So... I think I'm pretty sold on looking for something RWD this summer, and I was wondering what you guys would suggest? I talked to someone the other day that got my pretty convinced an E30 would be a decent choice. They are pretty cheap around here, and I was worried about price of parts but he said his first car was an E30 (He now drives an E36) and that they are fairly cheap to fix and are also reliable.
I'd love a 240SX but they are just too popular here. My sister's friend blew one up while drifting it and bought two more. Fucking rich kids.
need some advice guys
was driving around in town, SUDDENLY my throttle starts to act weird:
It just doesn't respond at all, i give it the pedal and it feels like it's limited to like 2500 or 3000 RPM then it just stops, I have no power
I tried to open the hood and use the throttle manually, same problem. Then i gave it some choke, and it died
what's going on?

Went to wal-mart and grabbed a couple cheap quarts of 5w30 to change my tranny oil later. Also got food.

Tomorrow is the day. The day that I ask a girl to prom. Get some bitches!

Get a 240SX like me. Pennies for repairs and it has the capacity to be upgraded to a beast later on. I'd get a 240 over the E30 just for the fact the E30 scares me how small it looks. Deathbox feeling when I drove my friend's E30.
My 240 is over 22 years old now and the only basic repair I have to do to it is an intake hose replacement, clutch, coils and some interior stuff. But what car that old doesn't need parts replacements? Don't let popularity sway you; if anything that's a good thing because you can make friends. I have a couple of friends who have 240sx gangs of their own and they help me out where to get good deals on parts/repairs

I was going to go, but Friday when we were eating lunch her mom called and said they had to go to a Wedding on the 10th in Virginia. :C
put in my new sway bar links, went on adventure
Cr-v tagged along.

Never had that problem with mine, sounds like fuel issues?
I checked the Haynes, it says it could be distributor issues, spark plugs, or fuel injection system.

Check your ignition coil, spark plug wires and spark plug. If you haven't replaced then in a while then one of them could be bad, also if its a carb try cleaning it out. They get clogged over time and last check the fuel filter.
Who's ca5bah?

He used to be a regular here, am I correct?
What's your guys opinions on iridium plugs? Probably gonna get a pair for my bike. Not expecting any power gain (the bike only makes ~50 hp anyway), but I've heard they resist corrosion better and last longer.

I love it.
Can someone explain why some vehicles track crooked? If I'm behind a van or truck, I'll usually notice it looks like this:

and I wonder what causes it? Constant torque? Frame designed that way?

chassis flex.
maybe small accident can give deflection in the chassis.
Or it is a bad design, which is comon (never heard of the ranger lean?).
It is not a feature ;)
edit: I think a quite bad alignment can give that (ex, left rear having positive toe while the rear right have negative toe)
Is the effect that pronounced? I never see that.
mom drove it at one point
mom drove it at one point
Could be like the guy I was behind on the highway.
Traffic was bad and every time we'd brake he'd swerve like a motherfucker when he had plenty of room to brake.
Also, my mom's gotten pissy about me wanting a car now, saying "I should save my money." I have upwards eight thousand fucking dollars for a car. I just need something to get me through college, surely $8,000 is enough for that.
you could spend half on a civic or whatever and pocket the rest for repairs/fuel/other shit
i guess that's her point, she wants you to build a tyte doriftu machine
yeah i know even for $4-5000 I could get something pretty respectable with ~100,00mi on it
Depending on what I buy that will probably last through college and then some and I can spend the rest on hookers to bang in the car
get a ES300, they are cheap, reliable like a camry, got a bit of power.
Save the rest for college.
I know it's nice having a rwd cool and powerful car but the bank account will go down and stay down (TRUST ME ON THATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT)
and if i get a nicer sporty car
insurance. nuff said
19 y/o male driving a sports car. insurance gonna love that

on a truck worn leafs that bowed, or the center pin is not in the hole, worn bushings can also do that
suv bent link bar,
car wreck?

I see it all the time on work vans and pickups. Usually looks like the rear is a good few inches off to the right side (always seems to be the right).
