OEM ones or Projector ones? I replaced my old yellow blacked out oem ones with brand new crystal clear OEM style, with HID's in them (Hate on me :v:)
Just aftermarket headlights not projectors or HID's. I'd post picture from site but they dont do justice
Mine looks like this currently (Even if the picture comes back from December, where I got them) Lovely brand new clear
Mines acutally look pretty much just like that, the stock ones faded so im like fuck this new ones. I might acutally buy a grand prick for myself if im told big repair bill. One in NJ for under 3k
OEM lights are sexy on prix anyway.
I don't think projector lights are very cool looking at all imo, I prefer regular headlights just cause all projectors are the same 3 lights on each one spider looking like i want to squash the shit out of it before it crawls on me. ..right?
I want an s2000. It's all i want.
Lies, my car does not sound like a vacuum cleaner, it sounds like an average car
He's probably referring to the tuned ones where people think attaching a helicopter engine to the exhaust manifold means mega powaarr. All you hear is the howl of a turbine with the fainted sound of a shattered axle flopping around and pounding the hell out of the gearbox. That sound is one of the reasons I'm not all that fond of turbos, matter of fact. I don't enjoy that sound. Four cylinders sound fine as-is, give 'em nice cams, short-ram intake, and a header, and they sound fucking awesome. Some slight forced-induction whine is nice as long as it doesn't drown the rest of the engine out. But if all I can hear is the fucking turbo? Blah. Do not want.
Was headed to my parents' for birthday dinner and decided to play around.
I tell you Brad, I like honda guys who aren't vtecjustkickedin guy. Stupid VTEC is just a stupid economic thing.
Mivec kicked in yo Wait...
I'm sad my car isn't V-Tec because the V-Tec was the high-end model. But I just have the SR so I got the 2.3L 160HP instead of the 2.2L 190HP :(
I enjoy screaming VTEC YOOOOO out the window of cars at people in riced hondas that we drive past they look quite buttdevastated.
I dislike inline 4's cause they sound like a vaccum cleaner, Anyway going to pop in the shop tommorow see the bill. Otherwise start looking around
Sound like a vacuum cleaner... haha, right. Driving american and some japanese chink car comes up to you race him and just wait for the nuke to kick in.
Sound like a vacuum cleaner... haha, right. <video snippage
first one sounds so suspiciously like a 350 V8 that I call dubbed video. That bike sounds great, looked up other vids of it, but holy shit the one you posted is pitch-perfect for a smallblock V8 at anything over idle, and being that dubbing accurate V8 noises is piss-easy to do these days, I call shenanigans on the footage. Second one sounds like an old F1 car. Love it. Third one sounds like a ho-hum commuter car on accel, and on decel it sounds like it's coming apart. GG, turbocharger. Ruined yet another engine's song. Too quiet on power, absolutely zero throatiness, and the anti-lag system sounds like absolute ass on decel. Blah. Want a good-sounding I4? Have a listen to these Escorts. THAT is what an I4 is supposed to sound like. No jet turbine screaming, no anti-lag making it sound like the rods are breaking, no v-tec nonsense, just sweet engine noise.
I want to see someone making 600+ horsepower out of a 1.6 liter without a turbocharger. It's necessary and it is a great noise. I love the sound of a spooling turbocharger. It's like the sound you hear right at the moment you realize you are going to die.
I was fucking around on SLRR and I managed to make a 566 hp supercharged 2.2 running methanol with nothing but factory components and a upgraded factory head, this was on a clean install of 2.2.1. Also, magnafloooow (I have no idea why it deleted it last night) Thinking of swapping it for a flowmaster 40 series for a more throaty sound. Video really wrecks the sound during the rev half way through, sounds a lot quieter and the fan drowns it out a little.
I've heard enough of them in real life and they're pretty close. I don't know much about the tech, but something about their crossplane crank gives it a distinct sound.
Bisimoto or whatever has a 700+ HP Wagovan civic, and it's street legal
I followed his wagon build when he first did it. I love Bisimoto.
I love my car. North-East of England to Horst, Netherlands and back on 1.5 tanks of fuel. 52MPG. £137. With 4 people and the car full to the roof with gear. Seriously great car, I think if this one ever packs up I'll get another of the same car, why oh why did they stop making them. Driving on the wrong side of road was easy, trying to read dutch signs that looked important was not :v: - The shear lack of speed limit signs made things a bit difficult.
I've heard enough of them in real life and they're pretty close. I don't know much about the tech, but something about their crossplane crank gives it a distinct sound.
Huh. Well that'd explain it. I figured, since they were I4s, they had flatplane cranks. It's uncanny though. Idle sounds like any fourpot. Anything over 1500-2000 RPM sounds like an SBC. It's interesting to say the least, and they do sound pretty sweet.
I Thinking of swapping it for a flowmaster 40 series for a more throaty sound.
No. Flowmasters barely out-flow stock. Keep the magnaflows. It sounds sweet and they flow better than the stock crap.
I want to see someone making 600+ horsepower out of a 1.6 liter without a turbocharger.
Sounds the same to me as the car you linked. That one literally has a heli engine in it. Also, I'd rather drive the van. At least it has a valid reason to sound like a jet, and also, the power's going to the correct end when you're in the go-fast mood. The turbine is hooked up to the rear wheels. The guy even left the stock powertrain up front for daily driving. Oh, and I don't have anything against turbos. I rather like these two, which coincidentally make twice what the one you linked makes. Best part? Neither of them sounds like a helicopter on takeoff. So why does everyone who boosts a Honda have to make it sound like there's a Pratt and Whitney under the hood? I don't get it. It's possible to turbocharge an engine to the moon and back and have it sound like an engine, yet it's rare when people do. I also don't have anything against the sound of a Honda engine. They sound pretty sweet after a header and a nice intake.
It's necessary
No, it isn't. See above engines. They're making twice the power of the one you linked, yet you can barely hear the turbos at all. Also, there's this little invention called a Supercharger, which allows you to boost engines without drowning out the engine's noise quite easily. A centrifugal supercharger is barely audible, will fit anywhere under the hood you care to put it, makes tons of boost, doesn't need BOVs and wastegates to avoid annihilating the engine, doesn't require horrible-sounding anti-lag systems to give boost at all engine speeds, and is a bit more reliable in the hands of a driver that doesn't let the car idle before shutting it off. Tuning it is also piss easy, more boost --> smaller pulley, less boost --> larger pulley. I love 'em. Simple, effective, reliable, no lag, sounds sweet, and by the time you need an intercooler to avoid detonation you're putting out far more power than a streetcar has any business putting out.
and it is a great noise.
Then you must enjoy the sound of a helicopter starting up. I, personally, do not like that sound. I think it sounds awful. The engine makes a fine song on it's own accord, no need to drown it out with the drone of an enormous turbine.
It's like the sound you hear right at the moment you realize you are going to die.
Incorrect. The turbo spool is the sound that tells you fun is about to commence.
there's a silver FC for sale down the road from my house that looks awesome. justin, buy it
The shear lack of speed limit signs made things a bit difficult.
Maybe I'm just used to it because I live where there's no such thing as a speed sign(People steal them, the state never puts them back up), but I've never had any issue getting a good speed that's not gonna cause a wreck without a sign telling me a number.

Honestly can't comprehend that kind of power from such a small engine, making reasonable torque. That must be one bif fuck off turbo.

lots of tarbo bitching up in here? What y'all have agaisn't easy and efficient horsepower with incredible reliability and reasonable fuel consumption? I always here people bitching about my I6 turbo instead of the O' mighty ls swap they all tell me to do, most of those "advices" come from econobox driver and lol'MURICAN'V6'MUSTANG
