The Beetle lives! Filed the distributor breaker and it started right up! Only problem is, it runs like a dream when it's cold, but when it gets warm it can't idle, is hard to start and runs really rough. I'm thinking there's crap in the carb, so I'm gonna clean it. Anyone know what it could be? I've tried 3 ignition coils, and they all do the same, so it's not a problem there.
The ignition timing might be bad. The Golf I have had the same problem just opposite. Ran like a charm when it was warm but wouldn't idle when it was cold
how did you poke into volkswagon audi group
volkswagen audi group? :pwn:
Guess who just passed on his driving code's exam! OH YEAH BITCH. First try aswell! I got the max limit of wrong answers (3, if you get 4, you have to take it again later) but fuck it, I passed, and so did the 4 other students from my school. I can now start motherfucking driving lessons! I'll either drive an i30 or one of the newer Clios. I think I can also use an Ibiza, but I'd rather the Hyundai. Who cares anyway, I'm gonna drive for the first time! Whoooo!!
Drove my car for the first time in about a week yesterday as I've been away on a stag do. As soon as I pulled off some liquid started pissing out of the glove box area. Stopped and had a look and there was nothing in there, and it just smelled like water. I'm guessing the crazy amount of rain we've had lately has somehow formed a puddle in my engine bay near the windscreen or something. Pulling forward pushed it into my car. Can't say exactly as the car battery is in the way.
Woo I need to get a new Carb for my F100. I want to get a 4bbl but I don't really want to get less then my 8mpg I get now. I'm thinking about a Holley 2300 - 500 cfm. Time to save up I guess.
Thought so. I seriously considered buying an automatic 240 and later converting it. But there are places you can get the whole manual transmission, master/slave cylinder and other parts with it for a couple hundred. $300-500 around where I live. Other parts go aftermarket/Zilvia like the ECU
A clutch set costs ~$130, master cylinder is ~$25, slave cylinder is $15, throwout bearing is ~$25, a few quarts of 90w oil for the tranny ~$30 (Double that for syncromesh, which you should be using anyways), and you're $225 in on just the things you should be buying new. I doubt the clutch line plumbing, transmission, and flywheel are going to be $75. I wouldn't re-use anything I listed above if you're doing a conversion -- that's room for error, and potentially hazardous, but mostly just stupid, unless the parts can be vouched for really well. $500 I could see, if some stuff was given to you. But I doubt you'll get ahold of a very good tranny with a $500 budget.
Hey now i met this tranny in Atlantic city and she said $60.
I'm done with the movie from our trip to London! https://vimeo.com/44873533
The heat and humidity are making my plastic bits in my blazer's interior warp :(

Good thing i invested in a sun shield before this heat wave. With 15% tint windows and a sun shade, the interior of my car is like a cave
Good thing i invested in a sun shield before this heat wave. With 15% tint windows and a sun shade, the interior of my car is like a cave
tinting really that good for heat? the black interior of my car means it's a pain in the ass to drive I have a shade but since I haven't really driven since my oopsie I never really used it
Apparently the lighter a tint is the more it cools the interior. Mines 15% so it doesn't cool as well, but i can still feel the difference
I need help finding a good color for my Dart. It's dubbed project satan (the anti-Chrysler) after futureama and I need a really evil looking red that will go well with all the black the car will have. My dad suggests the red off of a keystone can but that seems to.. not red for me. No happy red, but also no super black red, need a good balance.
