I'm sorry but, did you say he's going to charge YOU more for HIM wrecking it?
No he didn't
BUT, good thing is that he will replace the door for free, and even lower the price a bit more because of the damage to the fender (?couldn't find correcter word?)
Mint bodied car are the best thing you can get. when you get wrecked/crashed/repaired car, you get small fucking probleme everywhere and it's annoying as fuck... I need a brand new car
Well of course it's gonna be tiny things to do then and then, the car is older than me!
Mint bodied car are the best thing you can get. when you get wrecked/crashed/repaired car, you get small fucking probleme everywhere and it's annoying as fuck... I need a brand new car
How boring. Then you have nothing to work with
Yeah, that And I wanna learn how to work on my car, in the "learning by doing" way
God damn its so easy to piss my friend off, theres 3 hondas in his driveway, 4 if i drive the civic there. on the way to his house in a different car somone says 'hey theres FO hondas in your driveway brouhohu!' 'mine is the only REAL honda there, the rest are fake suv JUNK' and then the last minute of the car ride was full of delicious butttears for all
How boring. Then you have nothing to work with
i disagree. i dont enjoy having to be constantly working on my car
Agreed with Nuclear. I do love a bit of work there and there, but constant? No thanks. I started with this 2000 Grand Prix, and the next step is gonna be a 2009 G8 GT. Two year +/- are going to be enough with a 12-13 years old car. But I'm still gonna keep it as a weekend warrior. And let's face it, I work 135km away from home, highway driving, a 6.0L LS engine ain't going to be much more worse than my supercharged 3800 in term of fuel economy, 270km a week for work, costs me about 35$ right now, with the 4.4L bimmer it was around 42$, and with that, prolly going to be around the same. So it's not going to change much in my life. And why would I get a G8 GT, because it's my realistic dream car, and because I'm not afraid of buying a still warrantied car with a ls.
No he didn't
Ah, sorry, I had just woke up. Thanks for clearing that up, haha.
i disagree. i dont enjoy having to be constantly working on my car
i love having a car i can constantly work on.. which is why i have 2 vehicles, my 05 silverado 2500 that is fuckin' mint and doesn't/shouldn't need much of anything but tune-ups the entire time i have it and a 67 volkswagen that basically always has something that needs to get done but doesn't necessarily need it done to be drivable edit: i'd rather have 5 shit mobiles than one brand new car.. i mean new cars are nice and all but i just love the raw feel of old cars a lot more than i love the level of luxury that has permeated the auto industry, most of the time you can barely hear the engine and the feel of everything is just so disconnected. it's boring. i hop in the VW and at almost all times i have the gut feeling that i'm it, there's no computer between me and the throttle, no hydraulics between me and the clutch - if i fuck up, there's no traction control or ABS brakes.
Who ever mentioned that some bodywork would be constant work. What the hell
Having to throw a few body panels on is no big deal. My Civic has had the entire front clip replaced some time in its life (and was beat again when I bought it), and I've had no problems with it. I still need to buy some fenders eventually but I just haven't had the time/money nor do I care at this point. I don't have to constantly work on my car. I work on my car because I like to. If I wanted to, I could have left it in its stock, 4-speed, D15 configuration like when I bought it three years ago. But I haven't. Because that is boring.
Is it true the coasting down hills etc in neutral doesn't actually save you any fuel?
Is it true the coasting down hills etc in neutral doesn't actually save you any fuel?
Yes In neutral the engine is disengaged completely from the wheels and will just idle to keep itself from stalling (obviously) so therefore it uses fuel like when you've just started it up
So a smooth driving style is all you can really do? And turning off at lights I guess?
i just dont like always having a list of shit i need to get done on my car and im always worried if gonna make it to school or work today my jeep ALWAYS had something it needed fixing and i didnt much care for that. my mustang has zero issue and i love that. working on cars is fun yeah but not my DD. little things? sure, like replacing a headlight or maybe fixing door handles idk. but shit like with my jeep, 2 freeze plugs blew off the block? fuck that i dont wanna deal with that
whenever I hit fuel cut I imagine my ecu going: "tarbos, wut r u doing, tarbos, stahp!"
My PCM likes to go into a a "Give me more air or I stop giving gas!" when I barely touch the pedal, it wants more air not just a sample :v:

Unless you don't have a floor because of rust you can always drive, let alone always get where you want to if you just have some unfinished bodywork done.
but most people want a car with doors and a paint job on it my jeep had constant mechanical problems, im not referencing that guys post anymore just in general
Mint bodied car are the best thing you can get. when you get wrecked/crashed/repaired car, you get small fucking probleme everywhere and it's annoying as fuck...
bit less actually because cold engine uses more fuel :v:
Just giving him an example of idling

I worked on multiple project car and I had experienced having to deal with car that has been repaired after a wreck in the past, it does suck massive dicks and are money pitholes. now, keep it to yarrself when you don't know 'bout it
People crash many car at montreal and around? :v:
friends that track their cars, yes it will happen
You guys are lucky to have tracks without needing to drive a minimum of 1h30 :c
Bought new tires. Michelin. Totally worth the $600.
I need new tires for my car, but winter's coming soon, so gonna put back my Blizzak's in a about 3 weeks. So I'm fine. And I don't know yet if by the time I'll put new summer tires I'll be buying a G8 or not.
