attack later against D13, (just in a dream)
I think Kakyoin avoids body control because he doesn't want to take someone's free will, much like DIO did to him. Just a thought.
I think Kakyoin avoids body control because he doesn't want to take someone's free will, much like DIO did to him. Just a thought.
Well, that, and who would he control? If controlling an enemy stand user were that easy, he'd do it. So he probably can't. Meaning he can probably only control normal people and probably only one at a time.
How does he actually control people, though? Could he control an inanimate object, e.g. a manikin? [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline] Also, how is it that Stands can touch/hurt physical people and objects, but only a stand can touch/hurt another stand?

Sort of his original deal that Araki put away in favor of long-range attacks and whatnot. And that's just how it's always been, stands are sort of a physical manifestation of fighting spirit, allowing them to both be tangible and intangible at the same time. Perhaps those without enough spirit (IE, regular jaggoffs) are simply not strong enough to touch a stand.

In particular, Polnareff with Death 13. Death 13 was choking Polnareff, but when Polnareff tried punching and kicking him away the baby/Death 13 said "you idiot only a stand can attack a stand" or something along those lines. You could chalk that up to being in a dream but I dunno.

Probably by extending tendrils through the body, possibly wrapping them around part of the brain to bring around a kind of semi unconscious state as seen with the nurse. 2. Ghost rules. The outward force of a stands power can hit anything, but people can't interact with them. I'll assume when SP punches the fists aren't doing the damage but the outward force of the punches. Alternatively magic

He changes his mind so much that near the end of Part 7 he felt the need to write an entire minichapter explaining how stands work.

I really hope we can use different teams than the default ones on the demo. I WANT A DIO AND JOTARO TAG TEAM DAMN IT
I really hope we can use different teams than the default ones on the demo. I WANT A DIO AND JOTARO TAG TEAM DAMN IT
Seeing as they said "make your dream team" or some shit like that, yeah probably

Araki sure has come a long way. I still wonder how he even got his early stuff published.

His redesigns of Joseph and Johnathan are so weird in his new style. Also, I saw the preview clips of the Stardust Crusaders dub, they're noooot great.

i got phantom blood volume 2 in the mail today zeppeli is the only cover illustration that doesn't look really bad so far, even considering dio on the cover of volume 3 and joseph on the cover of battle tendency zeppeli actually looks pretty good i took a picture of the art on the back: [t]http://pikablu.info/misc/images/2015/04/24/0424151514-00.jpg[/t]

I thought that was Sandman, Araki really went full on [del]weird[/del] fabulous with the new redesigns
Not a fan of the re-designs for Part 1. They look too vibrant and taking the dark grittiness away from Phantom Blood basically removes the best part about it. EDIT: Oh god I just saw the re-design for D'Arby The Gambler...
I wonder what the re-design of the Pillar Men looks like.
