All right, meet up sounds good. I'll be there too guys
Yeah, how do i get there best from central NM?
A guy is wanting to trade a custom 1991 Chevy Suburban with a lift and AT tires (maybe more stuff, I don't know) for my 1995 Mustang GT (auto with custom exhaust and cobra rims) plus my seemingly unsmoggable (custom) 1976 Dodge Ramcharger. They both need a new paint job and interiors, but run great. He says the suburban runs good too with 170xxx miles on it. What do you guys think? Straight trade? Trade with some cash? The ramchargers are kinda rare around here, but I'm too busy to try and figure out why it wont pass smog right now.
DPKiller almost broke his Audi today

I didn't mean a meetup for Facepunch, I meant for us oklafags. Dylan lives super close to me.

I40 to I44, that's really it. I40 for 8 hours. :P
Depending on where in Oklahoma you live, I can be there in 10-16 hours :v: I dunno what I would do there though
[editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
I could probably learn a hell of a lot about cars from you though, nobody I know has enough time to teach me about them. I can check transmission fluid and check oil and maybe change it, and change a tire but that's the extent of my car repair knowledge :\
Man, if everyone actually wanted to come to Oklahoma for a meet, I might save up and rent a local track and we can horseass around for a day.
Maybe sometime over the summer.
I'd be down, depending on whether you live in the western half or eastern half of Oklahoma
If I had tons of money, and no responsibilities, I'd totally drive cross country.

If I have my license, my GTO, a free week, and some spare cash, I'd definitely be up for it.
It'd be my first road-trip.
Where exactly in Oklahoma do you live?

I wouldn't do it, Ramcharger and Mustang are way cooler. Pics of the Ramcharger, I love pre 1980 rams!
I would, but that's because I'm a Chevy fan.
[editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
And I think his Mustang is borked.
If I was going to go up a hill and wanted to change from D to 3 or 2, would I have press on the brake while doing it, or could I switch to a lower gear at any speed?
[editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
AT car by the way
It's AT so it should just do it on it's own, but I'm pretty sure you can just move the gear shifter. Just don't shift into first on the freeway or something stupid like that.
[editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
Bradley correct me if I'm wrong.
[editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
I'm pretty certain I'm not.

In my step-mother's Corolla, you can go from D>3>2 at any time that your speed is not too fast for the gear, but it will not blip the throttle for you, so put a little throttle in when you switch down and it will smooth out the transition.
Any chance I get when driving that car I use 2 and 3 unless I'm on the highway, D is just so dull and boring on back-roads.
I live near the mountains, there's lots of hills so I wanted to see if switching to a lower fixed gear would help me get up hills faster; sometimes my AT is stuck between two gears and I end up slowly inching up the hill

What are the speed limits on these mountains?
Or better question, how fast are you going?
[QUOTE=teslacoil;34584033]What are the speed limits on these mountains?

Also, how would I get the most fun out of driving an automatic? Any techniques, tips? Driving is starting to get boring
For anyone wondering I live in Kellyville, Oklahoma. Meetup would likely be in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, or Tulsa.
Sweet, any of those cities is only a 10 hour drive and I'd only need about $150-200 for gas

Sweet, only a 35 hour-drive and nearly $300-$400 worth of gas.

True! And plenty of stalls considering I'll hopefully have the 240SX shortly. Someone's coming to see the truck tommorow who "needs a truck asap". Can't wait! Also gonna see the 240 Again tommorow, haven't seen it in a few months (Although it drove right past me the other day).
I would come. Only 300miles. 5 and half hrs.
~60$ of gas if I light foot it. POWERRRRRRRRRRRRR

Only 300miles? Do it. I live 3500km away and I would go if I could (get the time off work and school and afford it).

[sp]Nifty feature, you can get a short URL for a google map view. Good job Google.[/sp]
I might actually set this up. It would be cool.
It'd be me, Jap, DP, Glitch, maybe Dylan... And maybe Zags too since he's close (~50 miles?).
Would be cooler if some of the more active members came too.
Who would be down for a meetup in... say, July? August?
[url]http://g.co/maps/ry743[/url]
Just under 700 miles, doesn't seem too bad
How long would this meet-up last?
[editline]6th February 2012[/editline]
Mid-August would work for me
2-3 day's?
Give a day for everyone to arrive, next day to do crap and another day to fix the crap that we broke the day before.
