So far I see a difference with my car, High octane gas + New K&N.
Smoother accel and a bit more power.
I asked for a quote for two Superchargers and everything needed for installation for my Grand prix and my friend's one, for the two kits it'll end up costing us 1850$ each duty, taxes and shipping covered, not so bad, we plan to order in 2 weeks or such.
Hey, at least that is cheaper than what i'm doing.
1250 in parts
1469 for labor
Sheesh
At least my engine will be turbo + 0 miles.
Gonna attempt to do the coolant flush this afternoon. Wish me luck.
Also I stuck a bottle of Lucas Injector Cleaner into the tank today. Anybody have any luck with those fuel system cleaners?

Well me and my friend will be swapping the two top ends of the engines in one day once we have the two kits received. We save on labor, probably about 8hrs each car, and either ways, if we need help of a mechanic, we've got one who does our stuff for 20 buck an hour.
GT going like a GTP
Decided to put some LSD Additive into the rear end...Night and day difference. Not only did it get rid of the chattering coming off from a stop, but it launches SO much smoother, it doesn't feel like it's constantly fighting me anymore, like I'm having to ride the clutch to get it going because it doesn't want to move. Feels much better. Don't know why i waited so long for a $7 tube of it; Hopefully it didn't cause any damage.

So is everything back to normal with it, or is it still having problems?

Kayaking sounds like voluntary waterboarding to me.
Oh man. i'm scared to take my car on the highway for fear that the higher speeds will wreck the timing belt (assuming it's bad.)
Haven't had a chance to actually go look at it, since I've either been asleep, busy, or it's been raining :v:
I rafted down the Deschutes River last summer. I was exhausted by the end of the trip, but it was really fun. I guess there were a couple of class 4 rapids or whatever. I think the biggest one was just pretty much a 10-15ft drop.
And Oh Shit rock. :v:
So is everything back to normal with it, or is it still having problems?
It's pretty much back to normal, yes. In fact the wreck seems to have, at the least, slowed the internal coolant leak. I was out cruising friday night, which usually takes a huge toll on it, but then i drove around quite a bit both saturday and today and after refilling it tonight, it didn't use very much at all. Whereas previously I had to empty half a gallon worth in the overflow back into the rad every night, there was only about 1/8'th for 3 days of hard driving. Interesting.
I tried to get speakers for the rear but had to return them because apparently I'm missing a pretty critical piece for them to screw into, so that's gonna have to wait. Maybe I'll go back and re-purchase them and throw them in a box, get rid of the shit $20 sony one i have. Dunno.
But yeah. Still some kinks here and there to work out but she's essentially back to normal.

IF NOODLE DOESNT BUY THIS HES A GAY
Didn't get to flush coolant today, will do tomorrow as the goal. Still lots of stuff to fix on that 240sx. Found out the headlights need adjusting. Will need to detach the whole front end on this beast. Bumper removal, then removal of the radiator to water the crud out of it and get the bugs and crap stuck between the fins. Will inspect the handiwork of my mechanic see what kind of BS he did
I might get hired at a local Autozone, (lol), right now they only have a handful of cashiers, maybe I can help and get a discount while I'm at it for basic repair parts. I wouldn't mind selling sparkplugs and coolant all day as long as I get paid.

Are 240s rare? Because it seems like you're doing a shit load of work for a car that doesn't seem all that costly
[editline]4th June 2012[/editline]
Yeah they're all under $3000 around me on Craigslist

Not everyone has $15,000 to spend on their car.

s13s are boss, shut up.
Well I made the commute into work this morning no problem, which is about 30 minutes of highway driving. With any luck my timing belt will last the week
The benefit of having a tiny car is that I can pick any parking spot I want (as long as it isn't reserved)
Hey guys, do you like my cold air intake?

No I like that he's working on it, it's a good thing, I'm just saying with the amount of work he's putting into it, he's nearly restoring it, it just doesn't seem like it'd pay off
And I like cheap cars too so yeah, remember I was going to get a 80s Trans Am
