What would be a good first car? Obviously there's a Civic, which I really don't see anything too wrong with it, but I want to explore options. Preferences: 2-door coupe or 3-door hatchback manual gearbox decent fuel economy (~30-40 MPG) reliable extensive aftermarket doesn't handle like a pile of bricks goes faster than a pile of bricks
are you paying for insurance and/or gas?
Gas yes, insurance I don't know haven't talked that over with my parents yet. Also I'll mention that I'm open to small trucks, as in crew cab and short bed. No extended cab with dualies and smokestacks, jacked up a foot.
I got in my new fog lights bulbs, 6000k ones. But how in the hell, one time I open, they are okay, the other time, they flash in the same pattern as a police car.

The satellite radio has been dead in my car for four months now and I know of nobody who still sold the original integrated units. Do you have a engine code?I could tell you if parts are expensive for it.

I like my AA bros
AA's the bomb. They help me with my drin... Oh wait. :v:
I got some more fine cleaning done in my truck... fuck that shit.. the center console was so dirty
My grandmother-in-law is on her way with my GTO. Should be here in three or four hours. I can't sit still.
Waiting for parts to get here still.. Hate waiting for shipping but it sucks paying twice as much to go from 5 day to 3 day shipping. Thinking I'm going to go out and track down plugs and wires for the beetle tomorrow, maybe mess with setting the valves or something, too. It just sucks not being able to really make any forward progress until Tuesday and even then they didn't ship my cylinder head temperature gauge so I don't really want to drive it much for fear of nuking the engine. Whatever, once I get the new axle boots on, the tranny full o' fluid and the front brakes done I'm gonna go ruin my clutch in an empty parking lot learning to drive the thing.. I've driven friend's standard cars a couple times but not very long so I still suck at driving standard, lol. I'll bring my infrared temp gun just for giggles, see if I can get an idea of how hot the poor thing is running.
Wow it must be hard to pay for shipping on parts. Im going threw a local repair shop that specialized in euro cars. Overnight-ed parts for free. But I've been looking, been looking on my car. I need almost every single hose. All of them are soft and bubbly at the ends. FUUU OIL COVERED RUBBER HOSES Also found a great project car, I've been knowing about it for the last year. Were I get my parts/were I got my car serviced. Lays a 04 2.7T Red Audi Sedan with a blown automatic 5spd tranny. I "could" spend the 2k on the car, put a 2k tranny + diff's and stuff. and turn around and sell it for 6k or spend another 4-6k and making it a Stage III car. Ohhhh and it has coilovers on it already + 18's :3 [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Audi/2012-07-27%2011.10.31.jpg[/t] [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Audi/2012-07-27%2011.11.34.jpg[/t] hnnnnnng
I almost died in a car accident today. I just got back from the hospital, only injury is a bruised cheek. my friend who was in the back seat was ejected from the car and run over by it and was airlifted to Fairfax hospital. I will forever trust my gut when it comes to peoples' driving skills. I knew the first time I rode with him he would wreck, I just didn't know he would go 60+ in a 35 on a SOAKED road at that and total his dad's car just to show how good of a shitty driver he is. If there had been any traffic in the oncoming lane I would have been killed. I'm just glad none of us were seriously injured. and I'm still waiting for my grandmother-in-law to arrive.
So your friend was ejected, ran over, airlifted, but not seriously injured? Hopefully he is alright though. Not trying to sound like a sarcastic dick. edit VV he said 'none of us'.
What the fuck man, everyone's dieing/getting injured. Shit comes in threes. [editline]28th July 2012[/editline] Condolences though, hope your buddy's alright. [editline]28th July 2012[/editline] No, he has no serious injuries, but his friend got air lifted.
The driver had no injuries. As we rolled, I hit my head on the driver's shoulder. My friend that was ejected is ready for discharge, but has gotten 10 stitches for a gash on his leg. They airlifted him for the fact that he was ejected as a precautionary measure.
Some middle-aged man initiated a race with me when I was going to the mall earlier. 8th Gen red civic coupe vs 7th Gen red civic coupe(me). Safe to say, he won, but it would have been closer if I started accelerating earlier, he was passing me when I downshifted to 3rd and started accelerating so he already had like 15mph on me.
VV he said 'none of us'.
Derp. Don't know how I missed that part.
Well, motherfucker. This Blazer is something I'll tell yea. Today the damn thing starts squeaking when I turn right, and only right and just for kickers - its not the Powersteering. THEN, I know my brakes and tires need replaced but my fucking alignment goes off... the thing wonders to the left know without some correction and FINALLY, my check engine light came on again - all fluids are good so this is bugging me. (might be related to issue #1, or just the O2 sensor going ape shit because of the cat)
