You know the beetle I've got? Went out and tried it today, it won't even reach 100kp/h, and it's a 1600.
It won't rev in 3rd and 4th at all D:
Well it DOES have double digit horsepower...
60 hp should be able to get me past 100kp/h, I mean, the 1200 goes faster than that.
maybe someone left the gates open and all the horses escaped

Your car is what, 40 years old, and stock? It probably has half that by now.
Me and a friend were doing 80mph in his bettle. No bull. My phone and my cars Speedo sayed so!

Bah, cleaning the carb, maybe adjusting the valves and adjusting the ignition will bring some of them back (I hope)
bro sea foam bro
dont use gas just get seafoam injection bro
Attach a leaf blower to the carb for max boost.
Seafoam may as well be the snake oil of car fluids. It does fuck all.
Seafoam may as well be the snake oil of car fluids. It does fuck all.
I wouldn't say it does fuck all but it certainly doesn't do enough to justify its price
Not sure if anyone posted this yet, but....

I disagree. I had a friend with a 328i with the nastiest lifter tick, we seafomed his motor and the lifter tick completely disappeared. I'd been really skeptical about it before that point, but after hearing how nice his motor sounded after I did it to mine. Made a massive, and I mean massive difference to my idle. I used to sputter and pop while idling every once in a while, that completely went away and it hasn't done it sense. It's been 13,000 miles and counting. Besides, the smoke show is a lot of fun.

It's like 6 bucks a can?
My moms Mazda 626 is utter shit, it keeps having constant problems, today it has a really rough idle and is throwing error codes under acceleration. I was thinking it's a bad or fouled injector, because a similar problem came up before.
Evilskydiver recommends that I just seafoam it.

Seafoam is not bad it helped my pathfinders last engine, when it was on the way out.

There are cheaper and better alternatives
I love it when people says "What's that grinding noise?" "What was that bang?" and look at me shocked when I hit something with my hitch, I love my hitch for the numbers of times it saved my rear bumper from road & off road hazards.

"I need a valve adjustment, better cover it up with mystery oil."
Also, the cleaning properties can also be done by just taking a can of $3 carb+choke cleaner (Throttlebody cleaner is the same shit, don't get duped) and just cleaning your shit once in a while.
Otherwise, come on, just keep up on maintenance. It's not worth tempting your vehicle's fate.
Urgg, me and my friend are trying to order our superchargers this weekend, we finally have 4000$ saved for the two kits and porting work, but god, it's so long getting answers. Pisses me off.

I was actually about to make one, only rather than that rotor I'd put some kind of engine bay pic w/ no engine.
Seeing as I'm about to get a build going for a new one and mine isn't running atm. So thanks for saving me the trouble :D
[editline]29th June 2012[/editline]
Although the rotors aren't the problem, it's the housing design. I've seen and heard of far more cases of a blown coolant seal like mine than i have an apex seal breaking. Only way you do that is by running 30 pounds of boost on a stock engine, and I'd like to see a piston engine do that and last more than a week either, on a stock build.
Considering a rat rod project..

Please don't use a perfectly good car to make it a rusty hunk of junk.
Instead, find a rusty hunk of junk and work from there.

Just trying to explain that rotaries aren't as shit as everyone thinks they are. They aren't going to fail unless you stress them the same as you would stress a piston engine.
I dont know how many of you have been in this position before but as a person, it sucks.
Have you ever had to be 'that guy' at funerals. The man who doesnt cry, has to constantly be around others, the one who has to carry the [moderately heavy] casket around? Yes? Thats me. Im not emotional but god damnit. Being one of only a few people who dont cry at these types of things is terrible.
Im sorry this isnt AA related but my family's shit has hit the fan.

I'm going to make it a classy hunk of junk.
Just really, really, really low.
