I went on youtube to see how people use simple green to clean their engine bays or whatever, and am trying to find a good slacker way to get everything clean without breaking/damaging anything. I was surprised at how extremely lengthy and random the predicted search options were... I've never seen anything like it on youtube.
I thought I was the only heavyweighter here in AA :v:
lol nope i'm 6'6" 315 lbs
By a jet helmet I thought he meant either http://simpsonraceproducts.com/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=10421&sort= or http://simpsonraceproducts.com/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=10424&sort=
Simpson helmets are shitty since they sold the company to some Asian owner, the helmets' quality have lowered alot.
ive learned to identify cope headlight patterns so i can tell if someones a cop or not at night. pretty handy
It's always hilarious to see the undercover ones. If they don't have an antenna, they'll have the mirror on the driver's side, or the light bar will be fucking obvious. The only thing that makes them not obvious is the color and the lack of markings. [editline]6th July 2012[/editline] Also how do you guys think a very, very light smoking on my lights would look with my red car? Plus black rims. I'd tint the windows too, get a black and red thing going on. Is that too much like "teenage dumbass with a car and money to burn"?
Guys there is better stuff than Simple Green. Super Clean. When I have to clean under my car, fenders dirt and crap from 14 years. Spray that crap on, let sit for a few seconds. Get a scrubber and rinse. WARNING THIS CRAP WILL EAT THREW ALMOST ANYTHING IF LEFT ON SOMETHING TO LONG. Crap I need to make a thread on how to clean your car using a bunch of harmful chemicals.
I love super clean, use that shit for EVERYTHING. It's DESTROYS aluminum so watch out but for everything elce it kicks ass, works awesome on tires too. Not too friendly to breath in though when you spray it, makes me cough every time.
It happens to me way too often. 50 in a 35, 95 in a 65, 75 in a 50 (work zone), I've had all kinds of pants-shittingly scary encounters. I need to stop speeding so much
NEVER.STOP.SPEEDING.
Do high performance tires have low tread intentionally to help with grip or something? I've got the Pirellis P Zeros and they look low but I've heard they're super compacted to be stickier. Is this true?
Do high performance tires have low tread intentionally to help with grip or something? The smaller the tread, the more the tire is in contact with the ground, and thus, more grip in good conditions. Tall tread allows the tire to kinda move from side to side in turns, almost like a paintbrush would (assume the handle is the center of the wheel, with the brush being the tire); not a good thing for performance cars, hence why the tread is really low and close to the core of the tire.

I was tired of my bumper looking like shit after the accident. So I tore it off. And bought a replacement beam for it from the junkyard.
Any ideas what it could be? It wants to shut itself off if I let the gas go. Runs great when cold, idles great, goes fast, doesn't cough or anything. When it gets warmed up it won't idle, runs rough (coughs), is slow and has rubbish acceleration. I took the carb off of it and I'm gonna clean it tomorrow.
I fucking hate insurance. I mean, I REALLY fucking hate insurance. You get into one accident and they have you by the balls for the next four years. What a load of shit.
I'm thinking exhaust. Possibly an O2 sensor or the cat?
You can't be serious, it's from 1973, it has neither of those things.

I want to SC my 4.6L 99 Cobra. It's bone stock, and I know some of the internals need to be forged. I know nothing about brands, but know Vortech sells a kit. Any suggestions?
You can't be serious, it's from 1973, it has neither of those things.
Right, sorry. Any blockages in your 6 inches of exhaust pipe?
Right, sorry. Any blockages in your 6 inches of exhaust pipe?
Nope, not that I can see. It's really loud since one of the pipes has broken off just before it gets to the muffler.

Could be something to with timing or the ignition. Bad wires or timing that is too far advanced can cause a car to run fine at startup and then issues at running temp.

[editline]6th July 2012[/editline] But yeah, I'm gonna check the timing.
I finally talked to the guy with the dart I want to buy, and oh boy is she ratty. The transmission or the rear end is piled up, it has a sunroof, was hit in the rear, cheesy 1970s headliner. If its the rear end then I can use the one from my dart but it's probably the transmission. He says you can put it in drive and the driveshaft spins but it won't move, but if you put it in reverse the car will move. Has some old cragar SS rims on it now which is what i was going to put on it, comes with rallye rims, and has a 1967 interior with non matching seats (I can use my other ones). I'm thinking $750 for the car and I can make some money off it. He is busy and said that I can look at it on either Sunday or Monday. Sun roof is the one major thing I don't like, same goes for the rear but I don't have any pictures of the damage so I don't know how bad it is
eee my car is outside and it's raining i hope the seal on my door is still good enough
