Well I'd like to purchase it, not print it, but that gives me exactly the information I need to find the service manuals anyway. Thanks a bunch
I keep a laptop around. Heck no I'm not printing a thousand pages from my FSM
Mine are metal, as well as my mom's 06 silverados. What are they putting the plastic ones on? cars?
L05, yours is a replacement if it is metal. Might just be a bad belt but it could be worn out already, who knows.
All L05 engines have a plastic idler from the factory, period. That's pretty much how to tell if it's original or not, since everyone replaces them with the metal aftermarket ones.
Your mom has an LS engine, completely different.
I've been playing iracing lately, I don't do road courses I prefer ovals for some reason, I dunno having a huge pack of cars going anywhere between 140mph to 200mph depending on the car and series is just so much fun.
Been doing street stock racing at Charlotte speedway and right before the first lap is completed theres always one wreck taking out half the race, Then your left with the other half generally a front pack of the top 5 or 6 then some stragglers tandem drafting to catch up with them.
The realism is so amazing, Daytona truck races going 190mph+ constantly 3 wide every turn. Fun part is steering wheels are required or a gamepad if your gay or something.
I really want a wheel for racing sims, but I can't justify the expense :/
Yeah 300 g27 wheel really put a dent in my pocket, but i've been having great fun
I think I've spent like 800 dollars on wheels in total, my first g25, died in a house fire, second g25... just wanted to replace it so I could play forza with a wheel, so I bought a 911 GT2 Fanatec wheel

They sell 30 dollar ones at walmart.

The thing is the really expense ones serve a purpose. Realistic Feedback, 1:1 steering ratios, Clutch pedals and better pedal response and quality.
Those i guess are good for generic racing games but i can see those pedals easily breaking if someone stomped on it. I trust my steel pedals instead :P. That wheel doesn't even look like it has mounts

WOW that's cheap. Is it any good though?
Best wheels are Thrustmaster and Logitech, Theres two or three other companys that make specific custom wheels that cost over 1000$
Went down a road i havent been down in a while that leads to the bay.
It was high tide.
Pretty cool driving down a road thats covered in water at night time
I ran over a few minnows and almost squashed a baby turtle
WOW that's cheap. Is it any good though?
of course not
[editline]3rd June 2012[/editline]
if you want a cheap good wheel get a logitech driving force gt, it seems to be 130$/€ now but couple years ago when I bought mine it was about 85€, so you might find a used one for pretty cheap

I really want a thrustmaster T500RS

check 1:40
For 200 more i could have gotten a Thrustmaster, I kinda do regret it but i think 300 down and I've spent around 100 buying tracks in iracing

Not sure if want... "Minor Electrical Repair" to me means "All hell broke lose and the tranny module is in safe mode"
I saw a nicely done V70 yesterday. Makes me want a black V70 soooooo bad.
After going from a Microsoft Wireless Wheel to a Logitech G27, I will never, ever spend less than $200 on a wheel ever again.
Next wheel will probably be a Fanatec CSR Elite w/ GT and Formula wheels. But spending $700 on that isn't justified until I get a job and have enough money for the wheel and iRacing and whatever sims are out by that time.
Just saw the new livery I made for the first time this weekend. It's pretty cool

Check the Logitech website for open box deals on the G27. Sometimes you can get them for around 175. Got mine from Newegg when it was on sale for 235.
[editline]3rd June 2012[/editline]
I may give my brother my G27 and get a Thrustmaster at some point.
I bought a G27 a day it was on sale and I really don't regret it. It makes every car game (with good wheel support of course) into a whole different game
I too want a wheel, but like was said, they're damn expensive. And I don't have many games to play it with. RoR? FUEL? Paradise?
..never mind that'd kick ass.
Don't even try to do a Honda timing belt if you've never timed an engine in your life. They're easy to change compared to a lot of things, but tolerance is key -- just a couple of teeth off and you will ruin that engine.
In my opinion I'd say run it until 120,000 and then take it in to have a belt put on.

Awesome, thanks, I'll do that (unless it snaps between now and then but I'm pretty sure if the belt was never replaced it probably would have already done that by now.
Mine skipped a tooth at 113k on startup in a parking lot. IMO, 120k is rather pushing it.
Besides that isn't the timing belt simply behind a plastic cover? Wouldn't it be as easy as popping that off, judging if it's used looking and says Honda on it?
If you're already at 99k, I'd just start saving up. I wouldn't even feel comfortable hitting 110k.
Even if you do have to pop the valve cover off it definitely wouldn't hurt at all to replace the gasket since it is a 15 year old car.
New Visors came

FUEL is awesome with the "Refueled mod", but still nobody plays it :/
I bought a Logitech Momo Racing wheel a year ago for €25,- and loving it! So that might be an option for the guys who want a good cheap (second hand) wheel but don't necessarily need the clutch pedal.
Also, I didn't want to withhold you guys the meanest Opel I've ever seen:
http://link.marktplaats.nl/565919185
Might just save up a bit more and bid on it.
That's the best looking Opel I've seen, shame they're all crap.
FUEL is awesome with the "Refueled mod", but still nobody plays it :/
No one plays it because fuel is absolutely boring. There is nothing in the game world. Just trees, and ruins.

My parents are out this week and I need the car for the week to get to work so I'll get it looked at professionally next weekend. Money is no object, I just got paid and probably have around $2000 in savings which will cover any immediate repairs (belt + possibly water pump, windshield, rear brake bulb)

I bought a g27 two days ago after thinking about it for a while.
It is a seriously good piece of kit. Works excellent with Live for Speed.
Oh man, install of those visor-things was easy. pop-off, pop-on
Cars, Babes, Alcohol, And fuck what a weekend...
Also got to spend a little time in the Drift pit where Ferosso was working, and i helped my buddy who just recently started drifting with changing some tyres, damn that was a blast :)
What a fucking weekend..
I'd love a racing wheel for Forza, but I can't justify the expense, especially heading off to college next year where I'll need the cash for textbooks and whatnot.
