yeah I was legitimately thinking of a wagon Volvo XC70 for example, that's like the only wagon I really like appearance wise. This car would probably be used for work commute and I work a 9-5 desk job in the city and i'm in a suburb so there'd be no shortage of snow between me and my work. I'm pretty sure a sports car would still work with maybe some sand in the trunk to help weigh it down and a sharp wit.
RWD isn't good for snow at all, you're going to want to stick to AWD or FWD if you want something that won't get really hard to drive in winter. A light RWD vehicle is really hard to keep under control on snow and ice. Subaru is a great choice, Evo is also a good choice, AWD DSMs are good too but not quite as reliable as some other AWD options. As for FWD you can't really go wrong, they're all equally boring. :v Are you looking for something really cheap or are you looking for soemthing really nice? Because cheap is really easy to come by for what you're after.
I have $7,000 still I was thinking a Celica because FWD but there aren't a lot of newer models How many miles can I expect out of a subaru? [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] An impreza looks pretty good because sporty look + AWD

I'm going to FrenchCarShow2012 next month. Would anyone like me to post RICERCHAVWAGONFRENCHSHITBOXESWASTEOFMONEY etc etc pictures? I'm on the Saxperience stand with tonnes of other saxos! Here's a quick pic of a couple of saxos from last year. Of course that's only a small section, there were probably hundreds and my car was originally a lot cleaner... the club is on the straight section of track at Donington this year
I don't know, get an AWD Subby? There's lots of wagons for cheap if you can deal with those. Maybe, something like this? http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/2949387914.html Not a lot of lan evos for cheap there. But if I were you, I'd just stick to the right car. Would you really want to drive with excessive snow ?
FMIC, possibly stock turbo? pointless and probably isn't even running a proper tune
Skip to 2:20. :v:
If you're looking for turbo Subarus try and find the ones that are kept simple. All you need to make power is a downpipe (+uppipe on 2.0 models), and a retune is always mandatory. Intakes, bovs, intercoolers etc do nothing without a larger turbo and will only cause more headaches down the road. Make sure the turbo shield is still there. Since people are trying to make 400+hp on crappy cast pistons you pretty much aren't allowed to knock ever. Just an intake with no tune will risk cracked ringlands since the ecu takes a shit. Hell, stock brand new sti's were blowing pistons just because the tune sucked. Some even developed rod knock because they used the recommended oil, which is far too thin. I'd stay away from cars that ran on Mobil1 5w30 especially in tropical climates. FMIC's are 20g territory imo, I love the lagless response of a TMIC even with a slower spooling turbo. I feel that if you're making enough power to utilize a FMIC you should upgrade the internals anyways. tl;dr they're annoying finicky cars that suck to work on, but fun to drive

I really want to learn how to drive a stick I mean, I can, but I haven't practiced in months and I kind of want to buy a manual car just so I can have that skill under my belt
Boner achieved.
Penis: Armed and ready.
protocol, you can get an rx7, best thing is it can be run off of 87 octane fuel with no problems. If you want a nice awd car, pick up a used Subaru impreza, they can be purchased for 6 grand. Or you could get a AWD Volvo S70 and turbo the shit out of it, same difference.
see the RX7 I posted looks REALLY nice, but also gas mileage problems and it'd be a pain to drive in the snow. Also it's a manual, and I'd think a manual sports car would be a bit of a pain to get used to There are a lot of Imprezas but a lot of them are wagons, I hate the look of Subaru wagons. Definitely doable though The S70 isn't so bad either I still think I'll ultimately end up with a Civic or an Accord (If you're bradley, read this: with VTEC)
Cmon, civics are so common :(
I'll do a carbon fiber hood, spoiler and two-tone body kit. That's unique, right?? [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3015432139.html But god DAMN that RX7 is gorgeous [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] hnng jesus I want that RX7 But rotary engine.

yeah I won't have the money or time to do that after I buy it A S70 is looking like a damn good choice too and I love how boxy it looks
(If you're bradley, read this: with VTEC)
I don't care why do you even point this out [editline]16th May 2012[/editline]
I'll do a carbon fiber hood, spoiler and two-tone body kit. Uhhhh, no thanks. [editline]16th May 2012[/editline] http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3015425722.html Here ya go :P Not an FC, but it's an RX7 and it doesn't have a rotary. Oh, but the mileage.... Yeah I guess this really doesn't address that.
