Got this on my youtube, figured I might share it, it was, normally pressing on the gas, with the spun rod bearing. (Nothing relaly impressive at all, just showing the knock you can painfully hear behind the whine and after.) Now I need to make a real video without knocking once the new engine is on, pain to be without my car urg.
Today, I've realized just how much I hate filthy cars. I've cleaned cars today that have had tons of sand/dirt in them, and trash just laying about. Fuck those people for making my job that much harder. I mean seriously, how does it get that bad and why has your lazy ass not been able to vacuum your car at least once a month? [editline]25th August 2012[/editline] Also, today I saw a ford fusion with flame decals on the side. When it drove past me, it sounded like an angry bee and I just starting cracking up
I used to go to the car wash once a week and pay 21 bucks for there best cleaning on the spot cleaning service. Then i started doing it every 2-3 weeks cause i noticed i could literally see my entire top of my dash in the reflection of my windshield. Everything was slipperly as fuck from armorall. But damn was my car clean. And the funny part is people look at me why do i wash an accord with a fucked up clear coat and some rust.
Can anyone explain to me why I've seen 3 BMWs in the past few months with Euro tags on? Is this some stupid fad? One of the drivers was some mid-40s hippy woman singing loudly to some old tunes. One didn't even have a state front plate which is required here.
woop, I finally confirmed that the Cressida 5M Oil pan is the same as the Sup 5M oil pan. Gonna head out to pick n pull, might grab a couple parts for my truck too.
Check Pick n pull website for MKII supras, none. Check for Cressidas, 6 of them all at the pick n pull right down the street. Score! Drive to pick n pull ask the guy at the desk about them...aaaand they're at the other pick n pull, in Portland. I did grab a throttle body and some trim pieces for my truck though. Did you know the 1989 K1500 glove box lid is about an inch longer than the 1988 K1500 glove box lid?
>take jeep for some light muddin, with the fenderflares off >SHOWERS OF MUD FROM THE HEAVENS It was glorious, really improved my mudcoating abilities.
I know Dale died when before they were shipped and all, but I was referencing that the SS got the LS4, but I guess that wasn't until 2006. Too bad, hell of an engine. 303hp/323tq. The 3800 is an ~alright~ engine but only a step above the 60 degree V6. Even the supercharged version only put out 240hp/280tq. :(
In 2003 The Monte and The new Impala SS (and i believe even the GP GTP) were supposed to get the LS1. A single '03 Impala SS was built with one but Im thinkin There must have been concerns with the 4T65-E (in general an ok transaxle, but cant barely handle 3800 S/C being driven hard), Since they canned the Impala SS and sold off the single proto-type car (Some guy put the LS1 in his Grand prix). Instead in '04 the Impala SS and Monte SS Got the GTP and Regal GS's L67. With the Rollout of the 06 models, the Impala and Monte SS, Grand prix GXP and the Buick LaCross Super all recieved the LS4. Im debating whether i should CSC/Turbo my 3900 (since they scale nicely with boost) or just get an LS4 when my tranny finishes dying. Factory 4T65-E are junk, but one company builds a bulletproof rebuild. Woulda bought an SS in the first place, but I couldn't find any 2009s and the rest were trashed '06s. After the Impala SS and LaCross Super were canned in 2009 though, the LS4 was discontinued... I've offically owned too many and know too much about the Shitty W-Body Platform.

1jz swap do it mk2 weight a fuck ton less than mk3s and I love my 1jz
the v6 was pitiful in performance, like 120 or less hp and i wouldn't exactly trust it to be reliable either i mean really as long as the cars taken care off, it can always be reliable but if you're getting a camaro, its gatta be damn fast. i love third gens
Look at the Buick Grand National, they found a use for the v6, you just need to turbocharge it. 305s are fucking garbage though. Head gaskets go in like < 45000 miles and they make no power at all.
my friend's buying my 240SX so I've been looking at some cars on craigslist and I found something perfect mid engine, rear wheel drive supercharged legendary toyota reliability dirt cheap http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/3220764533.html

so some of you might remember that I posted (like a month ago) that I was going to go out and take a look at an old 'Benz, which I did. And it just developed into something quite a bit more serious. so here's the thing. I'll pretty hopefully have the money relatively soon for it, thing doesn't come too cheap. was looking on the website were the guy had it for sale and bam, it was gone. had a link archived of it on my phone, so I looked it up and above the ad on the website, it said "this ad is inactive - probably because the owner is finishing the sale". turned into full on panic-mode and called the owner up if it was still for sale. luckily, he said "yeah, just had to renew the ad. hey, if you still want it, I can just keep it off the website until you have the money. it won't get sold relatively fast and you need to sell these old cars to the right people, so I'm fine with that". guy's amazingly nice. Car's completely restored and all, only stuff to be done is minor interior stuff (rearseats need to be fixed up, so does driver seat a bit. dashboard has a minor crack. no rust, everything mechanical is new. here's the pictures that I took of it (had to censor them licenseplates, car isn't really for sale anymore (if you know what I mean) so I don't really feel good with posting some dudes car on a forum)). [t]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8303/7759046552_ce523c7f87_h.jpg[/t] [t]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8422/7759048736_04aa837df0_h.jpg[/t] [t]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8296/7759047498_e91775208a_h.jpg[/t] [t]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8282/7862458834_8f2aa318ec_b.jpg[/t] [t]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8288/7759247784_62aa6f125a_h.jpg[/t] do have some video of it, however not really going to post anything more considering it's still not my car. anything you guys think I need to know before using a shitton of money on this? 'deffo worth it though, guy has it for sale for ~16,500 USD, however he could still sell it for ~25,000 USD. guy doesn't know this car is rare as fuck in this condition (manual, 2.8L from 70').
fuck you jack. fuck rust :(
fuck you jack. fuck rust :(
rust is an amazing pain in the arse in these cars. heh, luckily this guy used a ton of money on rust protection. never driven in winter after restoration, never smelled salt. lots of PAVA. been on the lookout for 9 months now, only seen 1 in blue and it wasn't in this good condition. this might just be the finest 280 SE in denmark. woo.
does it have the horn that the 600 grosser has?
does it have the horn that the 600 grosser has?
yeah, it would if danish regulations didn't ban the horn (apparently, multiple-toned horns are banned here). It has this other, pretty high pitched loud horn which sounds funny. [editline]edit[/editline] that said, I'm still looking for an original horn for it. oh and here's pretty much how it sounded at 2:00. that sounds more like the one fitted in the one I looked at. It is technically original in the car, but I'd rather have the one it was manufactured with. now you probably realize why I want the original horn for it, which was pretty much the 600's, just not nearly as loud.
get the fully fledged 600 horn and dont tell anyone then honk in a parking garage and pretend to be jeremy :D
My dad is considering buying this: http://reddeer.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-1992-Dodge-Stealth-R-T-Coupe-W0QQAdIdZ403318718 Pretty much looks like this: Nice rims and lowering the car makes it look a lot better If we get it I'll try my very best to get it going but my dad is buying it to turn it into a race car so a lot of the stuff would be thrown out.
fucking a GT500's sound fucking nice, some kid had one at the wawa, was revving it and taking people for rides in it. (didnt want to ride in it) then some guy in a auto chally RT pulled up like 4 people shouted MUSTANG WOULD SMOKE THE FUCKIN RT HAWWWWWW challenger guy looked upset. We were going to do some drag racan but due to us all being poor (no gas in our tanks) and it starting to rain + the lights on our road being out, we decided not to. Oh also i think everyone in my town hates me (coming home at 6AM with no muffler....

Waiting one more week to purchase ARP headstuds/mainstuds now. My cooling fan blades and alum reservoir tank is shipping. Need some timing chain components, a new OEM fan clutch and maybe some new steering wheel components and my 240 will be back on the road. I want to get a side-mount front license plate too. Every minute I work, is every minute towards that feeling of driving your car when it's fixed
holy shit, my 1jz doesn't like 35+ C temperature when stuck in traffic because of construction. Normally it stay at 92C no matter what, now I saw it creep to 96c and I put the heater full blast, it helped lol
My car never goes above 92c and I've sat in traffic in 95F weather. It just drains my electrical system, bad...
I have a crank fan and two aux fans. I just had to replace the crank fan clutch because it was getting above normal operating temps which is exactly 87.5 C at least the fan clutch works properly again
Welp, reading up on my CB etiquette, finally got a CB radio installed. Just gotta learn how to properly use it now. Then I'll cruise around and listen to truckers all day, yesss

Also would like a radio were I could talk with police, ham, and regular hand held multi channel hand helps.
Yeah, it's pretty great. Should put one on your Cabrio once you get it going. I am going to relocate my antenna to the stock antenna location since my stock antenna has been relocated from there. It'll make a nice spot for a long whip antenna. Haven't got to use mine any yet, been hot so I have been inside. But I got it working. It's an old Cobra box.

Haha. I know, I know, still haven't picked a CB handle.
