Well, good luck. I'm about to FINALLY finish my boost project on the Civic, putting the cylinder head on tomorrow, putting new CV shaft in today, Sunday I'm pulling the motor for new flywheel/clutch/PP, and pulling front end apart for charge piping. I hope you go 2JZ. It won't be cheap but it'll be awesome. I know it. My ultimate plan is to eventually go 4G63T with my Civic, but I need to find me a FWD 4G63 Eclipse for everything I need (Motor, transaxle, shifter and linkage). I can't seem to find one cheap. I wouldn't even need a clean one, a totalled one would be fine. Someday. Hopefully.
I have 6 days of school left, fuck can it just be over? It's really hard work sleeping in all of my classes
Just bought a roof rack for my car. Now to just get a roof box. I must be the only 20 year old that owns a family car/MPV with a roof box :v: Next stop... Emmen!

I would do that but I need to carry multiple bags and things, waterproofed. :o Love the car, By the way. - Makes me sorta miss the 740 Estate we had. Thirsty bugger though.

PM me for price and details. Selling my good engine too

[editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] Speed bump? Sounds like fulcrum to me!
My car isn't even lowered and the muffler scrapes on the speed bumps here. :C It's not all that bad though. I saw a limo try to go over the massive speedbump at the McDonalds here and the thing scraped the ENTIRE way. BADLY. I wish I could of seen the driver's face. He should of realized that taking a limo over that massive speed-bump was a dumb idea. Edit: What do you guys think? Some guy might want to trade this for my '93 Prelude http://nanaimo.en.craigslist.ca/cto/2987711827.html I'm wary, but I'm willing to atleast meet with the guy and see what he wants. He says he needs to get a car that doesn't get so much attention from the police, which is completely understandable. My friend gets pulled over every night his car is on the road, and he doesn't even do anything wrong.
My drive way sucks dick cause its angled so steep that any weight in older cars it will scrape. Any newer cars it will scrape. Just so the sidewalk is flat with the rest of the street.
Tukimoshi, that's a nice RX7 but think of the costs. High mileage car, repairs and maintenance; lotsa damage like door lock and side panel. My 240 is pretty cheap in parts but it still cost me a grand and more to fix, what more a rotary? If you can go through with money I'd say that's a good deal to trade a lude for a braap

As long as the body is in good condition, it should be pretty good as the engine looks healthy, and I can replace the lock. Fuel Economy would be pretty bad in that thing though. I guess I'm really stuck between whether this RX7 is worth it, or whether I should just hold out until I can get a 240
I wish I had $2000 right now. :( '78 Concord AMX on Craigslist those rims, man those rimmmss
If you don't have to spend any money on the trade and it's as simple as giving your Prelude, I'd say go for it. Make sure you do your research first and see if he isn't trying to give away his lemon. The engine doesnt look like it's been abused, but its hard to tell from just looks Also:

I've never had bad luck with Honda stuff, I always have spares though. I have a D16Z6 block kicking around if I punch a hole in this D16A6 one. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] Also tried to flip turbo around and keep full size rad: It ended up hitting the entire side of the cold side I trimmed and trimmed the Z6 block for a mockup but it just wouldn't go. So I shelled out some money and bought an aluminum half rad and some other bits as well. I may as well go a little big if I'm going through this trouble :v:
Might have found myself a 2jzgte from those nasty jdm fuckers (they're all stealing scum around here) for 1200$ add 350 for the correct bellhousing 150 for the correct flywheel add 150 for the correct motor mount 200 for a IC. and then I got to find piping for the intercooler and make a decend downpipe... well, calling my old job tomorrow and gonna ask if they still have room for me NOW (even if it was booring as fuck)... I need dah money
Also, why not go 1JZ? I'd think 1JZ engines are a little cheaper to come by and they're not terrible at all. And they pretty much require all the 2JZ stuff you'd buy anyways, I think if you could save on the engine a little I would. Hell, 1JZ's aren't even that much lesser of an engine, they only flow slightly less (Stock 2JZ head flows ~238in/154ex at .400, 1JZ head flows ~215in/133ex with identical lift) and despite it being .5 liters less in displacement they still put out tons of ponies and hold boost well (Hell, they're a Toyota JZ block). In most cases, 1JZ costs half of what a 2JZ costs. *shrug* That's the way I'd go if I could find a cheap 1JZ. ...dude put a 4age in it lolo

Most 1jz are vvti (vvti version of JayZee engine are weaker) because the non-vvti are still in jza70 driving around the world. Also the head flow more on the 2j (like you said), the cam are more aggressive, the .5L make a difference, lots of aftermarkets replacement for the 2jz (a shit ton more manifold and shit, trust me on that). more importantly, If I keep it stock for this year (budget yo), the ct20 are way bigger than the ct12. a BPU+ on a 1jzgte with stock twins will net you 300rwhp (been documented and saw it on a bunch of car around here), while a bpu+ on stock twins on a 2jz will net you 390rwhp. I'm willing to pay 300$ less for the engine to have 90rwhp more in the end ;) I have been around mk3 supras for a while, I know what Jz swap involve, dont worry
I know you know what they involve. Wasn't knocking you. I was just saying, a 1JZ pretty much anywhere in the world besides where you live apparently is about half the cost of a 2JZ. 2JZ is definitely the way to go for power, but meh.

so why do you faggots have giant boners over rotaries, they're literally the worst engines. (User was banned for this post ("Dumb trolling." - postal))
so why do you faggots have giant boners over rotaries, they're literally the worst engines.
They have their own set of advantages and disadvantages like any engine. Its up to the driver to choose what style best compliments their driving technique. No style of engine is truly bad, only some instances of it are. I personally do not prefer rotaries but their definitely a force to be reckoned with and most certainly shouldn't be sold short. -edit- Rotaries have a high power per liter, fewer moving parts and they typically sit in the higher rpm ranges. However they burn gas and oil at an alarming rate, have critically low torque, suffer at cold starts way worse than a normal piston engine, and the parts for them are very expensive.
Honestly, not really. They're underpowered, inefficient and sound like vacuum cleaners. It's the Mac of the engine world. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] Justin1992 in a nutshell http://www.kirotv.com/news/news/crime-law/puyallup-man-punched-coma-after-comment-about-car-/nNPq3/
Honestly, not really. They're underpowered, inefficient and sound like vacuum cleaners. It's the Mac of the engine world.
I agree, this is why I prefer piston engines. However, the fewer moving parts should reduce mechanical stress, its tendency to stay in the high rpm ranges should definitely suit some drivers.
Gas goes in, Apex seals go out. :3
I don't see why you guys are being such dicks to justin, he's just defending himself and his car just like any of you would do.
Well this thread is going to shit Everyone stop bitching at each other and chill the fuck out
It's just mightymax, he's been in ultimate troll mode for the last few days.
