Rated dumb for texting while driving
Rated agree because It is stupid, and does kill. But there is some people in this world who do it discreetly and do short ass texts.
It's still texting and driving no matter how you put it. Nice phone by the way.
Rated agree because It is stupid, and does kill. Stop texting and driving.
Damn man, I have a disconnected HTC Thunderbolt running Cyanogen.
I don't even check my messages if I get one while driving :v:
Not only is texting while driving dangerous but also other activities. In germany the only way to use a phone is with a Bluetooth system, if your caught driving and on the phone you can loose your license. A little side story the reason there are no cup holders in earlier german cars is because they believed that you should only be focused on driving, nothing ells. My Scirocco doesn't have any cup holders.
I don't even check my messages if I get one while driving :v:
I used to check it at stoplights but I was then informed that since I'm under 18 cops can pull me over for doing such which also means I can no longer change the song.....
it's hard as shit to drive with a drink in your hand [editline]12th June 2012[/editline] well in the city at least

I text and drive, I use Bluetooth too. I mostly just text at stoplights but I'll dick with the radio whenever
I play twister while driving
You just gotta drive as much as possible. You'll make some embarassing mistakes in the process of learning, but we all do so it's something you just have to put up with. Eventually you'll be so used to driving that it'll become muscle memory for you and you'll look back and laugh at yourself for being so silly
This man speaks truth. The day I got my learner's permit, I went for a drive with my mom. I was going 45, the speed limit, and mind you this was in a 3500 pound minivan, and the light ahead went yellow, and I wasn't sure if I could stop in time. So, I kept on going.. I honestly thought I couldn't make it... Ended up blowing a red by like 1 whole second lol So, just keep in mind, be attentive, stop when it goes yellow unless you're really really close.
If I've learned one thing from driving, it's have a beer in one hand and a blunt in the other Oh and backup booze in the back seat
Talking about not paying attention while driving because other activities, my colleague ran a red light today while we were laughing about a job-related thing, like we were talking and then he suddently brakes real fast and then just continues to drive on, just saying "whoaahah that was a red light" and then we laughed even more :v: But it was "ok", there were no other traffic in front of us and no pedestrians (not ok to run lights, but nothing happened). We only shat ourselves as we met a cop less than a minute after that, but they could never tell we ran the light as they came from the other direction, and there is a hard turn there with a house, so they didn't see us. So a couple of minutes after that when our nerves were calm, we laughed even more at this :v:
I've run a red light with the cops behind me, I accelerated to greens but as soon as I had my foot on the gas the lights went red. I looked in the mirror and saw a cop car driving like ~50m behind
I've checked my texts while riding my motorcycle before. Even responded once although it was really difficult.
Rated agree because It is stupid, and does kill. But there is some people in this world who do it discreetly and do short ass texts.
I think it's really dumb so I rated you as such. People and families die because you can't have self-control and put down the social networking. Worst things I have done is press answer on my phone while in a stop light or going below the speed limit to answer an important call. Even then I feel really guilty and dangerous doing so. Never texted while driving. Hopefully I get to measure out the coolant hoses today. Freaking Nissan, loves to put complicated, compact everything in everywhere. One thing goes wrong, the whole system stops. The hoses are like vines weaving deep between engine parts. I figure I'd have to remove the power-steering pump and pulley/belt to get to the hoses. Anybody know anything about measuring belt deflection?
Looks like my stereo is done. Took it out, wires seemed fine, no burn or scorch marks that I could see. Re-positioned the ground wire, made sure everything was connected, turned it on and it still doesn't work. Any recommendations for cheap yet good stereos?

But the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for." Just get the basic requirements like an AUX jack, CD player, adjustable settings, and support for your speaker #.

Just get a cheap sony x-plode. No need to go overboard on a stero. Unless your engine sounds like an eggbeater.
So I got a call this morning and apparently the guy I hit is making an insurance claim. Unless I have to pay for a tire alignment I'm disputing it, he had literally no damages.
Just got done driving up Pikes Peak with my brother. Spent a good portion of the time taking pictures of the road, scenery, and everything else. A lot of it is going to be sent to the project CARS guys to try and get them to make the hillclimb a part of the game. Pretty good birthday so far, even got the worlds best fudge from the top.
My brother is trying to tell me his 2001 Honda Accord EX got 29 city and 32 highway, which is just plain incorrect. I can supply him with endless sources of it's true value, which is 18/26, and he just gets pissed off and tells me it's wrong.

He insists that it was written somewhere in his car which is conveniently long gone. His 200hp v6 in a 3000lbs car gets better fuel economy than my 115hp i4 in a car weighing 2400lbs.
my 135hp I4 gets 21/28 according to the manufacturer specs sheet so he's clearly shittin'. Also I took my car to a body shop today just to get the damages appraised. So we'll see.
Yeah, he's just kind of stubborn to accept a misconception. My car get's 27/34(:O i thought it was 26/32, a pleasant surprise.) according to Edmunds.com.
