the video crashed firefox too!
I don't really like the FP Android app, it rarely shows pictures and videos, and the spellcheck doesn't work so I get worried over typos. It also fails with å, ä and ö :v:
F1 2011 is the only game i will accept 14th position on (with the beginner AT&T Williams car), it's so fucking hard. ABS is the only assist i have on (i can't modulate the brake the same way i can in forza).
Especially half way through a race (i only race ~12 laps, ~56 is just too intense for me), the tire debris (marbles) on the track make it suck dick/slick if you even slightly go off the main line. So if you brake late on a corner, you're going to be putting around the whole thing until you get on the good part of the track so you don't spin.

I prefered 2010, DRS and KERS was a ballache sometimes, and also I could play monaco smoothly

I couldn't stand the physics in 2010, they just seemed wrong. Like an arcade sim, which just doesn't really work for me, i couldn't wrap my mind around it. The traction in 2011 seems a lot more predictable.
I feel like this game would be a lot easier with a good wheel.
That's an impressive lap, btw.
[editline]3rd April 2012[/editline]
w00t, i got 2nd in qualifying, and finished 2nd in spain (Circuit de Catalunya). That's a lot better than my last couple of races (finishing lower than 14th every time).
fuck monaco, i quit. It's the stupidest track ever created.
maybe not but they are still faster than a golf
The 1975 Golf GTI MK1 did 0-60 in 9.0 seconds.
The original MX-5 which was produced in 1989 (14 years later) did 0-60 in 9.1 seconds.
The MX-5 wouldn't receive a better engine until 1994.
So stop dissing the Golf, it's been putting out for over 35 years.
[sp]The MX-5 did have a slightly faster top speed though...[/sp]

So I took it to the carwash and to get some gas.

It's almost scary powerful. The slightest bit of pedal makes it feel like the engine is trying to rip itself from the chassis and take off, leaving me sitting there in the seat like some sort of crazy cartoon. I have been babying it and still almost got it sideways pulling out of the carwash. Dat LSD/torque!
I'm incredibly happy with it. Hell of a motor, hell of a car, still have some bugs to work out but it's getting there!
Hehehehehehehe.
Soooo. Not really sure what to do about this. My cousin just recently got out of the hospital, she was in a coma for 10 days because she was so sick, she had gone into respiratory arrest in the emergency room. She's been trying to get off drugs for a while now, but things had been starting to get better for her. She'd been clean for almost a month now...and well..this morning she died. She got kicked out of the hospital because she didn't have insurance, with a blood clot in her lung. She woke up this morning, came up stairs, talking about her plans for the weekend(her birthday is on friday, she would have been 28) and about her kids. She started to cough, and said she couldn't breathe. My mom couldn't get oxygen on her fast enough. She started to gurgle, and...she pretty much bled to death. Within 20 minutes of her getting up this morning, the paramedics called it.
My mom called me as I was on my way to work this morning. Kind of numb right now. :(

Wow, I mean... I dunno what to say, I just saw my cousin the other day and met her fiancee and hadn't seen her in years, so that's really surreal for me to read. I think everyone here can agree that it's a terrible loss and I offer my condolences for you and your family.
In those times, I just like to fill up my gas tank and take a long drive in a quiet area. It allows me to think. I am deeply sorry that that had to happen to you, losing a family member like that is just tragic, and getting kicked out of the hospital... that really makes me question the benefits of privatized health care.
Not like socialized Medicare is any better buuuuuuuutttt let's not get into that
Not like socialized Medicare is any better buuuuuuuutttt let's not get into that
I dunno, I've never been denied medical treatment here in Canada and have never had a family member kicked out of the hospital. But, that's getting off-topic.
On-Topic: Good News! They have invented yet another flying car!
http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/dutchmen-invent-flying-car-2012-4-2
And less exciting news, I've been running my new battery for a week after replacing the terminal clamp (?) and the battery is still working fine. It occasionally has a tiny bit of iggling while starting up but so far works absolutely fine. I'm going to assume that the alternator is good for now at this point.
After I finish blowing all my pay-cheque on my cousin's, sister's, mom's, aunt's, and other cousin's birthdays, I'll probaly spend a bit of money into getting my car inspected (finally) to see if the alternator really is dying, and fix anything that needs fixing. When summer rolls by, as much as I love the prelude, it doesn't really have a lot of potential, so I might sell it. Without an engine swap or forced induction, I won't really see any good performance gains out of my car, and with 280,000 kms on the engine, I'm not stupid enough to just throw a turbo on there.
It's been a great car for learning standard though and even if it does end up getting sold, I'll still always love it. It's been a perfect little car, and surprisingly, has even managed to fit people in the backseat.
Holy mother of fuck yeahs
Sold that mofuckin grand am

Maybe something vibrated loose or didn't get tightened? Did a shop do the work or was it a shadetree guy who just happens to do paid work?

I'd love to see the F1 Aussie race take place at Bathurst, but the FIA will never let it happen. Hell the only reason Monaco is still on the calendar is history, the FIA would love to do away with it but they know that track is 50% of why people watch.
The Tilke tracks, boring as they are, are what we have to look forward to. God I hope Tilke messes up with the Circuit of the Americas and manages to make a track that isn't parade-tastic. Abu Dhabi is probably the worst offender in this regard, I often don't bother watching that race at all unless f1.com reports a big crash or something.

Our mechanic shop has been taking care of our cars for years. Have a feeling the thing they didnt change on the engine went bad. Or a hose is leaking

Perhaps. Take it back and mention it sprung a leak, they should look into it and, if they worked on the part that started leaking, they should fix it for a reduced price if not flat-out on their dime. If the leak isn't the fault of something they worked on they'll at least find out why it's leaking again and quote a repair price.

Man, we went to this one mechanic for like 10+ years, and then with our maxima having small overheating issues, they decided to screw us to the tune of like $3000, by not fixing it correctly, and then charging for a bunch of unrelated crap that wasn't necessary and refusing to believe they were the ones who did it wrong.
Sounds like your typical New Mexican.

That's why i want to build my engine in my garage instead of sending it off to the guys that are "Oh just so amazing what they do, they won't rip you off i promise!"

My luck they'll not properly lube up one oring and blow the entire engine up.
Hey guys, I'm kind of new to this section. I saw it, and thought it would be cool to share where I just came from.
The Shell Eco-Marathon, in Houston, TX.
Short and sweet, our team (number 301) ran an urban concept car on diesel, on the 6 mile track. We consumed just short of 87 mL of diesel fuel and, after compensating for heat changes, were able to achieve 231 miles to the gallon. We placed second, after Louisiana Technical University.

Yeah last time we had an issue with something they fixed they took the hit no problem, I have a feeling its something else though. Before we took it due to coolant leaking and this appears (It was brown/black) all over the bottom of the engine bay and all over the side of the engine still leaking when i looked at it. Was pitch black out and didn't feel like tasting oil or coolant that second. Going to take it over in a couple hours to find out the issue

Thanks!
I have some more specifics on the car.. We're running a 219cc engine produced by changfa, with 4.4 hp.
Swedish gas prices are ridiculous, ca 16sek/liter, which is ca $2/liter, and 3.7l is 1 gallon so it's ca $8 per gallon.
I think, my brain stops doing math after 10pm. I'm sure about the Swedish prices and 3.7l = 1 gallon
