For the record and proof, here is my friend's Cressida. To be honest it looks pretty good I could see how the kid bought it. (Kid if you are reading this I'm really sorry.)

Replacement wheel comes in on the 27th, so I can drive my MR2 to work Friday.

And after doing a bit more solo practice with my brothers GTi I'm really looking forward to it.
Spotted a Nissan C210 Skyline yesterday fairly uncommon, it was auto :(.

drove ye old carro again today
battery performed fine
if there's no problems then I won't give a fuck. Next thing I want is an alignment and timing belt changed
also I have a weird rattle when it's about to shift. Anyone know what that is? Cat maybe? Definitely related to RPMs
[editline]24th September 2012[/editline]
Should specify the source of the noise isn't the engine - more coming from the right side of the car, sort of near the dash, but lower. Not sure what's under there. Pretty sure the tranny's on the driver's side.
Maybe it's heat shields? They used to rattle around my cat and on my Exhaust manifolds.
Check your flex pipe by your cat converter. I had this rattle that would only appear at 2 thousand rpms, checked under my car and turns out it was a couple of rings on my flex pipe that had rusted off and were hanging there, snipped them off and the rattling stopped.
[QUOTE=Siminov;37787676]How come, i've only heard about good things with T5s?[/QUOTE]
i have a t5 and its shit get a t56 or something interedasting
bleheheh
i hate waiting for stuff to ship. hopefully going to get the Bug running again tomorrow (fucking $7 ignition rotor, fucking fuck) assuming my package shows up with my new coil + ignition rotor tomorrah. going to be like 3 weeks until the guy even GETS my thermostat so it'll probably be the beginning of November before I even have my thermostat/flaps setup. whatever, as long as i get it before there's any accumulation of snow it doesn't make too much of a difference although it would have been nice to know there would be a 3 week waiting time beforehand
finally got mah chainsaw running too (not a car but whatever it has an engine, it's close, right?). it needs some tweaking, but at least it's finally running. it's a monster of a saw, i usually run a ~10-12lb saw with a 16" blade and that's a killer after running it all day (bent over maneuvering over a big ass pile of logs) so this beast weighing in at probably closer to 20-25lbs with a 20" blade is going to be a real bear to run all day all bent over and shit. all in all, it's a ~$400+ saw that i invested ~$175-$200 in and i got to tinker with it. Can't go wrong, it's practically brand new (especially with a new piston, cylinder, flywheel, crankshaft and clutch that i put on it) and it's a Husqvarna so it's a damn good saw
edit:
if i had ze money and desire, i'd totally get a set of the original VW keys straight from Volkswagen in Germany for the beetle. All i have is a cheap-o aftermarket key that's got the same shape but doesn't have the VW punched out like original keys.

They not expensive I saw them for 6$ somewere..... I'll hit you up when I find it.
Found two more rod bearings destroyed, but the good news is my block goes off to the machine shop later this week to get checked over. If all goes good, I start ordering my rotating assembly.

Yeah, I think it's cat related. It's probably not tranny related because it persists at certain RPMs and not certain gears, and it's about coming from that area (or system.) I'll see if I can't replicate it. I'll rev it before I go for a drive next time and see if it happens when stationary.
[editline]24th September 2012[/editline]
Plus I'm pretty sure the cat's never been replaced. At 16 years it's probably time to at least check the system

You exhaust will resonate at certain rpms which can rattle, although it would be different things if it's clutch or speed dependent. It could also possibly be from worn motor mounts but as long as you can't pull on your motor and rock it back and forwards by hand very easily it's probably not those.
I would also probably suggest having new mounts thrown in when you do a timing belt or clutch since those are a pain in the ass. I didn't and found out the hard way after breaking my amp fuse behind my intake manifold. After that I also started noticing how much the stick moved around when I let off the gas. Oh, that and the fact I could move the motor by hand more than it moved from revving it..
Here's my keys also.

Those are the keys to my Porsche :v:
i have a 4 speed autotragic so it's either tranny or exhaust
like I said though I think if it happens when the car it parked or not will really help determine what it is
i swear to god if I see the word "autotragic" in this thread ever again i am going to flip my shit so badly
but autotragics are awful :v:
Although Valon Kyre's dad has a twin turbo drag car with an automatic that runs a 6.5 second quarter mile or something.
everyone was calling it autotragic on the last page so I'd figure I'd join in on the fun even though I love every bit of my car
What's wrong with jokingly calling them "Autotragics"? It's not like this is Wikipedia or something. Nothing really wrong with an Automatic though, it's just some people prefer Manuals.
Had muh first auto class today, teacher is p cool lol.
Man I wish I had taken an Auto class in Highschool...Fuckin JROTC was a big waste of time.
