My god, now i'm afraid to get a 240sx because of all the problems you're having. I guess the car teaches you how to become a mechanic.
Lol, this is true. I never in my life worked on a car so extensively. I mean, I know my way around computer components and such. Don't let my experience deter you from 240sx's. I just gambled with this 240 that has been neglected by the surfer owner. Being the only manual transmission 240 in the span of cities available, and for such a low price I just had to snag it. Made friends with a neighbor down the block. He was working on his nice Datsun 240z. He was running the car with bad springs and he messed up the unibody. Sanding it with bondo and such. I might borrow some tools from him for my car like torque wrenches and socket wrenches he has a full garage set :P
Fucking little rust bubble on tip of the hood. How in the hell does a 2011 car have rust Have to call fucking ford now
Thank god for warranties
little pebble hits top of it breaking the clear coat, tadaa future rust
There's still paint under the clearcoat though and primer under that
Literally a pin size or smaller not visible to the eye can begin to slowly oxidize and cause rust over a certain amount of time. A pebble kicked up by another car on the highway or etc can cause that not-seen-by-the-eye hole in the paint and cause it. It's really fucked up when you think about it, Even then the dealer will cover it and probably repaint the car at the cost of them.
But..his car is a brand new off the dealer lot Mustang.
Ive still got my full warranty so it shouldn't be too big an issue but seriously what the fuck
Ive still got my full warranty so it shouldn't be too big an issue but seriously what the fuck
should have got a camaro.
too bad they're way more expensive
But..his car is a brand new off the dealer lot Mustang.
a brand new car doesn't have a force field that deflects pebbles
It doesn't? what the fuck
Fucking little rust bubble on tip of the hood. How in the hell does a 2011 car have rust Have to call fucking ford now
My uncle's F150 is getting rust like a motherfucker, even though it's only about a three or four year old truck. I know it's still kinda old, but I've never seen cars rust that quickly [editline]16th June 2012[/editline] Also, [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/wpGhA.jpg[/img_thumb] That is an actual parking job, by the way
Ooooo...Not sure how I'd do it to mine though considering how the headlights are sealed units. [editline]16th June 2012[/editline] Cool idea though i guess. kinda iffy on how it looks on the car though.
I like this
Ive still got my full warranty so it shouldn't be too big an issue but seriously what the fuck
Mankind's creations will never stand the test of time/elements Speaking of which I ordered brand new OEM parts just now. All bunch of annoying rare water hoses, headlight housings, rad cap, injector rings. Going to school without a 240 I guess for the first two weeks, oh well. $180 :D
Mankind's creations will never stand the test of time/elements
Enjoy them while you can, friends.
i'm getting my rusted panel replaced on my car when I go in to get the wreck damage fixed Should be around $2600 total
Sweet, so you end up better than before.
Sweet, so you end up better than before.
well apparently rust is like the cancer of cars no reason to not just get it done all in one shot
I like this Siminov guy, he likes Volvos c:
Ofc [img_thumb]http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/318162_445860218761991_1061112917_n.jpg[/img_thumb] I'll get some pics of the engine out when I go by the shop sometime. Have to drop off the turbo watercooling addon kit.
I don't think my car has any "cancer" (body-wise, that is). I'd probably die of stress if I found a rust spot on my car
Apprantly this is an issue on the 05 and up mustang because ford returned to aluminum hoods and steel trunk lids. My trunks fine but that damn little spot
Apprantly this is an issue on the 05 and up mustang because ford returned to aluminum hoods and steel trunk lids. My trunks fine but that damn little spot
So is it getting replaced or are they giving you giant middle finger?
I like this Siminov guy, he likes Volvos c:
I have always loved Volvos, everyone in my family have owned one. :v:
Urg, hate not having enough credit to loan about 12k. :v:
I have always loved Volvos, everyone in my family have owned one. :v:
My dad had a V70 which he sold for a diesel Chrysler 300C Estate :c
So is it getting replaced or are they giving you giant middle finger?
Oh no I haven't even talked to them yet, that's just what research I've done
My dad had a V70 which he sold for a diesel Chrysler 300C Estate :c
We had a Volvo 940 Turbo, but we had to sell it because we couldn't afford it at the time. Now we have a Mitsubishi Galant.
We had a white ´95 945 GLT, iirc That is the best car we've ever had and afaik, everyone agrees
