good body, bad engine, or bad engine good body
You should fix that :v:
Finally I get a tracking code. Here by this Friday. Hopefully this is just the repair I have to do. Some coolant hoses and clamps. If it's something serious like a warped head, cracked headgasket, cracked head, wasted pistons, wasted emission devices I'm in a world of hurt. It pisses me off that my GF's car is exactly like mine so I'll have to do this job 2x eventually. AGHHHHHHH
Fixed the hesitation! As it turns out, it isn't the fuel delivery, it was actually the EGR. What the EGR does is recycle a portion of the exhaust gases back into the intake to be re-burned. What this does is help with emissions a bit. Now the problem was that the sensor to control the EGR was bad, and so it sent in waaay too much exhaust gas making the fuel/air mix far too lean. So fuck yearrr $65 later after putting the new sensor in it accelerates easily and seems to be getting considerably more fuel economy!
Rated informative. I should look into mine as it's bogging as well.
I can't find something thats clean appearence wise, with a decent engine in it. Everything I find is good body, bad engine, or bad engine good body. What I find that is actually good, has little qwarks like "Oh, it doesn't start on occasion due to the cam I put in it, you have to let it cooldown for an hour or so and try agian" "The car is perfectly sound" as I can see smoke coming from the engine bay, and there is oil dripping under the car. Stupid people waste my time.
I'd only buy a fox in pieces, they've been hammered too much to buy complete anymore unless it's a clean, stock example. Shells and even running rollers sell for ~$500 around here. I always wanted to pick one up but I'm too busy with other stuff.
Huy brodly is dis car gud? http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/3066660935.html
The engine bay seems really clean, Either the owner took care of it or just cleaned up a possible shitty car. Main thing that bothers me is why doesnt the hood close or probably owner didn't close it all the way cause takin pics
Huy brodly is dis car gud? http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/3066660935.html
That's good, but this is a better deal: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/3065800417.html :quagmire:

THere hasn't been a GOOD Celica since 1985, when they were all RWD [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] That pretty much sums it up
FWD or GTFO perfect for drifting if you don't mind replacing a whole bunch of shit (i'm totally kidding if it isn't obvious)
FWD or GTFO perfect for drifting if you don't mind replacing a whole bunch of shit
Don't forget to put trays under your rear tires:
snip nvm
FWD or GTFO perfect for drifting if you don't mind replacing a whole bunch of shit (i'm totally kidding if it isn't obvious)
Hey hey hey, I can still power slide like a boss in my scirocco. ;p
Hey hey hey, I can still power slide like a boss in my scirocco. ;p
doesn't that like wreck your cv joint or something
There is a 1969 Dart for sale pretty close to me that I'm thinking of buying, despite having a Dart already I'm thinking of using this one as a summer daily driver. Guy wants $1500 but I'm hoping I can get $1000 or $1250 for it, has a 360 with some mild mods, rust in the quarters and rockers, thing is though that this is a risk free buy, the car will hold $1000+ it's entire life. I don't know if I should buy the car or keep the money and put it into my dart.
doesn't that like wreck your cv joint or something
If it did then RWD cars would suffer from the same problem, but maybe not as quickly. But I'm sure it wont kill to do slides every now and again, since I'm getting new axles an cv joints, the whole lot. ;p
i don't think I could slide in my Lude unless I trayed it since it's so front heavy, and even then it might be hard
inb4 BHG/knock problems that's a pretty shit deal for an auto that slips
I knew someone was going to comment. Course a car that age needs repairs. It's a great deal for a twin-cam, good shell condition 240. Aside from the tranny which can be converted for a few hundred. Meh On topic, anyone done an engine rebuild before? I might want to do it on my old KA, seeing as my friend's changing his headgasket right now. Also I hope our Colorado AA members are ok :(
So, back from Germany, went there for ten days. Cannot remember if I wrote that earlier but w/e. I got a quickie question, what kind of car is this? Is this what you call, a hatchback? [t]http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/ab91/jomt1234/IMAG1048.jpg[/t]

Audi calls them avants. [editline]fdknfgh[/editline] Got on my computer were I can search. Looks like a A3 Sportback. Across the pond they look different.
You can slide anything with the right handbrake action. I used to slide a huge Chevy Corsica around when I was racing. 90hp of pushrod inline 4 pot power. And, a few hundred to convert to manual? Maybe if half the stuff was given to you. Keep in mind it's not just a "bolt the tranny up" thing. You need a flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, transmission, new throwout bearing, slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch line plumbing, pedal setup for MT instead of AT, different driveshaft, Manual ECU, and you'll also have to alter the tunnel for the shifter. It's not a simple thing. It's a bitch.
It's not a simple thing. It's a bitch.
Thought so. I seriously considered buying an automatic 240 and later converting it. But there are places you can get the whole manual transmission, master/slave cylinder and other parts with it for a couple hundred. $300-500 around where I live. Other parts go aftermarket/Zilvia like the ECU
Lol, we put a V6H.O. badge on my friends mustangs driverside quarter panel And a GT badge on the passenger side And we're going to put a mustang horse pony emblem badge on the back where the GT badge was supposed to go. :v: the other day he put this... thing on the badge Them looks.
Carb leaking gas. That may be why it was running lean before. :v:
About the same issue here. *Wonder why my car is running rich and dieing allot* Pokes in VAG to check throttle body position. 30% Open OOPS
how did you poke into volkswagon audi group
how did you poke into volkswagon audi group
Some people call it the VAG of there cars because that's were all "morning after's" happen. For instance. The morning after I re coded my TCM the Transmission went into Limp mode. The morning after I checked if I had any Faults the coil pack decided to go out.
Looks like an audi a1
Yeah, but I don't really care for brand and such (right now), all I was wondering about was if that's a hatchback, sedan or estate :v:
I'd say hatchback.
