Post drinks, thin bitch how you have no cup holders.
I have cupholders but they're about an inch deep and two inches wide.
If you have the same ones my grand am had i dont see a problem
holds medium/large sodas and cans with ease

Who wants to freeze there nuts off? Or burn them when your drinking coffee.
Comanche on the other hand has a flat spot behind the shifter with 3inch sides, holds a drink but not upright, closeable beverages only, until i get a cupholder

Going to pully swap a riding mower with my cousin and turbo them with a old T3. I have the option between a twin cylinder 16hp Ariens HT16
[thumb]http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y268/Pontiac2001GT/TractorFront.jpg[/thumb]
Or a 14(?) or so hp single cylinder Case 444 (something around there, don't know the specifics)
[thumb]http://p2.la-img.com/460/16370/5420502_1_l.jpg[/thumb]
We will be pully swapping them but this is pretty much for which one gets the turbo, I'm leaning towards the Ariens since its a twin cylinder but the case looks pretty cool.
Ariens sounds badass, there is a verticals shaft one and a horizontal shaft, unless they are near the same just positioned differently I hope I have one similar to this one

I just realized it has not rained since i got my jeep on the road.
The mud puddle is drying up :(
Also, I guess the answer to John Fogerty's question is "Jeep Comanche".

Bro, that means you just gotta switch over to Baja 1000 mode.
it buys you many years of initial serviceless bliss
No guarantee of this. There's plenty of new cars sold in America that are built so shoddily that expecting them to outlive their own warranty is extremely optimistic. Just the same, you could stumble across some old beater that's as indestructible as the stars above and just keeps on going like that fucking energizer bunny.
Buying new is no guarantee of reliability, and buying old is no guarantee that itt'l fall apart.
better interior features
Better or more? Better is debatable. Not everyone wants satnav, six-way power heated leather seats and nine miles of dead trees lining their dashboard. I'm one of them.
OP never mentioned his preference for interior bits, he could be like me and prefer an interior that's just a simple cloth bucket, a few simple gauges, the controls, a radio, HVAC controls, and not much else. Or he could be a complete technophile and want every gadget mankind has ever invented stuffed in there somewhere.
stronger engines
Debatable. Some classes do have stronger engines than they did 20 years ago, some don't.
better MPGs
A 1991 Geo Metro 3cyl will get better MPG than a 2012 Toyota Prius for about 5% as much money. More reliable, better looking, and greener as well.
Cars from the 90s and so on aren't exactly known to be the best with gas.
Neither are modern cars. You can get a Prius to whore fuel down at 15-17MPG, and you can get a Crown Victoria with it's big-ass 4.6L V8 and slush-o-matic transmission to get 30MPG highway. Your fuel mileage is 60-75% how you drive it.
Besides, he's looking at V8 Mustangs. you think he gives half a shit about fuel economy? Nobody looking at V8 mustangs cares about fuel economy, if they were, THEY WOULDN'T BE LOOKING AT BLOODY MUSCLE CARS! It's a known fact that, if you're looking to buy a muscle car, you're looking to buy a car that gets absolutely abysmal MPG. That's one of the tradeoffs you make for that kind of performance. Big displacement, heavy, throaty, noisy, thirsty V8s are part of the muscle car equation, replace it with an efficient engine that makes the same power and torque and it's no longer a muscle car.
(usual suspects being an old Civic or a Golf or something)
So far nobody's said anything about a civic or a golf.
over a new Mustang just seems odd to me.
Isn't to me. I could name 20 different cars I'd rather have than a new mustang. A notable example that fits in with what that guy is looking for is the new Camaro SS. It's a muscle car when you want it to be, yet it will also carve corners pretty damn well when you need it to. It's also not as commonplace as concrete sidewalks, I see maybe one Camaro for every ten Mustangs in any given year range....including current.
He should probably check out some GM and Chrystler alternatives
GM yes, Chrysler fuck no. I've had three Chryslers and they've all been absolute heaps of fucking shit that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. They were all properly cared for too, go figure. Ford, Toyota, Honda, GM, Mazda even, all good brands that I'll happily buy from. Chryslers? You couldn't pay me to own one newer than about 1975 or so.
Yeah I'm just gonna let you continue this debate, since you like words. :v:
Get a mustang.
Get a mustang.
Just not a new one.
Just not a new one.
Yes a new one. I'd die for a new car with warranty.

1:59 is the juicy point. What I want to know is why they didn't have a CO2 fire extinguisher on hand. Engines require oxygen to burn, emptying one of those down the intake will flood the engine with inert CO2, displacing all the O2, and cause it to shut off. Much easier and safer than trying to block the intake with wrags 'n shit.
It also proves just how tough those old detroits were. It held together while revving up past 7,000RPM.
Here I'm going to settle this all. I explained this before but was a while ago.
I've been driving a 1995 Jeep Cherokee for over a year now. That car has plagued me with problems forever and gets 12 mpg. I like Cherokees, just not mine. I've been working for 3 years to put money towards a 80s Trans Am which are relatively cheap and I prefer GM to anything. But I'm going to college in August, 6 hours away and I need a reliable car to make that journey. My parents are using a extra college fund (I know that makes me sound spoiled and rich but it was a fund set up for me back in 2003 after my mom passed and I have a state scholarship so that money is used to pay housing and get me a car)
I have around $15,000 for a car 2005 and up I like muscle cars and until I can afford my dreaming older ones, I'll be having new ones. I want a Mustang because they have good power and look like the late 60s ones and it's the cheapest one. I'd rather have a Challenger R/T but they're so goddamn expensive.
If it was up to me, I would've bought a 87 Trans Am long ago. So there. I don't think I've typed that much here in a while :v:

OH AND A SHOUTOUT TO MY DAWG CONKUR REPPING MY GOOD NAME AND TELLING EM WHAT'S UP WHEN IM SLEEPING
Chrysler did change though. They discontinued all the shit cars they made and the current lineup is quite excellent, really. Unless you consider the 200 and 300 pieces of shit, that is. In that case I'm not so sure if it's an argument worth having.
ITT: Why spending $15,000 on a car is better than spending $3,000 on a better car
Seriously guys this is getting old, he didn't ask for explanations on why he should buy whatever the fuck he's buying
He asked if the mustang was good idea/cool/superswagstatus
I'd go for the Mustang, it's pretty cool. Yeah, they are common, but for good reason -- people like them. I don't think you will be disappointed. I'm not a Ford guy but you can't go wrong with a 'stang.

Not bad for a family sedan. Sure, it's an SHO. But still.
SA Spyder reminds me of the guy that tried to tell me that buying a brand new $35,000 Toyota Prius was better economically than buying a $1,500-$3,000 90's Honda CRX.
My grandparents are idiots, Entire family telling them don't fix the accord. What do they do? Fix the accord.
Car was bought for 2k Already had around 1.3-1.4k dumped into it since bought (Mechanical costs)
2200 New rebuilt tranny
125 on New front axle (Mavis installed a front axle horribley wrong or something 3 months ago cause they put one in too)
80 Engine mount
They want to take it back later to replace the valve gasket since it's leaking oil.

Im not seeing a problem here because those are pretty important parts.
Meh, Cubeman, they still have nearish the book value in the car, it's still not a terrible deal. Maybe they just REALLY like the car. I can understand that.
Sold my 88' Vic to the salvage yard today for $400. Kind of a good/bad thing... so used to having that car and now its gone.
