Might have saved them a few cents or something because they only made buttons with both CD and Aux on them instead of separate ones for cars with one or the other. But honestly, it's ridiculous how few cars I've been in have actual Aux inputs. I mean, my car is 22 years old and has one.
Help guys. My dad's planning to trade in his 4-cyl Mazda wagon work machine for one of those new dumb Toyota Prius V's. He lugs medical supplies across the span of three cities for his patients so he wants cargo space. But at the same time, the capacity of at least 5 people. His argument is fuel economy. My argument is which is less shitty. Know any cars to show him? Showing him the 4WD Toyota Highlander might be the better choice for a hybrid considering the awfully similar price range. Honda Insight?

Chances are if you pressure him into another car, he's just going to hate that one.
A friend and I put installed an iSimple IS32 into my car yesterday. It's easy to install and only cost me about $30 on ebay. It's cheaper than an aftermarket radio if all you want to do is play your MP3 player in your car.
Thanks a bunch.
"Lets put an AUX function on our radio, people would love that!" IF I HAD AN AUX PORT IN THE FUCKING CAR. SERIOUSLY. WHO. DOES. THIS.
A car I rode in a while back had the aux port as far inside the glovebox as possible. Took me ages to find it.
"Lets put an AUX function on our radio, people would love that!" Never did figure out how to actually use the fucking thing.
yep our 98,99,98 accord, grand prix, camry have no aux. What the fuck
The hell car do you have?
Subaru Legacy.
Mmm late 90s GM interior
I though about taking a aux cord to the glovebox from my head unit aux plug since it's in the back but then I realized i have literally no use for it [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] because USB exists
Thanks a bunch.
Sorry, I typed that on my phone. The cheaper version is the IS31. The 32 has USB charging (Which I do through a $2 adapter) and what appears to be a fancy faceplate.
I love discovering my car's history :v: The history of the Beetle itself, not my actual Beetle of course
Just bought a replacement mirror for $30 off ebay since my driver's mirror decided to fuck-up and melt.
Rubber air cleaner intake hose supposedly to arrive tomorrow. Maybe I can do a cone filter upgrade when I have some cash lying about. 240SX is pretty much complete in terms of running maintenance. Belts, water pump, hoses, radiator, coolant, oil, gear oil, clutch, head gasket, some bolts. Just need further reinforcements later like, spark plugs, rotors, calipers, brake pads and tuning. Cosmetic stuff won't hurt either
Since the goddamn Volvo exclusive shop charging me 3 grand for a full engine swap. I decided to gather the parts myself and find a different place to do it. My idea was to go buy a 940 turbo with the correct engine, go to my friends shop, take it out of the donor, fix it for various leaks, put it in my current car and sell off the donor car as a shell. Or otherwise buy a 940 turbo with the correct engine, go to my friends shop, take it out of the donor, fix it for various leaks, put it in my current car and sell off the donor car with the non turbo engine out of my 240. Both engines are very similar, 2.3L B230s Anyone done this before, have any good ideas?
Just bought a replacement mirror for $30 off ebay since my driver's mirror decided to fuck-up and melt.
what

So naturally we drove around my town like ricer dickheads peelin out all day err' day.
Does anyone have any experience in replacing door springs? Cause mine is broken.. sheered bolt. (and my fucked up mirror) [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11823009/IMAG0272.jpg[/t] [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11823009/IMAG0270.jpg[/t] [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] Also, what are your thoughts on after-market radios? The stock radio for the vehicle is absolute shit. (The Aux button, and lights are dead). I need something that wont cost a fortune, has a aux port, and fits into the 99' Blazer dash

You're good to go.
Getting a new AC pump and a front end alignment on my blazer. They have got to convert it to R-34 i think it was, so I have to wait a couple days to get it back :\
My drivers door keeps making a squeaking sound whenever I open it, I've tried spraying the door hinge with WD-40 but it didn't do anything. Any ideas?
My drivers door keeps making a squeaking sound whenever I open it, I've tried spraying the door hinge with WD-40 but it didn't do anything. Any ideas?
take it apart and put actual grease on it.
Washed the car today for this first time this year and noticed someone had been writing shit on the hood. I could easily tell because even after washing I could still barely see scratches in the shape of the word HIPPIE. Also went to see why the Sirius unit no longer worked. It's fucked. http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/cto/3002696272.html Doesn't run and the guy doesn't know why. Says it's getting Spark, fuel, and has good compression. But it's only 1200 bucks [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] Is there anything I should ask the guy about?

I would pass, since it's not running, and a turbobrick could be had for just a little more in running shape.

If you can spend money on one, might as well buy one with a screen and dvd player/gps. My friend had one that popped out then folded up so he could use the cool GPS. @Del91 Check it out for yourself. I bought my car for $1.3 and it didn't run. Fixed it cheap when we saw the problems he didn't. Its your call really.
I dont need a GPS, nor a DVD player.. unless it would be cheaper to get that
DVD player/video file playback capable; the ones that accept USB drives or memory cards. It's the same price really. Make sure to choose the right brand and the right one with the most audio settings. Also the one where the interface is simple enough you can quickly push a couple of buttons to operate. I actually am thinking about getting a new one as well.
But It's an impossible task to find one that'll match a 80's interior for some reason, they're all blue, glowy and shit, I hate it.
Take it apart and apply a paint layer? Really it's cosmetics. Aside from being superbly shiny and fulla LED's, they're what they are
