[QUOTE=TestECull;34889018]1980-1996 Ford F150 300ci I6 or 302ci V8, manual.
1980-2001 Chevy Silvarado 1500, 4.3 V6 or 350ci V8, manual.
1980-1990 Dodge D100, 225 slant six or 318ci V8, manual.
1980-1995 Toyota Hilux, 22R/RE, manual
Can't go wrong with any of those, and I guarantee you can find one that's still got 150,000 miles left in it in that price range. Oh, and fuel economy is why I listed 'manual' with each one, the automatic models will get an average of 12-14MPG while the manual ones will get 15-17MPG combined. The Toyota is the oddball, it will do about 30MPG combined with a manual and about 25-27 with the auto, so if you absolutely must have an auto look for a Toyota above the others.[/QUOTE]

I honestly can't wait until I'm out and about on my motorcycle. Carbon fiber knuckles + windows = one pretty big surprise to drivers texting.
Yeah, then they run you off the road when they realize a guy on a motorcycle just smashed their window
I honestly wouldn't put it past someone, I'd never text or call while driving but if someone hit my car or threw something at my car, or otherwise just did anything to it in general, i wouldn't just sit back and watch :P
I realize it was probably just a joke, and i chuckled a little, too, but hey I'm just sayin.

Wtf, something's up with my odometer. According to that VIN check service Conk...Concur posted about, in just under two years, the only two times the mileage on my truck was ever reported, my truck managed to do 100,000 miles. Exactly. My odometer is still frozen on the number, which was reported in May of 2006. I did the math and it comes out to just over 150 miles a day, for 22 months...I'm thinking the odometer was swapped at some point perhaps? Hopefully...
[editline]29th February 2012[/editline]
93,024 in July 2004
193,024 in May 2006
My odometer still says 193,024.
Still wondering what "department of defense recovery vehicle" means (badge on center of windshield)

My car is going to break the 98k marker this week.
Only took it 24 years :v:
Now, I have to replace the entire brake assembly. (God damn pads are gone AND rotors are shit - its all still stock)

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I don't really like the curved front end, and the back end reminds me of a brick. Thoughts? (Agree for like, disagree for dislike, or useful for neutral)[/QUOTE]
Like the V12, like the fact that it's faster 'round their track than everything else they sell, can't say I'm fond of the computers or flappy paddle gearbox they come with. I'd much rather have a 6MT and no computers, even if it means i'm slower than someone with the flappy paddle and computers, because I'll have more fun.
Overall I'm neutral on it. Don't want it, but I wouldn't say no if someone just gave me one either.

700r4 says "om nom nom gasoline". Nothing wrong with it reliability wise, but it's not going to be doing your MPG any favors.

Someone slapping a 2.0TDI (diesel) badge on a VW Golf R32, a much much quicker 3.2 V6 4WD car. Normally I see people sticking false badges to gve a better image of the car but it's so much better to disguise it as a boring sales rep car and shock people off the lights. Only those in the know would take notice of the dual exhausts.
Friend finally got a car
1988 Monte Carlo SS white and clean as Hell.
Shall get pics soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put dual exhausts on a 2.0L TDI. Hell, I'd do it too, pending mods to the engine that actually necessitate the upgraded exhaust piping. I hear it's piss easy to get those TDIs to overload the capacity of the front tires to put the power down without affecting their economy.

Oooh, niiiice. Wouldn't mind one of those in my driveway.
Any tips for removing small window tint, my rear sliding windows have some ugly purple tint on them right now that is a bitch to get off. My best idea is to use a heat gun to peel it off but my dad threw out our old one because it spewed white flakes whenever we used it so we have to buy a new one.
Gasoline or Paint thinner. Razor blade.
Go get 'er.

Ahh, didn't notice. I'm not really a sporty-Golf fan. I think they're too slow to be marketed as sporty.
Anyone recommend me a really sleek, stealthy looking face plate. Money is no concern, I'll find a way.
Similar in design to something like this: [thumb]http://dsupdate.net/_external/266350_revo_6l.jpg[/thumb]

I used a steamer i bought from walmart, but it took all fucking day to just do the back window. It makes all the glue wipe away if you wipe it as soon as you remove the tint, just make sure you get both layers at once. My rear window has clearance issues near the bottom, because it's so steep, so i wasn't able to all the glue off near the very bottom.
