Found out that a guy I know on another forum owns a Lotus Esprit (mid 90s from the looks of it). Lucky bastard.

That reminded me, I can't wait for Metro:Last Light
[QUOTE=Waffle99;34950936]so, Ford Fiesta vs Mazda 2 vs Toyota Yaris vs Honda Fit vs Fiat 500 vs Scion IQ Ill be buying a new car in a few months, US versions just to help out and still cant decide, ive been able to test drive a few and they are all so likeable.[/QUOTE] Ford Fiesta - Yes Mazda 2 - Yes Toyota Yaris - Yes, surprisingly not as old-people looking any more. Honda Fit - No, old people car. Fiat 500 - Yes Yes Yes! Though the US Spec has limited personalisation features. Scion IQ - No, goofy looking. Imagine that on the highway too. I think you should make a poll.
What? The Yaris is fucking ugly now. I love the first and second gens. And I hate new cars. I drove a red first gen hatchback, was one of the nicest driving cars I've been in. Would have been better if it was a manual... But it wasn't mine so idgaf
They're old people cars here! (We don't have the saloon version here btw)
Do you guys kind of have a name for your vehicle, I reffer to mine as Mar some times but that's only online, outside of online I call it Ramenstein.
[QUOTE=Valon Kyre;34961526]Do you guys kind of have a name for your vehicle, I reffer to mine as Mar some times but that's only online, outside of online I call it Ramenstein.[/QUOTE] My car previously belonged to my mother and she named it. Therefore my car is called [I]...The Babe.[/I] :/
I constantly refer to my car as "stupid piece of shit" Speaking of that, used seafoam today in my has tank and throttle body and I think my chugging problem is gone :D but we'll see
Hey son, you taking the babe out for a ride?
[QUOTE=Valon Kyre;34961526]Do you guys kind of have a name for your vehicle, I reffer to mine as Mar some times but that's only online, outside of online I call it Ramenstein.[/QUOTE] Sometimes I call mine "Motherfucker" because it refuses to run correctly despite the hours of work I've put into it. [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] Also I just got this [url]http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/2878326472.html[/url] guy's supposed to bring it to me sometime.
Anyone read about this yet? [url]http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/28/business/us-rule-set-for-cameras-at-cars-rear.html?_r=2[/url]
Hey guys, I have a question about fuel consumption. It regards going slower to save gas. So say you go 10 miles at 60MPH and 10 miles at 30MPH. Do you use the same amount of fuel, or will going 30 use less fuel to go the same distance? I know it sounds like a fucking retarded question but I seriously don't know.
You need to factor in the amount of times you brake, accelerate, etc. You would save more gas going 60mph for ten miles on a highway than 30mph on roads

There's a lot of variables that go into saving gas, you can't decide by just the speed you're going

Assuming the car is kept at that speed with no braking/slowing down. Hurrah, my Environmental Science studies have become useful!
Dip, 56MPH isn't the perfect speed for every car. Gearing, wind resistance, and fuel maps all come into play. On some cars the most efficient speed is 45, some it may be as high as 60 or more.
Just goes for cars in general, weather in general, gearing in general, drag in general etc. I know exactly what you mean, I agree.
i call my car the purpetrator
My car is unnamed. I haven't even gone more than 95 on it, I haven't "deflowered" it yet :v:
So you guys know how I've been coming around here for months and months now whining about how awesome the gopro is and about how bad i want one? Asking how everyone that has been getting on likes them and all that jazz. well: [img]http://puu.sh/jc4O[/img] :D :D Will be here monday, I'm sure I'll do a video shortly after
[QUOTE=Dip;34961621]My car previously belonged to my mother and she named it. Therefore my car is called [I]...The Babe.[/I] :/[/QUOTE] My aunt called my car 'Baby 'Stang', which is also pretty cutesey. Plus i don't really like mustangs.
Fuck. My truck threw a code on the way home. [quote] Code 43 ELECTRONIC SPARK CONTROL (ESC) CIRCUIT [/quote] My knock sensor, or uh, something else. [quote=http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/tbi/565591-code-43-esc-knock.html]The conditions for setting this code are: Engine is running ESC input signal has been low more than 2.23 seconds Typical causes for this code include: 1) Open or shorted knock sensor 2) Loose knock sensor 3) Excessive mechanical noise within engine 4) Improper or incorrectly installed PROM or CALPACK in the ECM or defective ECM 5) Intermittent open in the EST line to the ignition module[/quote]
[QUOTE=Dylan_94;34965718]My aunt called my car 'Baby 'Stang', which is also pretty cutesey. Plus i don't really like mustangs.[/QUOTE] Yo Dylan there's a guy selling an EF Si in Lawton (the one I posted about getting), he fell through on our deal. You should totally pick it up :P The "Z1 BLOCK" he has is actually a complete motor. just need a tranny and the D series linkage and it'd be a nice Si. :P
I haven't really come up with a good name for my car, short of "the gas sponge".
Maybe it's time to buy a can of Seafoam.
