UGH. For some reason I might keep the 240 for another week or two at the shop. It's been almost a month since I got it and I haven't even driven it yet. They have to order parts and ship it, you know how long it takes He can't seem to find any new OEM tension rods for the suspension system, (obviously how old the car is). I want to get some cheapo Godspeed or Megan brand rods for the meantime, but I don't have $100 to blow. It sucks being poor. Knowing the shop, they'll get the shitty OEM's anyway and charge us up the butt with it being $100-200.
have you looked on zilvia? I got a set of OEM tension rods for $15.
I've been feeling this for the past 2-3 months, any ways I can determine if it's off? Maybe with a gps?
You can put a new converter in without having to touch the tranny; Other than dropping it and pulling the converter off the shaft, obv. Helluva lot cheaper than replacing the whole tranny AND converter.
I glanced under it. Man I have really non of the tools required to do this job. I'm really hopping its the converter instead of the tranny. What I really really hope for is the Drive shaft that goes back to the rear diff is fucked up. But tomorrow its going on a trailer, and going 100miles to some one that acculy knows something about these damn cars and will give me reliable information. My family uses him. Does great work. If they speed speed past them.
have you looked on zilvia? I got a set of OEM tension rods for $15.
I hang around NicoClub but Zilvia has nice parts that are around my area. Not bad, but only tension rods I've seen are $100 and are broke lol. That's a great idea however. I can see some great deals, forum sales are the best Also, Borland do you have an S13? Pics
Story Time Background There is this kid in my grade called Nick, for the purpose of the stories. He owns a late-model Pontiac Firebird Green in color - Manual; RWD. This kid is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and constantly beats his car to hell and back without proper maintenance. He is in the automotive class too. November All four of his tires goes flat. December He doesnt know how to drive in the snow, so he tried to floor the car in first and gets stuck. We leave him there. January On his way back from the other school, we see that there is smoke coming from his engine... yup, he had an engine fire. We left him. February He gets his car taken away since he is failing most-all of his classes March Gets his car back, blows the clutch. -- Things settle out until April/May -- April, and May [So far] He starts driving this car like a fucking race car, driving 65 in a 45; Fishtailing; and endangering others on the roads. I get fed up with this and decide to file a police report. I do so. He gets mad. I have a friend in his automotive class, that feeds me a lot of information about this kid. (Im not in that class, im in an EMS class). Apparently, he fails to maintain this car so much that his tranny is burning up, and he constantly drives it with a blown head gasket. He constantly brags about his "Firebird" (Literally) that the teacher of the class has had it with him and basically uninvited him to the shop. If he wishs to return, he has to do either do one of two things. 1. Stop driving that car. 2. Sell the car to the teacher. He should sell it to the teacher because the teacher restores cars as his job and teaches part-time. Maybe the Firebird will finally live with the respect it deserves ** There is more to the stories but, Im not going to share them since they require a lengthy backstory.
Someone I know drives a Lincoln LS. He drives 60 in a 25 (the main road through my neighborhood) while blasting Nicky Manag or however the fuck you spell that bitch's name to the point where it rattles the trim and gives everyone within 20 feet a headache and the sudden urge to kill the nearest infant. His car is held together with luck and duct tape. The first time I rode with him he randomly put the music to full volume (his stereo obviously can't handle it) and floored it through a residential neighborhood. He demonstrated his lack of car control by jerking the car around every stop, start, and turn. Then when we get out, he has the audacity to say that he could be a race car driver.
every time I fill up my car feels slower ):

Fucking Ad for the Monte Carlo Dale Edition was surpose to be taken down but the poster forgot, So now I have to move to the last one publically I can find for sale which is in Washington. I'd have to pay nearly 1,000 to get it shipped from there to my house. Other option is do the cost of a plane ticket and gas for coast to coast literally. (Coast line of WA to westchester county). Tipped the dealer an Email saying hey I'm in new york, Whats the status on that car and if its for sale I want it. Road trip sounds fun but is it worth it.
for a average monte carlo that isn't rare nor fast? fuck no. unless its like your dream car and this is the best deal ever anyway, i test drove a 2011 v6 mustang and a 09 gt sunday and hnnnnnnnnnnnng they're so nice the gt obviously had the lovely sound, low end grunt and torque but was less...luxurious, i'll say the v6's interior is so much better though with the nice leather seats, the console and dash just looks better and the ambient lighting just adds so many nice little touches and everything feels so stiff and responsive AHHHHHHHHHHH guys, im leaning heavily towards the v6 just look at it! i imagine driving at night while its cold out would be the most relaxing thing ever. the only thing holding me back is the power and sound. you can't beat the v8 power and when i let it rip on a straight-a-way, i got pushed back in my seat and the roar was incredible. that thing is fucking fast and the v6 just lacks torque, something you can't replicate in a v6 [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] yes the v6 does around 0-60 in the 5.4ish range and thats mindblowing for a v6 and every bit of me says practically, get the v6 with 19 city and 32 highway. but the gt is infinitely cooler. plus a petty reason but my friend just got a 2012 challenger v6 brand new. its a nice car for sure but he spent 24k on it and he wanted a fast car and he made a awful purchase because he could've gotten something waayyy better for the money but I want to beat him in a race and apprantly, whether i get the gt or the v6, i'll still beat him i rambled a lot
Alright, so I've been addicted to Project CARS. Basically its the best racing game to ever be made so far, it will triumph over Gran Turismo. And since you can actually give track data to developers, it influences them to want and make that track for the game. Right now, I'm collecting data for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, so that it can be accurately represented in the game. And since they have both current and historic tracks, I am going to be painstakingly mapping what it is now, for the new data. And then gather old race info on Pikes Peak back in 1985, when the Audi Quattro broke the world record. Which may also put the car in the game. When my car is complete, I am going to be making multiple videos up and down while calculating speed and milage between turns and stuff like that. I will also be pulling over a lot to measure track widths and things like that in the turns. Will be a fun summer for sure. [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] Gotta pageking it with some bullshit.
Is it strange to name your car? Is it even more stranger to name it after a video game character?
Nope. Is it strange to have sexual relation's with your vehicle? Yes.
for a average monte carlo that isn't rare nor fast? fuck no. unless its like your dream car and this is the best deal ever i rambled a lot
Dale Earnhardt was my favorite racer, His style was I win you loose. No one is better then him and if he doesn't get in first he lost just like the person in last place. There were three made in 2001 before he died in the accident in which they were going to produce them for 2002. They made only 3333 of the Dale Editions in 2002 (Referencing his number 3)
That kinda sounds like he was a douche. He didn't accept what he received.
redacted
That kinda sounds like he was a douche. He didn't accept what he received.
Not really, He just had a true racing mentality. If you race and have doubt about winning then you arn't racing your just driving. He didn't race to try to get to first. He raced to be number one. He was still one of the nicest people to be around.
I've never saw another racer that was all like "NOP LOL NOT GOOD ENOUGH".
I've never saw another racer that was all like "NOP LOL NOT GOOD ENOUGH".
He wasn't NOPE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, he was more "I didn't win".
every time I fill up my car feels slower ):
every time i fill up the gas slowly drips out till i have 3/4 of a tank left
Every time I fill up my wallet gets lighter. Last fill was £85 :/
Every time I fill up.. I've never had enough money to fill up my car. The most i have ever put in was $20, but it's usually $5-$10 at a time.
it gets too heavy if you fill it all the way anyway.
Yeah i get better fuel economy this way :v:
Is it strange to name your car? Is it even more stranger to name it after a video game character?
My friend named his 240 fastbutt, Delilah. Why? I have no idea. He went ahead and Photoshopped 'Delilah' on a picture of it and put it as his FB timeline picture. I don't know what to call mine. A car?
i pour gas on my engine so instead of air intake it has gas fume intake makes for some serious revs n shit
"The egg on wheels" or "The living room on wheels" are what I call my car :v:
"The egg on wheels" or "The living room on wheels" are what I call my car :v:
I had a car like that for about 24 hours. It was an 88 Oldsmoblile Regency Brougham. Shit was like a couch on wheels. Was a complete piece of shit under the hood though - suspension was dead and the engine was smoking.

Yeah I know you like it and that's fine, that's what matters, but after looking it up the SS has a 3.8 V6 doing 0-60 in 8.6 seconds and it's FWD. that's awful
Is it strange to name your car? Is it even more stranger to name it after a video game character?
i can't name mine because I can't decide :<
