Oh woah that is identical to Borellus's dad's Grand Cherokee.
FYI Grand Cherokee is shit compared to the original, throwing that out there.
Nissan unveilled their V8 supercar engine to come into next years season, should spice up the competition like they did 20 years ago with 'Godzilla' (more like destroy).

For the past twenty years its been a Ford vs Holden battle and its boring as shit. This engine should make around 600hp and its something like 20kgs lighter than the Ford and Holden Chevy based engines. Can't wait, its also going into the Nissan Altima body for racing.

Fuck that LS swap, RZ is where it's at

the amount of money to make a rz powerful and reliable is too much compared to a simple cammed ls1
No way. 3RZ takes boost from stock VERY well. A set of studs and a decent kit and you can push 350~ on a bone stock bottom end. With a good set of rods and pistons you can get far more out of it.
The LS takes boost well in stock form but there is no way you're getting a LS swap for as cheap as a 3RZ engine, and the 3RZ bolts right to a 22RE box. It's the swap I wanted to do in my Celica before I finally just decided I want a V8.
3RZ rods are very close to the thickness of LS1 rods. It's ridiculous how overbuilt the bottom end is. Same with the LS. If I really wanted to still go 3RZ there is one for sale on my local CL for $200 right now. I have the money, but I'm really wanting to go with a 302 instead.
Right now I'm trying to save up my money to buy a certain yellow hotrod.
I just make it so the gas pedal goes further down and then the engine operates at 120% max.
Tighten a couple bolts and the engine's as reliable as can be.

3rz suffers from the same plauge as the 7m
bhg and RK. I do not recommand but it's your call
Anything suffers from BHG if you don't stud and check surfaces. It was a terrible problem with D15/D16 engines too, but now we're making up to 800hp out of those little things.
As far as RK, if you're not at least running ARP rod bolts and checking tolerances of bearings on a good build, you're doing it wrong (especially for high boost), if you do both of those things you should never ever have a problem unless you do something wrong. Even still, the 3RZ does NOT have a RK problem, people who think that a long stroking engine can hit 8k have a RK problem.
They can take 6000 RPM all day. The guys trying to run them through the roof are what's killing them.

jz's man. 800hp out of a oem crated longblock :)
also I messaged you on facebook, what's up with you DAWG
I don't get messages unless you are my friend apparently. Went through the same thing earlier.
Also I6 ew
Just kidding. The best engines are I6s. JZ and RB.
Speaking of which, there's an RB25DET on CL for $2000 with harness, tranny, everything, would buy it for the Celica if I hadn't decided on a SBF and didn't need to save my money to buy the yellow bitch I would definitely pick it up.
