It's not the actual cover I'm worried about, it's the tube that's secured to the top of it as well as the shit next to it I'd be worried of breaking
Also, funny story. I had no idea Hondas had the cooling fan kick on after the engine was turned off, so I was moderately puzzled when it kicked on last evening after I had returned home from work. I let it run for a few minutes thinking it was harmless and it turns out it was :v:
stop freaking out FFS. this thread is now full of yo avatar freaking over the smallish thing
That reminds me. Where should I look to get OEM honda shit? I figure I'd be better off buying the valvetrain (isn't the timing belt technically part of it) shit I need and paying some place to get it all installed.
Dood, my dad freaked out because I got like 3 huge packages today.
100 pounds in stuff. Got a full engine head, Intercooler parts, various other parts.
Inspiring.
I should get a job too so I can buy all sorts of goodies. Wouldn't mind lowering coils :D

My buddy runs EMUSA Coilovers on his s13 and has no complaints, I'd highly recommend them for a budget coilover setup. He did bitch once about them rusting up a little bit, but a touch of WD-40 on the sleeves remedied that.
Lol
My car made it into a danish car magasine..
Only a picture but who cares WOOHOOO!!
Horrible cancer frame rust everywhere, not worth it imo. Lotsa money mang
Are you sure? It only seemed to be slightly extensive in the front, nothing structurally compromising.
Replaced my fog light covers :D
They're called headlight doors. I have no idea what they were smoking when they came up with that name.

Headlight wipers are the most usless things ever put on a car.
[editline]6th June 2012[/editline]
useless* sorry i'm stupid.
They're useful to get snow and other crud off of them
snow usually melts right away
There has never been a point where i though, "Man i wish i had headlight wipers;" Now, a rear windshield wiper? Yes please, why doesn't every car have one?
shit that reminds me i'm gonna have to get my own ice scraper thing
but that's not for like another 6 months so
Hehehe someone just discovered what it is to own a car...
Now, a rear windshield wiper? Yes please, why doesn't every car have one?
I've never had use for one, heating takes care of pretty much everything

STOP
FUCKINg
WORRYING
arrrggggg I can't take it anymore
I found a brush/scrape from my car when I last cleaned it and I didn't even remember that I had bought it
It was a shitty 2€ one it was so awful to use that I bought a larger and better one like a week after the first one for 10€

i'm not worrying I was just reminded that I need to buy some shit before winter rolls around
chill out
i cleaned out my wiper fluid nozzles today and filled up the bone dry fluid reservoir, works decently well. not that I have to clean a new windshield anyway and if anything the leftover gunk on the wipers has made it worse
In the winter I kept 2 keys to my car with me so when I was leaving school I would start my car and lock it, go to eat and then come back to a nice warm car
didn't always work though since it got so cold few times that idle revs weren't enough to get the engine warm

I used my bank card to scrape my windows when they froze up the first time last winter because I didn't really have anything else at hand

I'm referencing to rain, my back window is pretty swept so it collects a lot of water and makes it hard to see out of. As for snow, i cut my defrosters in a few spots when removing my tint, so only half of them work. Rear visibility isn't really that huge of a problem for me though, it would just be NICE to have a rear wiper.
[editline]6th June 2012[/editline]
Also, i tried doing that (two keys thing) last winter, and i couldn't as far as i remember. It just wouldn't let me lock my car. Now that i think about it, i may have been using the key fob to try and lock it. It would probably work with a real key.
if I have my defog on in the rain the glass usually goes dry in ~5 minutes and stays dry

My car has Nissan's intelligent key, so awesome to be able to lock the car while it's running and never fish a key out of my pocket.
Back when i had my Chevy, in the winter months once i finally got the fucking thing running without me feathering the gas (lolcarb), i only had one key but was able to, thanks to the shotty design, remove the key while it was in the on position. So basically, start truck, take key out, truck stays running, lock doors, go inside. Neat little trick i learned one day, was fucking around and the key just slid right out. Brother couldn't figure out how i was driving around town with no key :o
God i miss that truck sometimes...
[editline]6th June 2012[/editline]
I think there was also a way to open the drivers door without a key but i don't exactly remember. The ignition was also really sensitive in that if you didn't have it in the perfect spot when you took the key out, it wouldn't lock. So you always had to double and triple check to make sure it wouldn't let you turn it when you were getting out, otherwise you'd be able to just crank it right back over and drive away with no key :P
I scratched up my windshield badly with a snow brush
no one ever told me that it scratches your windows :c

Grand am and jeep both have removable keys while its on, pretty nice, as you said to be able to start in the morning and then lock the doors.
How did you accidentally put it in reverse?
I don't know the shifting pattern for a 74 Beetle but on mine it's like this:
__1_3
R_2_4
You also have to push the lever down to get it into reverse
I have no idea, we are thinking it has a aftermarket gearbox.
You don't have to push it down to go into reverse.
And does yours fell like its not in the gear but it actually is?
I'm thinking about replacing the tail lights in the 300CE with LEDs. Good idea y/n
