Dad was thinking of turning a 2000 Camaro into a track car, what do you guys think of those?
280ZX IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD money money money What to buy now...
Those camaros are pretty damn fast with the LS1. It's got a lot of potential
I changed my transmission fluid today, with honda mtf, to hopefully remedy my second gear synchro(or whatever the problem is) issue. It help it a decent amount, but it isn't quite 100% :/. I would rate the functionality of it before i changed the fluid as 6.5/10. It would go into gear but be really stiff and would grind for a nanosecond. Now i would rate it at 8/10. It's works pretty well, goes into gear without any issues about 75% of the time, is a bit stiff and harder to engage 22% of the time, and is feels pretty rough 3%(if that) of the time. It really all depends on the revs i am changing at though. I didn't gun it ever or build the revs up super high on this test run, i don't want to push it too hard. There wasn't a whole lot of particulates in the old fluid either, some random tiny metal flecks, the biggest (by far) only being about 2mm long and paper thin. I still fill bummed out that my car doesn't feel rock solid anymore. The brakes have gone soft, the alignment is a bit off, and my transmission is fucking with me. At least it still runs well, and doesn't have major transmission problems for the moment.
> Got into car again to get the code > CEL flashing at me (Fuck. > turned car back off, fearing damage from driving with that fatal light, and called my supervisor
When we got our Volvo 740 GLE we found a total of 6 spare keys in magnetic boxes dotted all over the bloody place :v: I kept one when it was time to move onto a new vehicle, seriously that thing just drank fuel, was sluggish and was terrible in snow. It's a shame because inside it was a great car, if only we were able to get the diesel version.

I would also suggest possibly flushing and bleeding through your brake fluid in your clutch and brake lines, soft and odd feeling brakes can be caused by air in the lines. Although something has to introduce this such as leaks or lazy work being done to the systems. It will never hurt to change the fluid, it's not a cure all but it will just increase the lifespan of the transmission at the very least. In other transmission news I now have a GSR transmission in my LS Integra and the shorter gearing makes my car so much more fun to drive and responsive in every gear. I can coast down to a stop in 5th instead of having to go to 3rd. I'm betting on that I'll get better city mileage since I don't have to be in the gas as much although highway might take a hit because of it being at 3k at 60mph in 5th. I'll have plenty more fun with the gearing though, since getting up to speed is way more fun than going really really fast anyways. It will probably go faster than my old top speed though due to more power being made where it used to top out though lol. Now I need to get it aligned, tinted, repainted/body work, header/cat delete, fix the fucking secondary o2 sensor that died 20k miles ago and fix the oil pan seal leak right above the header which is nice because it apparently cleans up after it's self or something despite 2.5qt being needed between oil changes.
Great having the right contacts, my friend owning a garage (MOT certified). Just got my picasso serviced (I helped.. as much as I could). Oil, Fuel and Pollen filters plus fresh Fully synthetic oil... charged me parts only, £57 :D Runs REALLY smooth now, overrun whine is less pronounced too.

Met up with a friend at 10 or so last night and we cruised the ricer scene with another FC and a 240, then after they split he directed me to a sweet mountain pass in the middle of nowhere in which i drove up and down a few times and then let him drive up and down and then back to his house (his FC has a blown coolant seal so he hadn't driven in months). Priced a clutch kit, shifter bushings and various fluid changes to be about 200 bux and then headed home at about 1:45. All in all, good night, wish we could do it more often. He loves the setup i have, thinks the suspension is really tight and the engine feels fine, but the tranny needs some work, hence the parts. Not sure when I'll get around to ordering them though
Rest well sweet prince. Friend went to look at a 68' cougar Frame was twisted to shit from rotting and sitting in this guys yard. :(
Sorry I should have said, we were looking at replicas already.
Ah, I got this book recently it's great, you should check it out http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=40805&langId=-1
Dat feel when someone says your truck is overpriced so you repost it and you got 5 people trying to get a hold of you overnight. YEAHHHH WHATS OVERPRICED NOWWWW? Sorry, just excited. I was worried my truck would never sell. [sp]I originally posted it too high and not many people scroll all the way to page 16...[/sp]

Then Jap wanted to drive the CRX on the way back and took off way ahead of us (I rode with Bobby)... I think he misses the point of hanging out and cruising. Which brings up a question, how often do you guys hang out with friends who have cars and then cruise together to go somewhere? Like, stick together heading to a location. I do this alot with my friends, but Jap is the world's worst about speeding off and not giving a shit if you keep up. -___-
My very first time was up above, loads of fun. But we stuck together like glue, if you want to speed off on your own you may as well just go for a cruise alone. [editline]11th February 2012[/editline] In the first place.

It's fun sometimes just to drive around, and since my truck is getting offers, might be able to have a fun car to drive soon!
that studebaker needs some whitewalls

Also, in time, i was thinking of making my truck a tubbed-out street legal drag truck.
I want to have the brake fluid changed and new drums, pads, and front rotors put on, i just can't afford the supplies to do it myself, and don't really have the know how. My friend said he could help me with it, but i still haven't got the supplies. The car has had a rebuilt transmission i found out, at around 60,000 miles probably. The car has 115,xxx now. I can't tell you exactly, because the digital readout is broken, i just know it's at 115k. The fluid was a bit of a pain in the ass to change, and superman had torqued both fill and drain plugs on originally; So i had to have my brother and step dad help me break them loose. [t]http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/183/wp000763.jpg[/t] [t]http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/5633/wp000760.jpg[/t] The method i used, required me taking out my battery and air intake silencer box. I didn't have a hose to attach to the funnel to make my life easier, instead i had bent the bottom of that funnel to go sideways into the fill hole. I spilled some, but i cleaned most of it up as best i could.
How much does sand blasting, priming, and painting a truck usually run? I talked to this guy today and he wanted $5,000 + Materials to do a full paint job.
5k sounds incredibly pricey
How much does sand blasting, priming, and painting a truck usually run? I talked to this guy today and he wanted $5,000 + Materials to do a full paint job.
go somewhere else, that sounds an awful lot, and do your own prep work, might reduce cost
I want a DeLorean.
Looked at comanche, runs/drives good. Offered 2500 and then in my head was like you shoulda said 2k you dumb fuck So now if i do have the cash imma purchase it next weekend then sell my car and then i realize that im buying a motherfucking jeep comanche 4spd
