Exhaust, worn/damaged leaf spring (big end or U bolt area?) or maybe hella rear end slack. Only three things I can think to make that noise.
Rear end is new...ish, so it's not lose. the u-bolts are tight, no play in the u-joint, i don't think. so it's probably the exhaust.
The eclipse was never fast in the first place IIRC
For a $1000, sure. It's paint is awful and rims are a ney. It's really the ultimate Fast and Furious car. Keep looking, you won't regret it
Yeah I thought so, what I really want is an Volkswagen Rabbit pickup/hatchback as my first car (ya ya its a "girls" car)
Got my blazer today. It's so much fucking fun. It has a bad EGR valve though so it stalls every time i stop.
Im going to look at a Blazer next week, it looks good too.
Styling by Saturn
FTFY Styling by Saturn If you have an eye for detail, you'll notice it's a Cutlass Supreme that came out 4 years before the first Saturn.
I wouldn't mind an early Saturn, the ones that look like early 90's Pontiacs. :v: And...I guess that Cutlas Sup too. [editline]15th March 2012[/editline] Hey, that's where I work...http://www.katu.com/about/events/121594404.html The Recycling center, not the Wheel of Fortune
Didn't the Eclipse pretty much turn into a turd in the late 90's anyways?
2000 DSM-based Eclipses are great cars. [editline]16th March 2012[/editline]
The eclipse was never fast in the first place IIRC
Bullshit
2000 DSM-based Eclipses are great cars. [editline]16th March 2012[/editline] Bullshit
It really depends how you define fast, but the 90's Eclipses did have fairly good power to weight ratios and had some nice pickup.
Yeah I thought so, what I really want is an Volkswagen Rabbit pickup/hatchback as my first car (ya ya its a "girls" car)
Car is painted butt ugly and is probably an RS model, which had the shiity (albeit still reliable if you didn't riceboy them) 420A engine. If you want a DSM that is a great choice, finding one that hasn't been hammered will be hard but you will not be disappointed with it. They are plenty fast, reliable, and easy enough to work on. Browse around for a 1990-1994 model. They were more reliable and are often WAY cheaper. You'll want an Eclipse in GS, GS-T or GS-X trim, an Eagle Talon in ES/TSi or base (NO DL! Those had shit 1.8s), or my favorite; a Plymouth Laser in any level of RS trim. I'm a DSM guy by heart even though Honda is what I dabble in most. The 1990-1994 DSMs are my favorite cars (though the 95-99 Eclipse is my favorite body). The 95-99 DSMs might get called girly by some pricks but they aren't a fucking Miata.
The only problem with the blazer, other than the egr valve, is this goddamn annoying dull bang in the back every time i hit the gas, hit a bump, or brake. I've elimited the rear seat, all the junk in the back, i have no fucking idea what it is. Everything in the chassis is solid and doesn't move around so i have no fucking idea.
rear driveshaft u joint?
You guys ever clean your vehicle for fun or out of boredom even when it's already clean? I went over a good majority of my truck today and cleaned it, even though I have washed it every time I so much as moved it which translates to 10 washes for 15 times I've driven it. I like keeping it nice, I take pride and put my heart into my truck.
On the subject of Eclipses, woo hoo only $2,000 http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/2904719152.html

I'd like to clean my truck, but it would be pointless. :\ I do need to clean my bed though. I think it's got asphalt, or tar or something in it...
Isn't that based off the Saturn concept from 84?
Yeah, the design was originally supposed to be for Saturn, but GM being GM decided to let Oldsmobile use the Saturn design first. Yet another prime example of how GM destroyed its credibility by letting its nameplates copy each other.
My mind has been blown, the new NASCAR Charger looks like a real Charger. [t]http://carphotos.cardomain.com/story_images/1/2469/1421/6170710003_large.jpg[/t] I thoroughly approve. I hope other manufacturers change styling a little more like their real cars or change their real cars to conform. It'd make for a more realistic race experience, you'd actually be able to tell what fucking cars are running.

Yeah, sucks that they limited it to 4dr/auto. I'm no NASCAR fan but this is a HUGE step up from previous Dodge Charger body:

Holy shit look at this The first is real, second is photo shop from a 69 Mach 1 but fuck they both look good. It makes want to get the Mustang just so I can "retro it out" it'd be done pretty easily
um did you mean to say the 2nd is real because the first is fake
No I read the thread for the them. The second is fake and photoshopped, the guy was trying to see if it would look good. Some Magnum 500 rims with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's, black out hood and spoiler, shaker hood scoop, get some of those chrome letters and put Ford on the back with Mustang on the front, blackout back panel, BOSS striping, rear window louvers. That'd be so fucking cool.
I dunno something about that front wheel on the first looks like a photoshop to me...

Maybe they're both photoshopped I don't know, I know it's possible though. Either way I wanna do it
Or the first one is photoshopped and the second one is real. Don't know why that'd be so hard to understand :P If you want to go off the forums credibility, they told you the first one was real. It's pretty obvious it isn't, so I'm willing to bet that they are wrong about the second one...Either it's a very good damn shop, or it's real [editline]16th March 2012[/editline] Although looking again the back wheel on the red one looks off as well. Probably both shopped then.
