I hit a tree and backed into shit with my jeep, I know to not be completely retarded on the road
I exaggerate a lot here because you all can get so uptight

I don't think anyone was being uptight, texting and driving is fucking dumb and you should feel like an ass for doing it.
i did donuts in some gravel near a playground and bruised up a bunch of children
I hit a kid on a bike, funniest thing ever.
I was the kid on the bike, and yeah, it was pretty funny.
not funny i have a court date
Haha. I got Jury duty next week.
not funny i have a court date
Almost got side-swiped today. Some ass thought he could speed past me before the merge. I didnt let that happen. That bitch didnt slow down, and almost removed my entire back end.
Fuck yer. 13 MPG city, 16 MPG highway. When it was new. With good O2 sensors, and no exhaust leaks.
:(
not funny i have a court date
7/20 and I probably have to get an attorney because careless is criminal in Colorado

That's exactly how my accident happened
Guy started merging before I even hit my brakes to give him room so I swerved
Haha. I got Jury duty next week.
Is it Rocco Magnoatatata?
[editline]13th June 2012[/editline]
Guy starts riding my ass on a very curvy road, suddenly slow to 5mph. He can't pass because curves.
That makes u an ass. Y slow down? That is just instigating.
Because he was an ass and riding my ass.
Just like people at the store, if they vulture my parking spot, I'll just get a book out of the trunk and start reading.
So my car is in the shop, now I just have to wait 3 weeks.
If everything works out well, then I got the turboes :)
Did a day of work, I have two more to go. Some temp assistant nursing job.
At least I have some money now to go finish the maintenance on this 240. I might even get enough money to buy stuff like a Sparco bucket seat or ACTUAL non-ebaytyte steering wheel/shifter knob. Track coilovers? :D
If only I had the money...

Sparco is a very expensive company (As they are also very good) if there were cheaper options would you perhaps invest in a cheaper option?
What kind of seat are you looking at buying?
-edit-
Be sure to check out :
Bride
Corbeau
OMP
Cobra
Mastercraft
You also could just get your seats reupholstered or even just buy a seat cover

I trust Sparco because they are used professionally. Need a racing seat because the actual frame of my driver seat is so rusted the latch broke so its stuck always reclined all the way back like a gangsta lean driver.
Bride, Corbeau are also ones I gotta look at for the seats. I like Sparco steering wheels, they are very rugged and simple. I'm just happy to have income once again, saving this cash and buying engine maintenance parts. If I'm lucky, I can look at interior/exterior parts
Picked up a nice Air-compressor and Impact today, weekend dedicated to the car, told the GF to go away for the weekend aha. Will get some pictures. Hope to have the Tranny out sunday.
Anyone know what the fuck I keep smacking on the sidewalk when I back out? It's been like this since I got it (i.e. problem existed before I got in the accident) and everytime I back out, something in the front hits the sidewalk and goes *THUNK*
Can't be good for it, and the only way I can manage to not hit it is to back out at extreme angles (or not park in the garage but since my door won't shut, no thank you)
[editline]13th June 2012[/editline]
I'll get a picture of it, gimme a sec.

You need to make that door shut.
well the door shuts but the seal isn't there
to the point where the car thinks the door is open (but you can't open it so it's latching on)

here's what's scraping
no idea what it is. also that lovely torn up shield thingy that's soaked with oil
People's ability to drive is damn near zero as soon as they see orange. Yes, its a construction zone and there are cones lining either side of you but, that doesnt mean that you should any bit different.
I saw three people hit cones today. Seriously. Keep your eyes on the road

For the first one : I wounder what would happen if you use painters caulk (silicone, latex or both) to create a makeshift seal? It probably would'nt last long but you would have it fixed NOW.
see this: http://www.lowes.com/cd_Caulk+Buying+Guide_665628896_#Latex%20vs.%20Silicone
One of those funny retarded things to do.
-edit-
It would'nt seal well but do it because yes
Protocol, that's those plastic engine bay under-paneling. The real name escapes me. It helps vent the air under your car instead of towards your fan. It helps the radiator cool better.
Looks like yours is pretty torn up. I would just unbolt it before it causes an accident coming off and getting stuck on your suspension/steering somewhere.

It's not the paneling that's the problem, it's that metal canister that's broke through it that scrapes on the sidewalk
It's not the paneling that's the problem, it's that metal canister that's broke through it that scrapes on the sidewalk
Your car sounds like you just pulled it out from a lake or something? What the hell happened to it
Your car sounds like you just pulled it out from a lake or something? What the hell happened to it
No, the car sounds fine
When I back out that metal part scrapes on the sidewalk, once I hit the bump that transitions from sidewalk to street. Which is why the underpaneling is all weird (that and oil has made it really, really fragile)
I mean, you can see it sticking out in the photo, and it's only when I back out or back in without doing some seriously sharp turning, which I'll be doing a lot seeing as I'm taking it to a couple body shops to get it quoted
No one can tell what it is without you taking the splash guard off. It seems pretty far forward though since I can see the tow hook near it, the only things I can think of on my car which are that far forward is the AC compressor/condenser, power steering pump, windshield washer pump and the radiator. From what I remember of my buddy's prelude there was also a vacuum cruse control thingy over there too but that seems too low for it to be that.

Lol In a construction zone when there cones are PERFECTLY placed like some OCD Person did it.
I try my hardest to hit the edge of them so they fall over onto the car's behind me. I never have hit a cone thank goodness to my really really small passenger mirror!
