That's a pretty sweet commercial
Tried several locations that are supposed to be "The lowest insurance areas in the UK" And they won't insure me because "Due to the car's high performance, we regret that we are unable to provide cover at this time." This is with my stock 1988 Honda CRX. I feel really sorry for you guys. Even back when I still had two speeding tickets on my record my hatch was like $76 a month through Progressive (Or ~300 something if I paid 6 months at a time, ultimately around 700 a year).
$120 for me for liability insurance with Progressive :v: Probably cause I'm 17, should drop a little when I turn 18 in a couple months
LV refuses to believe my truck exists.

My parents sold the Durango today for 3,000. I'm gonna miss that suv, it was my first vehicle. I love my honda (and have more fun with it), but the durango always had a special place in my heart. Plus, just look at that styling! That thing looks like a fucking panther; easily the best looking american suv IN MY OPINION. also, it was the top level trim, with leather seats, 4wd, 5.9l v8, and every other option except the side steps (not too good looking anyway)
I was riding the bus home from the city today and I started wondering, Why do they bother making cars more aerodynamic, electric, and economical when buses drink up more gasoline than a Hummer H2? This fucker: is nowhere near to being aerodynamic or economical. It has to carry 100 to 500 people everyday and 1/3rd of the people onboard are fat fucks that make the bus heavier than the fucking moon. Seriously, Scania, or MAN, or anyother company that makes public transport, start making your shit more aerodynamic and with an electric engline or get your bullshit off the road and let us,who drive our own cars, save some fucking money and hear our engines roar for many years to come!
bendy buses are fun when you stand in the bendy bit, we went on one in spain [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] buses MIGHT use more gas I don't know, but they carry a lot more people than a hummer
bendy buses are fun when you stand in the bendy bit, we went on one in spain [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] buses MIGHT use more gas I don't know, but they carry a lot more people than a hummer
An average diesel bus gets 6mpg on average with an average load (Around 50-70%). This means it can carry around 110 people and still get 6mpg. Nearly 20x the passengers at just more than half the fuel efficiency. (Hummer H2 gets around 9-11mpg). That's pretty efficient imo.
I took the Racing Puma up to Nottingham today to see Eldude the Alcon brake guru for it's annual brake overhaul: I got done: both front callipers stripped down and cleaned out New brake pads Suspension arm refurb New top mount rubbers new full front powerflex bushes It feels like a new car already with all that lot done, now just some new tyres on the front and it's set for the first track days of the year!
I've always gone by miles on my trip. I know when I'm approaching 300 it's time to fill up.
Why is it that every car I've ever bought( all two of them...) has a broken Trip? [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] If you want public transportation to be more efficient, then start giving them more money. :v:

Or it becomes too long to drive without huge amounts of planning. Around here, the buses rarely go faster than 50mph, and they're effectively constantly stopping and going, so aerodynamics won't make much of an impact on how good their gas mileage is. They may get shitty MPG, but they also carry dozens of people - it's why public transport is so much more efficient (gas wise) than personal cars.
Pretty much hit it on the head. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline]

That thing is really sweet. I wish we had something/I could afford something like that over here in the US. Have you taken a video of what it sounds like?
Not sure where to post this so I'll throw it on here. Basically i got everything done today. This video was basically open header. I'm obviously not running it like that now but just wanted to hear how it sounded. Way too loud. (Now that everything is bolted up it sounds orgasmic, but i run into my usual problem: nothing high enough quality to record it with. Sorry) Also got some pictures after going through the car wash on the test drive I'll throw up. If you wonder why it randomly gets really quiet, i accidentally covered the mic up a couple times. It also has a 3k RPM Startup if you didn't already know, which is why it's really loud at the start but dies down. And yes it's loud. Sorry.
I had no idea cowl induction worked like this. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] Guess it's just the Chevelle though...
I had no idea cowl induction worked like this. next purchase shall be muscle car though that will be a while from now :v:
Cowl induction takes advantage of the high pressure zone in front of the windshield. Unlike a scoop, which creates drag, there is a lot of good air that can be collected from the cowl without effecting aerodynamics.
Seeing as I Don't want to make a thread, and know not alot about the specifics of cars. Could anyone give me an insight as to how difficult a 50 year old restored Porsche 356 would be to maintain/use? It is the only car I desire to use, any variant of it, ando ne which I some day hope to own.
Lots. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] Lots and lots. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] Isn't this car in Top Gun? :v:
My dad built a 356 as a kit car. Damn it, he sold everything good he had before I was born. I'll never forgive him for selling his Ferrari 275.
What is it?
Sorry for the lateness, but it's a 1993 Ford F-150.
gas in california is over 4 dollars fuck
gas in california is over 4 dollars fuck
I fell your pain 3.999$ for gas. 60$ for a week. I should start driving economical... nope.
That thing is really sweet. I wish we had something/I could afford something like that over here in the US. Have you taken a video of what it sounds like?
I did, the quality isn't very good as it was taken on my phone so you have to turn your volume up, but you get an idea: I'm thinking of getting one of those GoPro HD cameras actually has anyone got any experience with them?
