I doubt I could do it that late in the summer, as I'll be trying my best to get a job during the summer. I could make one little exception ...
It'll be kinda awkward to explain to friends and family though :v: "I'm going to drive 700 miles to another state where I'll drive around with people I met on the internet" :v:

Anyone? Anyone? Well, just come up with some sort of excuse like a car show or something.
I wouldn't do it, Ramcharger and Mustang are way cooler. Pics of the Ramcharger, I love pre 1980 rams!
Sure. my trip would be like 22 hours i think it said ):
I think it's pretty much off limits for anyone who would have to drive over 16 hours. Because that's basically a full day of driving (accounting for 8 hours of sleep) and I don't want a bunch of tired people driving so far. Mid august seems like it'd be the best time to do it.
I was really pissed so I went really fast today. I got my subie up to 135 and it was still climbing steadily. (On a closed course, of course!) So I got scared and let off. :tinfoil:

I've always wanted to track my car but there isn't anywhere in this state to do it..

I agree. But they really cannot make the claims and statements they do, considering the Grand Voyager is the only true Chrysler. The other three cars are re-badged Lacia's, of which only wear Chrysler badges because Lacia has one of the worst reputations of all car manufacturers in the UK.

If the front seat in the GTO is a bench seat, I'll just sleep in the car.
Who had the blue Corsa C again ? I was wondering what happend to it ... Tell us
Why are qualities bov so damn expensive to buy. I can make one with a CNC for 6$ worth of aluminium and 30min of programming
Left 2 hours early for school went south instead of north for about an hour and a half SO MANY TRUCK BEDS
Who had the blue Corsa C again ? I was wondering what happend to it ... Tell us
Never had the chance to take it to the dealship, but the other night it was about -5C and when i started the engine it made the same banging noise, then, again when i revved it standing still, whereas before it only did it when moving. It hasn't done it anymore since when standing still so i think the winter cold has pretty much told me it's the engine mounts. I'm still gonna get the wheels/CV joints/bearings checked out just incase though. Also my rear brakes, as the handbrake is pretty weak, and the front brakes because when braking at about 60-70MPH the car steers to the left. My dad talked to my uncle (The guy who owns a garage) about the 'mayo' appearing under my oil filler cap and as i suspected he said it's normal for small engines to do that during the winter. As long as i'm not losing water, which I'm not, it's fine. [editline]7th February 2012[/editline] Oh, and the reason it hasn't been fixed yet is because i need the car for Uni, next week i have a whole week off so I'm taking it in then.
Well that sounds ok i guess ... - You know you're addicted to cars when you &loop every good sounding car like this: http://www.youtube.com/v/2lQX3cOAbes&loop=1
Why are qualities bov so damn expensive to buy. I can make one with a CNC for 6$ worth of aluminium and 30min of programming
Just don't run one. They are not critical to the survival of your turbo like everyone likes to think.
Actually, they are. Maybe not when you're running low boost, but when you really get up there it starts to take a toll on a sleeve bearing turbo. Ball bearing turbochargers don't mind the abuse, but a sleeve (or journal, whichever term you prefer) bearing wears in a certain pattern, when a shaft rotating one way wearing the bearing in SUDDENLY rotates violently in the other direction (This is compressor surge -- the side effect of no BOV when you are pushing a good amount of boost) it causes excessive bearing wear because the shaft is going directly against the pattern it's already worn into the bearing. Boosting at ~5PSI on my old turbo CRX I didn't have a BOV hooked up. One was installed but I never used it, capped the vacuum off and left it be. I used a DSM 1G BOV on my last setup, which is one of my favorite cheap BOVs because they actually WORK, and can hold a moderate amount of boost (and then more, if you crush it). I prefer running a BOV with forced induction, generally turbocharging, because although it may not be as bad as people make it out to be, a BOV is a critical part of the setup and will reduce wear and increase the lifespan of a turbocharger. If you're running a ball bearing turbo, a BOV really isn't too critical. In fact, it's really not even needed then. Compressor surge is less hazardous to them due to the ball bearing. If your compressor wheel can hold up to the boost surge you're fine. This is why most pro setups with bb turbos don't use BOVs.
I completely disagree. I think that is misinformation spread by the companies that are selling the BOVs. Many endurance race cars run without any kind of bypass valve in order to eliminate the possibility of it leaking. They are surging constantly at high boost non-stop for 24 hours. More abuse than any of us could ever hope to put on a car in its lifetime. Most OEM cars ran without BOVs until they were added to get rid of the annoying noise associated with surge. I personally have never seen a turbo damaged for compressor surge. Corky Bell, author of maximum Boost, told me that he too has never seen a turbo damaged from compressor surge. This whole idea comes from axial turbines, where in a stall condition can surge perpetually, building vibrations which can damage the bearings. So its safe to assume that if you are in a state of constant surge with a radial compressor that you could damage it, but a short bursts of surge for a fraction of a second is not going to do anything.
Truck won't start, hopefully just needs some gas Also I don't think my choke is hooked up :v
I'll go to the meetup if someone from Florida is going :D. I'll help with gas, cocaine, and prostitutes. Prostitutes of the high class, Russian ones.

Mgear, I'd love it if you came. ...So I can punch you in the face for wanting to put EFs/CRXs in the Ugly Cars thread. :D But no really, it would be awesome. You're one of the first FPers I got to know.
I'll go to the meetup if someone from Florida is going :D. I'll help with gas, cocaine, and prostitutes. Prostitutes of the high class, Russian ones.
What meetup wherree?
Hey, people are entitled to Opinions. You should know that I've never liked them from when we used to get in loads of arguments about it.
What meetup wherree?
In Oklahoma. I want some rear disc brakes for my car, instead of the factory drums. I do a lot of hard braking and my brakes feel like they've turned into mush after only 3 hard stops. I just want new pads/rotors all around, because i still get some sketchy vibration from the front. Maybe if i get my license by the 17th, mechanic maestro bradley could give me a proper diagnoses in person.
Why the hell Oklahoma?
Because that's where Bradley lives.
Well if you're gonna be going through Alabama come get me. I'll get the coke if you get the hookers.
What about a 69 Chevy C20 for my Mustang? I know it might seem like a bad idea, but I love old trucks. I can also work on old engines much better than the new ones. Plus, my mustang is an automatic. I like mustangs, and I like the fact that its a GT, but being an automtic, I can pretty much forget my dream of having a super-fast-awesome-muscle-car. Plus there's a bunch of little stuff wrong with the interior/exterior cosmetics that I don't want to deal with to bring a car from 95 to where it should look. As opposed to an old truck, which I would be perfectly happy with flat black. What do you guys say? (Also no smogging because it's pre-1974 where I'm at)
