I'd cream my fucking pants if I got that vending job.
>finish work at 2 every day
>swanky amounts of extra dosh to fix the fuck out of the jeep then build motor some
>able to set money aside to be able to afford to ship a parts truck from further out west to NJ
feels bad man.

Fuck wrong thread. what am i doing
Oh, look at that. Flat battery. I doubt that's just random.
Which is the most likely diode that blew up? Pretty much everything in the car was disconnected last night to let me work with the makeshift fuse.
I'm looking for a sporty car in the US with a manual and seating for 4 people. I was looking pretty seriously at a Mazda RX-8, good idea?

If you want something practical, no.

I've heard the RX-8 isn't that great, despite how nice it looks. Four seat sports cars- Mustang and Camaro are the first cars that come to mind, although I know there's more. It also depends on what time frame and price range you're looking at.

Less than 10K, more like 6K. Any time after the 90's really. I'm looking for something that I can drive people around in if need be, but I also want a car that's good on gas and fun to drive. I really like the 2011 v6 Mustang, but its just too damn expensive.
[editline]14th September 2012[/editline]
Just for reference, my current ride is an 00' sable. so anything other than that is really an upgrade. Just a manual v6, or 4 cylinder would be nice. I've been looking at older Nissan's but haven't found too much.
Good on gas and fun to drive- have you looked at hot hatches? Stuff like the Golf GTi, or a WRX or Lancer Evo?
Well... I don't know what year, but the Nissan 240sx is a four seater, you can get it in a manual, and it's a 4-banger engine. It's got a pretty big trunk too!
Trans Am. Answer is always a Trans Am

If you want an amazing driver's car, you can't go wrong with a RX-8 or RX-7. The problem with them is that they are expensive to maintain and the engine doesn't last.

I have been looking into these actually! 240sx and the 300zx mainly. The problem is that they're all 'riced' up or in non-running condition. arggg I'll keep looking though, would really like a clean 240.

I have looked at WRX's, there are a few around here, but they usually run into the 12K range. I'll look into the others though, thanks!
Also NA, as much as I love Trans Am's I just can't afford the gas. My v6 sable is already gulping enough as it is.
dunno about the price, but Evos and Imprezas.

whoops, should've refreshed before posting.
Back from work, goddamn VSS going out are annoying, erratic random shifting (autotragic :v), no ideas what the real speed I am going. Urhggg. Gonna go see my mech soon today.
Also got my supercharged decals.

if you need to drive people around 4 doors is a must
Overall I prefer the uses of a 4door over a 2door, so easy to put my stuff in the back seats with doors. And even better when you need to haul 5 people with 5 bigass 100lbs hiking bags. :v:
silly people.
backseats are for subwoofer and amp
hatch is for targa
:)

I'm 17 (18 in 50 days) and I'm getting a wagon (Volvo 745 to be precise) as my first car.
But then again, I'm a carpenter, so I'll need it :v:

that's why you have weekend warrior, grocery getter and workmule.
In my case
warrior: supra 1j
GG: corolla 2002
workmule: 4runner 97 mt 5vzfe
Warrior : Audi A6
GG : 76 Beetle
Workmule : 94 Surbubran 1500
Little out of balance but meh.
I've never driven a Bettle before. Are they nice?
